Cool Breeze Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

The technician that came out was very professional and polite - he even was early. He was patient with me, answering my questions and explaining everything as he went through the "check-list" for my air conditioning tune-up. The initial appointment was on the Friday before Memorial Day, and was a pretty cool day so no need for the air. However, when my husband and I came back from our extended Memorial Day weekend, we came home to find that the air conditioning didn't work. We called the emergency service on a Wednesday evening and was told that there was nothing they could do then and that we needed to call in the morning, which we did. The soonest that someone could come out was Friday afternoon. This would've been ok except for the fact that the temperature for Wednesday - Friday was in the upper 80s (and even hit 90 one of the days) so being without air conditioning was excruciating. When the 2nd technician came out on Friday, he quickly identified the issue - the 1st technician hadn't connected some wires which prevented the fan from blowing the air. I was a little disappointed that the company didn't reach out to apologize and perhaps credit me (I had to spend an additional $200 during the initial appointment to refill the Freon and replace an electrical connector). I waited a few days and finally emailed the company noting my displeasure and asked them if they would consider providing a free furnance check in the fall, which they agreed to. However, they told me that I needed to make sure to save the email exchange as they couldn't schedule or track it right now. So will update this post after the furnacecheck.

The tech Seemed like he didn't want to be here. I really don't know what he did besides put bleach in the pipe in my Hvac and hose off my outside unit. He said everything checked out. Tried to sell me an air purification filter system $700 plus dollars when it cost like $400-something online. Two days later my AC broke. The blower motor died. So I don't know how thorough their 200 point check is if a dying blower motor was not detectable. But I am not claiming to know anything about hvac systems so maybe that is possible. What really turned me off is that when I called them to come back to look at my machine after it stopped working the person i spoke with seemed really agitated and got real defensive when I started asking questions. So I canceled that service appointment.

Scheduling was a nightmare. The contractor never showed up on the scheduled date due to being held up at another job. The job was rescheduled. On the rescheduled date the contractor showed up outside of estimated window. My realtor was waiting at the house to meet him. I was never contacted about the service performed (no follow up), despite being the one who hired the contractor. The report he provided had one sentence on it and was not very detailed. I was overall very unimpressed with the service and would not hire again. My realtor also expressed his distaste with the contractor.

Everything was fine. They charged me more than the $59 big deal, it was an additional of $85 actually. They charged me extra because they put in a new Freon. He is a nice guy.

The technician was a little delayed, but called to let me know. When he showed, he started by suggesting a new unit, as the compressor is almost 20 years old. I quickly replied that I prefer to fix this one. He didn't follow that company line and fairly quickly diagnosed a cut low voltage wire on the compressor that triggers the solenoid. His test of the wire inside showed it was hot, indicating that the cut wire outside is likely the problem. He suggested that I do the work myself, saving $150/hr Once I got to it, threading a new wire through the outside wall required some widening of an existing hole, but it wasn't hard with the right tools, especially a spool of contractor's metal tape to pull the new wire. I greatly appreciate his honesty in trying to keep costs down.

Rene was polite, professional and very helpful. He talked to me as he inspected the AC system and explained in detail what he was seeing. He made some great recommendations about changing the type of furnace filters we use and he was replaced two worn parts on our 24-year-old unit. Now I feel confident that our AC will work all summer and we can start planning to replace the very old, worn system off-season when prices will be lower. Very happy with the whole experience with Cool Breeze.

Scheduling service was a breeze and the technician did a thorough job. He successfully identified a problem with our HVAC system. While it ultimately required the system to be replaced, he made the necessary tweaks to keep it running until the new system was intalled free of charge.

The appointment went quickly once the service provider arrived. He was efficient in diagnosing the issues and provided great service which had my home cooling down in no time.

Cool Breeze performed an AC inspection and the workman arrived on time. He did a thorough inspection and told me exactly what he was doing and giving me information about the operating condition of my unit. I was happy with their work and later called them back for repair work. Highly recommended!

My air conditioning is not functioning and I called Cool Breeze in order to get an estimate for a replacement unit. At first I was very pleased that they were willing to come on a Saturday to give me a quote. I was given the time frame of 10 AM -12 PM. I received a call at 10 AM indicating that the appointment would be closer to 1 PM. I did not receive any further response. I called at 1:30 PM and my call went straight to voice mail. It is now almost 2 PM (4 hours after the initial quoted time) and I still have not heard anything. I had the opportunity to use another company, however, I saw that the reviews for this company were good on Angie's List. I wanted to give them a shot. I am very disappointed by the professionalism of this company and do not recommend them at all.

Our Technician, Henry was awesome! He quickly found the problem, showed us what it was, fixed the unit, AND gave us tips on how to prolong the efficiency of our unit. We really appreciated that. Will definitely use them again!

Inspection went pretty well, A/C went out a couple days later and the owner quickly came out replaced the part. This company was one of the few in the area which would service a 5-story building.

This was my first time working with Cool Breeze and I have to say that the experience was great from the phone rep setting up the appointment and later confirming, to the Tech arriving on time and performing a thorough analysis of my AC unit. The tech, Henry was very knowledgeable and was able to explain to me what he found and what needed to be done to avoid future issues. Cool Breeze is my new source for plumbing, heating, and AC needs. I'll schedule another appointment for the Fall for the furnace chec-up.

The installation process was on time. It took 8 hours which was expected. The installers cleaned before they left. There was a small paint chip on my door frame to the room containing the HVAC. Other than that, the service was great. Hope the Pepco rebate is processed soon.

Cool Breeze came and did a 20 point tune up, cleaned coils and top off levels. He found a few items that needed attention and we got them fixed for an extra cost.

Very polite, clean and knowledgeable technician. Went to work right away. I let him do his thing and did not watch him.. He gave me some suggestions. Suggested adding freon which I approved.

There were hiccups, but Cool Breeze management made it right. The servicemen are very professional. They are good people to work with.

Our A/C unit would not start up until Cool Breeze came by to fix it. They replaced the contact in the A/C unit, they filled up around a pound of coolant, and also upgraded our thermostat with a brand new one. Our technician, Henry, was really knowledgeable and took time to explain everything to us and also teach us about how to maintain the A/C unit going forward. Henry was really helpful and worked until past 11pm to get everything finished for us as we were his last job for the day. We will definitely be using Cool Breeze again in the future and would recommend them to our neighbors. We will be using them going forward for our maintenance every year

I had an excellent experience with this company. My AC stopped working and Ron offered to schedule me the same day. My building is 3 stories high with no access to the roof except with a ladder, so his regular crew wouldn't be able to service me the same day because they didn't have a 40 foot ladder on them. So we decided to have them come a different day. Henry and David came to try to access the roof with the ladder, but unfortunately the ladder wasn't tall enough. We decided to try to access the unit through a neighbor's balcony after the weekend. Henry came back to work on the unit. He did an excellent job. He was very courteous and highly knowledgable. He walked me through all the issues and explained the reasoning for replacing everything. He was able to finish the work quickly and get the AC running again. He also gave me some maintenance tips to keep the unit running properly. When it came to paying the bill, Ron gave me a good deal on some of the parts and waived the dispatch and maintenance fee. I plan on using this company again next year to have my HVAC checked. I would highly recommend using them.

we have been having trouble with our air conditioning unit, and issues with our furnace. I went through Angie's list and contacted Cool breeze and made an appointment for the next day. I received a courtesy call an hour before he was scheduled to arrive. when he arrived he took a look at the furnace and quickly deduced the problem and fixed it with no problem. he also took a look at our air conditioning unit and replaced the much needed parts while outside in the storm. I was very happy with the results and appreciated his professionalism. I highly recommend Cool Breeze plumbing heating & air conditioning if you need this type of work done in your home.

The technician was very detailed and went over all of the options for the cleaning. He gave me a step by step outline of how my vents would be cleaned and went over additional options for keeping my HVAC unit cleaned.
