This company who was represented by Rob. Rob, made me fee safe and feel that I could count on him to get the work I wanted done completed in a timely fashion - which he did. His office people showed care and concern by following up to be certain I was satisfied. Good company this one is!

Our appointment was made for 100-400 PM, but he called at 1040 AM and we agreed to an earlier time. He installed three light sconces and wired them appropriately, but the finishing work left something to be desired. One sconce was slightly crooked and my wife straightened it after he left, and there were wire pieces left on our deck. My wife also had to point out a part of one sconce that he had inadvertently left off. The calking was quickly applied and required some touch up after he left, hence our lower rating for quality.

After a couple of scheduling changes the tech showed up on the day I expected, but was running late. A telephone call in advance letting me know would have been appreciated. I understand that a previous job could run over, but a call to let me know would have let me decide if I could wait or reschedule. As it was, he was only 30 minutes late and did call to let me know when he was 15 minutes away. Once he was here he did an excellent job. He checked the outside and inside electrical panels. He also checked the fixtures I was concerned about and told me they were not a fire hazard, in fact they had temperature gauges that would shut the light off if they overheated. I did not know that, so it gave me a great deal of assurance that they were safe. He then changed some light bulbs for me in fixtures that were difficult for me to reach. He offered to change them, I did not have to ask. Upon leaving, he gave me an overview of my electrical system and told me to keep an eye on the main power line outside. He said the insulation was beginning to disintegrate and I should consider replacing it soon. He said it was a safety risk but not a fire hazard. When he gave me an estimate of $2200 I asked if it could wait 6 months so I could save for it. He said it could wait. I did not feel pressured to do additional work, and he was extremely professional to deal with. When it comes time for me to do the outside rewiring I will definitely call them to do it.

Electrician called 30 mins. before arriving, diagnosed problem, fixed it, check to see all switched and outlets on circuit operated properly. I had purchased a "deal" on Angie's for a discounted service performed at the same time as another service, but since I only had one service I needed, CET applied to purchase price of the deal to my bill.

They changed one motion sensor and one light. A job quickly done. Honesty and accountability are what I like about CET.

I contacted the service provider approximately a week before the expiration date of the offer which was to provide 2 hours of electrical work for $125.00. When I contacted the company I was told that the $125.00 would only cover the cost of an estimate and not electrical work. When I voiced my displeasure, I was told that the owner would get back to me. I waited for a couple of days before calling back. I wanted this resolved before the offer ran out. Again, I was promised a call back which I never received. Once I posted my review, I was contacted by the owner of the company who offered an apology and preceeded to answer my questions and provide a quote for the work I described. I appreciate the Owner's attempts at resolving the situation; however, I have decided not to proceed with the electrical work at this time.

I used CET in 2012 and now again in 2013. They are excellent. I used the online chat feature on their website to schedule an appointment. I had a few questions and they helped answer all of those questions first via chat, and then via email, and the responses were very prompt. On the day of the installation, I received a call when they were on the way to my house. Once here, Dave was excellent. He asked and then explained where the lights would be installed. And then he got to work for about 3.5 to 4 hours. The quality of work was excellent. In the 1.5 years of home ownership, I have struggled to find the right vendors, vendors I can trust. With CET, I have found a great company for all my electrical work. They do a thorough job and are honest. I would use them again confidently for electrical work at my house.

He was very thorough, did some extra work for me on an outlet and I would use him again.

Dale showed up promptly and was extremely professional and easy to work with. It quickly became clear that what they originally thought was going to be a simple fix (replacing some switches) was more complicated (faulty wiring). Each fix led to another problem but Dale seemed to be very experienced and had no problem handling the challenges of the old wiring system in our home. We were particularly glad that he was committed to finding creative solutions that would not involve ripping out any walls or making any holes. He ended up staying in our home for 5 hours until the problems were all solved, but only charged me for 3 hours since the problems seemed to multiply with each fix. One week later everything is working great. I would absolutely recommend this company and in fact am planning to more them for a much larger job in the next few weeks.

Needed a new hallway light fixture installed. Was concerned about doing the project myself given lots of extra capped wires in current fixture and the fact that the box was very loose and I couldn't find a way to tighten that without having to cut into the ceiling. Wanted to call in a real electrician, not just a handyman. Found CE on Angie's list, called them and explained the problem and they said they couldn't imagine it taking more than 1 to 1.5 hours, probably less time. They quoted me their per-hourly, then-after per-half-hour rate and scheduled for the next day. Allen, the technician, arrived on time, determined he could stabilize the junction box with a few clips and then installed the light fixture. He said the other capped wires were for other fixtures feeding off that box, so no trouble there. Since I had time left on the original $135 hour, he was able to work on/secure another wonky ceiling fan and check that another ceiling fan was secure -- all projects installed by the previous homeowner, who prided himself on his ability to "fix" things himself. Unfortunately, I've had to have several of his"fixes" repaired since purchasing the home six years ago. You do pay by the hour with CE, and not by the job. That's always a balancing act as no one is sure which billing option will be cheaper. But if you have several electrical jobs to be done or a simple project to be done, I'd recommend the hourly rate vs. per project as CE is very efficient. Another handyman service had said they'd charge me at least $150 or more to do the same job and they might have needed to cut into the ceiling which would have cost more for that work and then the repair. So that's why I always trust certified electrical companies for electrical work. All in all, a great experience. I would use CE again and have already recommended to some VA and MD friends that they do the same since they have electrical projects that must get done.

I was very pleased with the service provided. It was fast and efficient. The service technician was attentive and answered all of my questions to my satisfaction. I would most certainly consider hiring Certified Electrical Technologies in the future. Triple A quality service. Couldn't ask for any better.

This is how great service is accomplished. This provider called, gave me an estimated time of arrival, and arrived within that time. He listened to me, asked questions and walked the house inside and out before he started, so when he began he knew what was to be accomplished. He was polite, professional and friendly! I would absolutely call this company again and would trust them explicitly. The work was completed and done right. I am very happy with this provider and felt the cost was very fair. I asked for an was given an estimate on future work that was also fair and reasonable. Great job!

The responded to my initial request quickly. Had workers out the next day. There was a little mix up in how much work needed to be done and the timing but they re-organized their schedules an knocked out the work on a tight deadline. Very positive experience.

Chuck was outstanding. He called 30 min ahead of time and arrived right on time. He worked diligently to replace the outdated lights that were installed poorly with our new light fixtures. Our new fixtures were a bit time consuming, but he diligently worked at it and they now look perfect! He also re-routed a light switch that was turning off our TV! A heavy-up is in our future and we will definitely be calling CET and Chuck in our future.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that we purchased. It was fine. It went well. There were no additional charges. Our wish list was too much for the number of hours but they did the primary things we wanted. We had them do what they could do in the 2 hours. We didn't check out the price. They showed up on time. There were 2 people that came and they seemed fine. We have used them since then.

This was a very simple job. The company was very professional in all the steps and arrived punctually to do the job. The electrician was courteous and did his job very promptly and efficiently. He was very knowledgeable. In terms of service it was perfect. In terms of price, I am not sure I got the best deal. They charged some 85 additional dollars because they had to move some of the breakers around to do the install and it was done so fast that I am not sure if there should have been an additional cost not to mention the 85 additional dollars I ended up paying in addition to what I paid on Angieslist. Given the low cost of the job that needed to be done, I did not invest too much time searching competing providers beyond looking up their name on Angieslist as top rated and seeing that they had a deal on what I needed. They did a good job and I will consult them again if I need to do anything else electric but carefully checking with other providers to make sure that the price is right.

I called late in the morning to schedule after initially contacting the company a few days earlier. I spoke with Mr. Gary Epstein on both occasions, who was friendly, knowledgable, and professional. We needed to replace a "vintage" outdoors-style sub panel that was missing the inside deadfront cover, and was not wired properly. We also needed to replace the outlet located directly below the sub panel with a new GFI outlet. Gary not only gave us an estimate, but when I mentioned my reluctance to schedule out of concern that the job might become much more complicated once the technician was able to see it, he asked me to send pictures if I could. I sent him pictures and after looking carefully at them, and asking some more questions, he was convinced that the sub panel replacement would be straightforward. As it happened, he had a technician in my neighborhood that very day and he was able to fit me into his schedule. Mr. Dave Petry arrived a little over an hour after my call to CET and assessed the job. After looking at what needed to be done, he got to work right away. He finished the job in about 1.5 hours, and the final bill was actually less than the price estimate over the phone. Dave was fast, obviously expert, professional, courteous and friendly. The work was meticulously performed. So far, everything is working fine, and best of all it's all up code and safe. I will definitely call CET again for electrical work if needed.

Excellent. David was on time, informed about the job, had all the right equipment, and knew his stuff. Professional, pleasant, efficient and timely across the board. Offered information about potential electrical needs in the future. Will definitely be calling on Certified when additional work is needed.

I had a Federal Pacific circuit breaker and it started tripping when I had any of the kitchen lights on as well as the oven. I got a time frame of between 8-10 for their arrival. Dale not only was early but he called me while on his way. My 89 year old father was at the kitchen table and I was going to light candles so reading his paper would be easier but Dale provided a Coleman Lantern instead. He needed to enlarge the space a tad for the new breaker which was fine . He turned the power back on (off for a total of 6 hours), cleaned up after himself and the charge was exactly what I was quoted. I didn't know how much I had missed cooking with the lights until I was able to do it again.

They advised me of possible road-blocks in the process, but were able to complete the attachment without difficulty or any issues. They arrived on time and completed the job without hesitation. The technician was very professional and easy to work with. I appreciate the job they performed and I would definitely call them back for any electrical needs.

Great! The technician was friendly, prompt, and careful. There was even a slight issue with the construction of one of the new fixtures and he engineered a solution to ensure that it would hang flush to the ceiling.

The service tech installed ran wire the ceiling and installed fan. Could not be happier and cooler.

I was contacted the day after I bought the promotion ($90 value for $45) by Gary who was very polite and helpful in determining what I might need for an onsite visit. I was able to arrange an appointment a few days after that. Dale was the technician who cam to my house. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions, and even showed me how to replace an outlet in case I want to save some money in the future and try to do some myself. After seeing his level of work, I will probably have him come back to do the work. Overall, extremely satisfied!

Two technicians came in time and they waited for us to pick up a downrod from Lowes (part need to be purchased separately). They did a good job generally, except a few parts were left in the box. Not sure those are unnecessary or being forgotten.
