All of the outlets in one bedroom and 1/2 the outlets in another bedroom were not functioning. The electrician was able to diagnose and repair the problem within 1/2 hour. I was very impressed and would use this service again.

When we called to schedule our service a few weeks after purchasing a "big deal", CET did not have anything available for about two/three weeks, but once we agreed upon a time, they were prompt in showing up exactly as scheduled. They did a quality job in installing the lights and the ceiling fan. Our only complaint about the workmanship was related to multiple extra holes cut in the drywall, including in areas where they did not use the holes to access the electrical system. Our only other negative comment is related to about $125 in costs that was unanticipated due to part of the ceiling being plaster instead of drywall (despite not having any responsibility for patching or painting). While we agreed that the work they did was excellent, the professionalism in the follow-up afterwards was not. We had pre-paid the work (through an "Angie's big deal") plus an additional $200 on-site the day of installation. When we were not in a position to immediately pay the unanticipated $125 (which was not brought up by CET until the work was complete), instead of being willing to invoice us, CET called us daily for 5 days and physically sent staff to our house less than a week after completion of the work to collect the remaining $125 (when they had been paid $800 in October and $200 on the day of installation). We were fine with paying the additional unanticipated charge, but wanted more time to pay it and did not appreciate the harassment by CET employees when we were operating in good faith.

Dave, the electrician assigned to our job, arrived on time. He looked over the lights we were substituting (see earlier comments), confirmed compatibility and got to work. The work area was a hallway approx. 21' long. He measured the distance to ensure the lights were evenly spaced out. Cut out the requisite holes in the ceiling, ran the wiring, installed the housing units, popped on the baffles and inserted the halogen lights. Voila! A dark dreary passage was transform into a much brighter and more welcoming hallway. Note, the terms of the deal did not include drywall repair. Dave was so good, none was required. We'll need to paint, but that was the case before we set this job in motion. We appreciated CET's offer in that it allowed us to make a needed improvement in our home affordably. We can easily recommend their services, and will happily use them again.

Before he even started working, the technician made a comment hinting that 2 hours (prepaid) would not be enough time to complete the job. I felt the technician was moving very slowly and trying to milk the time to extend the job (at a rate of $45/half hour). I did not want to pay this so I ended up finishing the work on my own.

Excellent service. Quick and efficient. No mess left behind. Even supplied me with a switch that I neglected to buy. Would highly recommend.

They came on time, were polite and efficient, and were able to quickly and efficiently replace the light fixtures which provided significantly more light in my basement. They also took the time to answer all my questions.

I purchased two ceiling fan installations through angies list deals, but we had to renegotiate the price since we're dealing with old plaster walls in my house which makes things difficult and also required additional electrical equipment to buy. Rick was very professional despite the good discount I got. I don't remember the exact price but it was around $300, which I still consider a good deal because of the difficulties with my old house. Highly recommend.

I was very happy with the work that was performed. I was contacted almost immediately after purchasing the BIG DEAL and was able to get an appointment that suited my schedule and that was fairly soon after I called. The person I spoke with on the phone was helpful and professional. I received a confirmation postcard in the mail noting the date and time the work was to be performed. The day the technician came out, he called to let me know he was running a few minutes late, which I very much appreciated. When he arrived, he was professional and polite. He performed the work of cutting holes in the ceiling and installing recessed lighting. He had to cut a few more holes than I would have liked, but only because he had to work around joists and ductwork - no reflection on his service at all. He was very neat in his work and cleaned up any mess he made before leaving. I have white carpet so I was concerned about this, but he was thorough. I received a follow-up phone call from the office to make sure I was satisfied with the work ... and I was! I would use this company again.

Things went very well although there was an initial scheduling problem with their office. That was resolved but it's the reason that I couldn't give them an "A" rating on punctuality.

It went very well. We only needed some breakers replaced, and a small amount of wiring. The electrician was prompt, completed the work to a high standard, and the price was reasonable. We would use them again.

September 12, 8pm ? After searching on AL for electricians, decided to contact CET to inquire if they could help me out. I clicked on their webpage http://certifiedelec.com/ and there?s an option to talk to an agent, so I completed that form and within 15 minutes a gentleman (Rob) called me. Explained to him that I was interested in getting the $175 Lightning and Surge Protection deal because due to the recent storms, my dishwasher stopped working and I need someone to inspect the wiring before my insurance company would allow me to install a new dishwasher. Rob recommended the $175 deal and informed me that it would only take 5 min to look at the dishwasher?s wiring. September 13, 9pm ? Purchased the $175 Lightning and Surge Protection voucher. Sent the company an email to schedule an appointment. September 14, 10am ? Received a call from Steve informing me that their first availability would be November 6th. Informed them my situation and how essential it is for them to come to my home since my insurance company is waiting for the go-signal from the electrician before I can install a new dishwasher. Explained to him that I was highly disappointed that they did NOT disclose on their page that it would take SIX WEEKS to schedule an appointment for this voucher. He told me that someone can come to my home next week (Sept 20) for $125 but only to look at my dishwasher wiring and --not-- to use the voucher. If I wanted a refund for the $175, I would need to contact AL. I feel that if CET would offer these deals to their customers, they should disclose that the first availability for appointments would be after six weeks. I just think two months wait is too long and it was a hassle going through AL for a refund.

Very pleased with entire experience from setting appointment to completing the service. Efficient appointment setting; received card in mail confirming appointment; received phone call 30 minutes prior to arrival; arrived promptly; explained outlet problem and repair process. In and out in 30 minutes. Will defiinitely use again!

The company's representative called to say he would arrive at a certain time on a date that I requested. He was punctual and pleasant. He switched out a chandelier for a ceiling fan, with no trouble. He finished quickly, cleaned up after himself and would not take a tip. I was impressed and pleased

They installed a ceiling fan for us, after we found their coupon on Angie's List. They were punctual, professional, and the installation went smoothly. Ceiling fan still going strong after a year and a half. Recommend.

The technician came and immediately indicated that installing the recessed light fixture will take more than 2 hours. I asked him to proceed and he installed charging for three and half hours plus materials. In our family room, he proceeded to switch out the light switch but it did not work. I asked him to re-install the old one and he could not. A very poor job done. I have already sent in my review oin this work and do not understand why AngiesList would ask for it again.

While the work has not yet been performed, I will be hiring Certified Electrical Technologies to install recessed lights and a chandelier. So far the customer service has been excellent. The phones are answered promptly and my scheduled appointment was confirmed by a post card! The technician I spoke with on the phone about the work was patient in explaining what needed to be performed. The quotes provided were very reasonable compared to other contractors who provided quotes. I will update this review once the work is performed in January. So far, so good.

The gentleman was very good and gave some great advice. He was very open to me asking questions and doing other jobs around the house. Ironically about 5 minutes after he left we had an earthquake and I could see the fan swaying back and forth but it stayed in place! He came back later on to do something else and he checked the fans he already installed and made sure everything was fine.

The individual listend to what I had concerns over, and checked each request.

The recessed lamp was repaired in short order - I have a newer house, and it turns out, the lamp had been installed incorrectly. I was extremely satisfied with the work done, and found the electrician to be knowledgeable, competent and friendly. I would not hesitate to use this company again!

I purchased the $89 whole house electrical "audit" in December 2010 via Angie?s Big Deal. I called in April 2011 and scheduled an appointment for the following week. The audit took about 90 minutes. The technician was professional and very knowledgeable. More importantly, there was no sales pressure by the technician; he provided the service that I paid for and provided estimates for future work.
