I was very happy with the results. Certified sent Dale, who lives in a nearby community. He worked quickly and I was so happy with the cost and great work that I started a list of upgrades I plan to have them do for me.

The big deal was that our outdoor lamp was not turning on at sunset. I had replaced the sensor and made other attempts to fix it, to no avail. Certified got it working again.

Had trouble turning a stairway light, connected by a three way switch, on and off. Called Certified and the person who answered the phone asked pertinent questions about the problem. He informed me that it was probably just a faulty switch. He scheduled the appointment for the next work day. The electrician arrived within the given time window. He was pleasant, fixed the switch and worked quickly. I was pleased with the work. I was, however, disturbed by the request for a credit card to hold the appointment. I've never had to give my credit card number to hold an appointment with an electrician. I've used two other electricians. I gave Certified an A overall because the work was done well, but the credit card requirement didn't make me happy.

Replaced outlets and circuit breaker, wiring.

Prompt reply to initial call and quick response to servicing-- within 24 hrs. Technician was on time and overcame challenges of light design to replace ballast! The fee charged was very reasonable!! I will not hesitate to use them again!!

My heat and lights went out on Friday 12/13/13, I had to stay in a hotel that night, The next day I checked on Angie's list and got the phone number of Certified, I called them around 8:00am and explained the problem I was having, they came to my home around noon that same day. The heat and lights were back on less than 20 min. The Tech. told me what the problem was and that I needed a new circuit breaker switch and that they would have to order the part, which they did. I received a call today (12-20-13) and they sch. an appointment to come to my home to replace the switch on 12/24/13. I'm glad to know what the actual problem was and it could be fixed. The Tech explained to me step by step what was happening, I appreciate it very much. Thank you Certified.

These guys are fantastic. Was a little skeptical because estimate was way below the competition but they did amazing work -- very tidy, too -- left no messes -- were on time, communicated well, very friendly and professional... and the work came in under the estimate they provided. GREAT!

Very well. Technician (David) was great. Quick but took care. Months later, everything still works perfectly. Gave good advice on a wiring question I asked. A pleasant guy to have in the apartment while he's doing his work. Scheduling and follow-up were great and very professional.

I purchased a home electrical inspection deal, and it was performed. There were a few other electrical issues that needed to be resolved as well, and Chuck (the electrician) diagnosed and remedied them (hence the $90 charge). I recently purchased my home, which was formerly owned by deaf residents. They installed three flasher lights throughout the house that were activated by the doorbell and phone; when either of these were activated the lights would flash and alert the residents. I had the lights removed when I moved in, and a few weeks later I blew a circuit for some unknown reason. Long story short, Chuck discovered that the residents had run most of the house's wiring off the flasher lights' wiring, and that the doorbell was causing the circuit to trip. He disconnected the doorbell, and the circuit is no longer being tripped. This saved me a considerable sum of money, for I would have had to otherwise open up my walls to resolve the problem.

I called the Fairfax number and the gentleman seemed generally uninterested in my business first telling me they don't come out to do estimates and then explaining how difficult it is to troubleshoot electrical problems. Other companies I called seemed much more informative and understanding of the problem. I took my business elsewhere.

I wanted an outlet installed in a large second floor closet, and I wanted four carriage lights replaced (two at the front door and two at the garage.) The electrician first checked out the closet by going into the attic through an access hatch in the closet. He reported that it would be too hard to drop a line down from the attic to the location where I wanted the outlet. I later had another electrician do it relatively easily. | |The work on replacing the carriage lights (which I provided) was very slow. He only finished three of the four lights in the allotted time. He advised me that if I wanted the fourth one installed it would be at their regular hourly rate (which I believe was $125 per hr). I declined and installed it myself in about twenty minutes.

Dave called well in advance to let me know when to expect him. He was on time, courteous and professional. My job wasn't difficult, but could have been very time-consuming. As an experienced electrician, Dave knows how to work carefully but quickly. He finished the job much sooner than I expected. Altogether satisfied with the experience. Ask for Dave!

Technician arrived at the earlier part of the window and went right to work with speed and efficiency. He was polite, explained problems and gave advice as needed. This service was purchased as part of an Angie's List Big Deal but I had a lot more work done than the deal allowed and was charged accordingly.

They were very good. The price was right on. I was very pleased with the service. The price was very fair. They cleaned up and did a good job. The punctuality was good and everything worked out well. I have no complaints.

Technician was very professional and offered great advice. He checked three switch plates in a bathroom, and discovered that wires were slowly fraying and would eventually start a fire. All three switch plates were changed and light fixture is in working order. We have employed CET half a dozen times over the past three years for a variety of jobs, and every single time we were pleased with the excellent results. We have recommended CET to a number of friends and they have reported their positive comments as well.

Everything went well. It was a quick and easy call. The electrician (Gary) provided excellent service.

CET has provided services to us in the past and they have always been very professional, courtesy, responsive and punctual. Ditto this time as well. We didn't have any major work done this time but we will continue to use them in the future.

I bought a Big Deal for an Electrical Inspection. I put a contract on a house and had Certified Electrical Technologies come out to do a separate inspection. The tech looked over everything and gave me the thumbs up that everything was up to code. I wanted to be sure that the electrical was done professionally and was up to code since the electrical panel was brand new. He also mentioned that they did a good job. I also inquired about installing additional recessed lighting for the future and he informed me that they usually have Big Deals for that and one should be coming shortly. I would use them again.

Our technician was punctual, polite and very neat. I was amazed to find not only the job done so well but so efficiently. The area around the work was left clean and the very little disturbed around the work. The hole used was minuscule to what I was expecting and certainly smaller than what my husband would have done (hee hee). I am so glad we went with this company. They will be coming back in a couple weeks to install under cabinet lighting and replace other lights in our home. I am very happy with the and I highly recommend!

The electrician called in advance and showed up during the appointment window. I thought the inspection was very thorough and the electrician pointed out a few aspects of my house's wiring that could be improved to increase safety or reliability. I didn't feel any pressure or scare-tactics; I found the whole experience very educational. The electrician was clear about what deficiencies I could fix myself (I'm comfortable with re-wiring an electrical socket). I wish all of my interactions with contractors were this professional. The electrician's demeanor and knowledge during this inspection earned my trust.... I eventually hired this company to handle a few jobs I didn't have the time or expertise to do myself. My only regret is not getting this inspection done during my home inspection before I bought the house!

Rob was very punctual and performed the inspection with attention to detail. He asked if we had any other concerns and replaced two outlets when we indicated one of them was loose and would not hold a plug. Though the replacements were not part of the Angies List Big Deal we had purchased, he did not charge for this service. We will definitely call on CET anytime we need electrical service
