Cool Breeze Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning

Went well. Pointed out some maintenance work that can be done to keep the unit in good shape, and was thorough in evaluating the health of the system. Tech was late to the property, but was due to an overrun from his previous job.

He was very understanding of my situation and checked both the outside unit and the indoor unit. The filter was filthy and he replaced it also checked everything listed on Angie's List. He was very friendly yet professional and answered all my questions. I would call Cool Breeze again and hopefully get the same service rep to come out. I am extremely happy with the service.and have recommended the company to my neighbor!! GREAT JOB!!

Initially purchased AC Spring tune-up, advised them going into it that the compressor fan wasn't working. The technician they sent out was able to quickly diagnose the issue as a busted motor fan. Since my unit was under warranty they were able to replace it for just labor. I did have to wait for the part to come in, which was fine. I swear they scheduled the appointment for Thursday but then they called me on Wednesday saying that the tech was on his way. I really can't say for certain that it wasn't a mistake on my part but they were very helpful and understanding either way. The technician, Matt, was a very down-to-earth guy and very friendly and knowledgeable.

Last summer, I was looking for a reliable AC company and bought the AC tune up deal that Angie's List offered after looking at reviews. I ended up having a pretty major issue before being able to use the coupon so I decided based on reviews to call them and try them out. I was pleased with the service, technician and response time. So when it came needing to replace my unit this year, naturally I wanted to give them the chance to provide that service. Unfortunately, after numerous attempts to get a quote from them to replace our AC and receiving no response I chose another company. We certainly understand how busy things get and so for that reason, we followed up at least 3 times (probably more) to get the quote. They had just been at our home and knew that we would need to replace and older unit. They apologized for not being responsive and promised to send a quote. We are still waiting for the quote. Since in the past they have been very good I will try them again however, I really feel like I should not have had to follow up that many times.

Rene was running late due a previous job that had complications. The office called to give me updates and gave me the option to reschedule. I went ahead and kept the day since I was home packing. When he arrived, he did a great job with the service. When performing testing, he let me know what the number should be before he took the readings. There was part that needed to be replaced in the outside unit and explained everything. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

We have been very pleased with Cool Breeze in the past years for both furnace and a/c checkups. However everything that could go wrong went wrong with the scheduling. First I had to call the office, although I had indicated when I bought the Angies Deal the dates of service I preferred. The person who answered the phone said that there was no record of my purchase, although I got an email confirmation from Angies List almost immediately after purchase. I went ahead and scheduled for 9-11 am on June 15. When it was past 10 am, I called to check on the appointment and was told the appointment was for 2-4 pm instead. When after 4, the tech had not arrived, I called and was told that the tech was just leaving Silver Spring to come to my house. I rescheduled for 9-11 am June 16. The tech did arrive on time this time, but the whole experience left me feeling totally frustrated, especially because we had received such good service from Cool Breeze in the past. It was only because of their previous good record I will not write them off yet.

The first provider we called no showed and never called to say they were going to be late so called Cool Breeze. The appt time was for between 5-8 and we called to check to see what time they might arrive at 7 and were told they would call us back. We checked in again at 7:30 and were told they were finishing up a job and then would be on their way. Got a call about 7:50 saying they were about 20 minutes away. So while I gave them a B for punctuality, I at least got a call and they did show up. Turns out they have been running service calls to fix a lot of AC units. Rene was the name of the tech and he was fantastic. Took him about 10 minutes to figure out the issue and about 15 minutes to fix and make sure things were working smooth. He also pointed out a few other issues with our AC unit, but nothing that needed immediate attention.

We used Angie's list to initiate the call. Their call center was professional - the technicians arrived in professional Cool Breeze trucks and uniforms. They were polite and friendly. Also cost sensitive. I was very satisfied. The nly grip was on one of the visits their window was from Noon to 2 and I had to call them at 2 to find out a when the tech was coming. The tech then call about a half an hour later and ended up showing at 3. Nature of the best but I would have prefered for them to contact me within the window to let me know status and that they would be late. Other than that I was very pleased with the over all experience and will certainly use them in the fall for my heating tune-up (assuming they have a reasonable promotion running)

No service was performed. See above. I asked for a refund.

Went great. Matt's very knowledgeable, professional, and quick. Price was quite reasonable and Matt had our unit cooling before he left.

Did not show for the appointment. I called 5 minutes before scheduled appointment time to confirm and was told by the receptionist, "you are on the list." No call back, no reason for the no show.

The primary phone number to the office was busy for an entire day, multiple calls over a 6 hr period, busy ever single time. Next day, got a human on the phone, they scheduled someone for the next day. Plumber showed up 1.5 hrs AFTER the 2 hour window; with NO notice, phone call or text. I had to call them. Plumber looked at the problem and said, oh, the house is old, you have asbestos- and went to van to call the office. I said do what you need to do, I need the pipe fixed and left for work, since he was very late already, I was late for work too. I texted after a few hours and asked about the asbestos test. He said, texted back he did not have a test kit with him. And, that he forgot his drywall saw, so he would tell the office to call me and reschedule. I called the office asking for a supervisor, hoping to get a new tech, quick service and possibly a discount for the problems, but I really just needed this pipe fixed in my ceiling. They took my information. Noone ever called me back. They were very unresponsive and unhelpful and terrible communicators. I still have a leaking pipe in my ceiling.

They installed air conditioning holding pan last year and had a great experience. This year, I am dealing with a main drain problem. I have been trying to get ahold of them, but have had an awful experience with communicating with Cool Breeze Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning. I have called them 5 times in the past 4 days. I am a returning customer and I am not happy with their lack of communication and follow up.

It went very good. First off, I was already without A/C for 5 or so days because of the Holiday weekend and I have a young daughter and dog at home all day so I really wanted to have someone out to take a look as soon as possible. Most companies we called could not get an appointment until Friday at the earliest but they managed to fit me in Wednesday (today a day after I called) morning at 7-8am. The technician arrived on time and was very friendly in diagnosing the issues and then he had to go back to get cabling and returned shortly after to fix it while I went back to sleep. After he was done I came down to pay him and everything was up and running very good. He gave me a discount for finding them through Angie's list without me asking for it and I thought the price was very good considering their were two separate things needed and usually just for diagnosis and a tune up/ coolant I am used to paying more than what I paid today. Very happy with going with Cool Breeze and as it was a very hot day today and we had had enough of the heat! Will definitely use again in the future.

When I called to schedule the appointment I was told that the company does not work in Virginia. I noted that their listing on Angie's List states that they work in most parts of Northern Virgnia. They said they however do not work in Virginia. Now I have to try to figure out how to get my money back from Angie's List for a service I already paid for, for a provider that won't provide the service.

I was extremely pleased with the overall service provided by Cool Breeze.All the way through the process everyone was professional and courteous. The office personnel were very pleasant to deal with when I had to reschedule my service appointment and worked with me to schedule a day and time that best suited me. The technician (Rene) called me the day of service to let me know he would be arriving during his scheduled time frame and showed up on time. He was exceptional in his professionalism,walking me through the entire process of inspecting our AC unit and guiding us in determining our best options in having repair work done. We were pleased with both the overall service and cost of repairs. We would highly recommend Cool Breeze to anyone in need of work done on their AC & Heaters!!

Excellent work. Sparkling new bathroom at a fraction of the price of "General Contractors". Very quick turnaround - the whole job was finished in a nine days! Perfectly on schedule. We chose to buy materials ourselves - we got a very detailed, easy to understand list of everything that was needed. Their folks worked clean and neat - when they were done every afternoon they cleared the area so that we hardly felt there was a renovation going on. What was nice is that they brought in experts for every phase of the work - a demo crew, drywall crew, a plumber, painter etc. and they all were experts at what they needed to do. They instructed us where to buy the four new cabinets that needed to go in at the end, it was a commercial plumbing & bath supplier but the cabinets were very nice, solid wood and reasonably priced. The supplier delivered the next day. Tiling was done really well - usually when you run your hand across tiles in a shower, some tiles are not flush with others - here the work was excellent - perfectly flat. And great color-matched grouting. So we were very satisfied. The business side, quality, workmanship, price and punctuality. And there's nothing like a new bathroom!

I called Cool Breeze Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning the morning of April 29 and was relieved when they indicated that a plumber would be able to come on the same day. However, when the plumber arrived he checked my toilet and stated that he would need to order a part. It had been over two weeks that visit and I have yet to hear back from them. The first time I called to inquire on the status of the arrival of the part, someone indicated that the plumber ordered and he was unsure as when the part would arrive. The second time I called, they indicated that the plumber would call be back and he never did. At no time did any person called to provide me with the status of the order or the repair. I find this company to be truly unprofessional and unresponsive. This is clearly an indication of poor customer service. Regular calls with a status update would have been so helpful. Now I am on a search for another plumber. The only positive outcome is that they had not charged me yet for the initial visit.

Not very well. Called to see about scheduling an appointment this week before purchasing an advertised offer and did not receive a callback. I would hope that a company advertising a special offer would call me back. Not the case.

I purchased a Diagnostic Plumbing service call from this company to have an Thermal Expansion Tank inspected. I contacted the company to set up an appointment and the representative informed me that a plumbing service call will not cover an inspection for a Thermal Expansion Tank. She informed me that service will take approximately 3 - 5 hours at their hourly rate of $150. Not worth it just to do a yearly review. It is a simple DIY project just for the yearly inspection only.

Matt provided a full service of older AC high velocity system including repair and replacement of broken condensation tube; Angie's Big Deal was for $59 service; extra $50 for repair/replacement, which I considered fair as Matt spent almost 2 hours on the job. For an additional $59 special price, Matt returned to repair gas leak in our furnace; he'd smelled slight gas odor while servicing AC, as my wife had, too, and fixed it, checked out burner, leaving both AC and furnace in good shape for total of $168; a good deal.

Problem turns out to be wrong air filter

Our old hot water heater sprang a leak at night, when it was too late to call around for repairs. I purchased the deal from Cool Breeze, worried we might wait days for service, but they contacted me the next morning. Ronen came out within a few hours, assessed the situation, and put in a new water heater. He was courteous and professional, and we greatly appreciated his fast response. Two thumbs up for Ronen! The best repair is the one you don't have to think much about afterward -- it looks great, the heater is efficient, and I have no worries about leaks or problems. We'll definitely use Cool Breeze again!

Tony came my house on time. He fixed the problem with my front outdoor faucet. Unfortunately, the rear out door faucet has same issue and i hope I can get the deal to fix it. Tony was very professional and nice.

I called to get an estimate for a replacement to my hot water heater. I wanted to see if I could have a tankless one. "Ron" the technician called saying he was 10 minutes away. That is 1 hour later than they said he would arrive. But we all know times are not always set in stone and I understand that. Once Ron realized that I live in a high rise it became quite obvious he did not want to even come out to talk to me. He said the venting is different and that the condo will not allow it. That could be true but he was very argumentative. He said I have to tell him that the condo approves alteration venting, even though I do not know what that alteration would be. I have 2 other contractors coming out for an estimate and they know I live in a condo and even said the venting could be an issue but are still coming any way to discuss my options. Ron gave me no options. Not a good way to represent your company....Horrible...In addition, I also mentioned to Ron I wanted to replace my air conditioner as well. He didn't seem interested.
