My first call to the service line was handled efficiently and they ran me through some troubleshooting steps that I could perform to either solve the problem or narrow down the cause in hopes of eliminating the need for the service visit or to reduce the time the electrician would be at our house. Very useful information and we did what they said which did not solve the problem. I called back the next day and they quickly made the appointment - had an electrician there that day, on time and with a 30 min warning call. The electrician - Allen, immediately found the cause which was water leaking into the service panel . He resolved the issue in less than an hour and the fast response saved us from a bigger problem for sure. Allen was very courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient and went outside to caulk the connection area that was causing the leak. Highly recommend this company for all your electrical work

On a VERY cold night my power went out. An electrician (Rob) came out right away. The main circuit needed replacing and the part had to be ordered. Rather than making me wait in the cold, the manager (Gary) arranged to get a temp. part installed the following day. They went out of their way not only to fix this, but also complete other electrical repairs I'd been putting off. I highly recommend this company.

Terrific. Electrician called when he was on his way, showed up on time with a reasonable 2-hour time window, and did all the work in 1 hour. $95 price was amazing.

On time , diagnosed issues quickly, repaired issues quickly and was very knowledgeable. He diagnosed a problem with an outdated fuse box, and also repaired/replaced several overhead lighting. My appointment was scheduled quickly however the gentleman who schedules appointments would not honor the Angie's List discount since the service performed had to be done in 2 appointments, one on a Friday and the 2nd the following Monday. He stated that 200.00 worth of work needed to be done on a single appointment in order to qualify for Angie's List discount. Overall very satisfied.

In short, good work but fumbled on billing. Gary was the most responsive electrician during the holiday season. He sent out Alan for a three part project. Alan did excellent work. On the final day of work, I presented our Angie's list coupon for 10% off up to $100. We were happy to get $100 off of the charges. A few days later, billing contacted us about $80 worth of materials mistakenly left off the final bill. Rather than asking for permission to change the amount of the credit card authorization, they just called me to give us notice that they made a mistake and were going to add it to the credit card authorization. The billing just did not sit well with us.

One of my old smoke detectors started to beep sporadically at different times for no apparent reason. CET gave me an estimate over the phone, followed up by email and arrived the next morning to replace all three detectors which was my intention. My SD's had outlived their average working life by several years and the safest course of action was to replace all three. CET installed three new hard wired SD's for slightly lower than the estimate they gave me over the phone and subsequently confirmed by email. This is the third time I have used CET (also replaced light fixtures and a malfunctioning circuit breaker the other two) and I have been impressed by their honesty, professionalism, punctuality, and effectiveness in fixing my electrical problems. They have always been either right on the informal estimate or, in this case, performed the work for about $40 lower than the estimate. They also work quickly which I also consider a positive reason for using them. Smoke detectors have a average life span (which I learned from several sources, look it up on the Internet) and mine were way beyond the estimated life span numbers. I unqualifiedly recommend CET and I would use them again.

Because Steve helped me solve my electrical problem over the phone, he didn't need to come out & actually do a service. But I was so impressed that he helped me over the phone instead of stiffing me with a bill for a simple problem, that I wanted to pass on a good word. When was the last time a professional helped a consumer for free?! I'll use them in the future.

Eric arrived and it took only 20 minutes to install the surge protector and he showed me how to use it. Trouble shooting the baseboard heater electrical fault took longer, and a discussion about the options - repair an existing electrical socket or install a new one - took about ten minutes. Total time was probably about an hour and a half. Heater now works perfectly. No mess.

Unfortunately, we wanted the service for a new home we just purchased and I forgot to say that in my emails. I'd like to point out that the provider did not confirm the address with me either. When the provider arrived, we were at the new house and he came to the old house 15 minutes away. When he called, we had to direct him to the new house. The technician came to the home and performed the check. he answered our questions and completed the basic check of all outlets in the home. On site, the technician told my wife that everything looked good. We didn't have anything to worry about in the new house. Most of the outlets in the shed didn't work and that was no problem because we don't plan to use those outlets. The technician even answered my questions over the speaker on the cell phone. He seemed polite and we were happy with the service. The problem came for me when I recieved this follow up email. I found it terse and didn't appreciate it. They arrived on time and completed the work quickly and efficiently.

Chuck was incredibly professional and friendly, explained everything he was doing and gave great tips on improving our home in the future. He was working for 5 hours straight but was very cheerful and did a thorough job throughout. We had purchased supplies in advance and he was fine using them to help us with saving some on costs.

I can only give the highest marks for all categories. Eric did a great job. I would highly recommend CES and use them again for any electrical work in the future.

We used them through a big deal on Angie's List. They did a fine job. The surge protector device is still working; it's fine.

We were very pleased with the man that came out and whatever my husband had him do. He came when he said he would be here. He did the work my husband wanted him to do. We thought the price was very reasonable. It's approximately what everybody charges per hour. We would call him again. Generally, we're very satisfied.

Service was excellent. I would recommend CET to others.

I will definitely use Certified Electrical Technologies again. Alan, the technician, was friendly, efficient, thorough and patiently answered all of my questions. I am very pleased with the work performed and highly recommend CET!

Certified Electric did exceptional work. and I would highly recommend them for several reasons: First, they were responsive and easy to schedule with to make an appointment via email. I appreciate that they do appointments via email as it speeds the process. Second, we ordered this service for an elderly, shut-in widow who has very little means and was in danger of having probably a fire in her house (as we found out during the service repair of several plugs). Dale the technician was very friendly and courteous to her despite the poor circumstances for a worker (the house undoubtedly smells). According to her, he even put in a little extra work that he didn't charge her for (to help a poor person we assume perhaps just to be nice). Regardless of the reason, I really appreciate this compassion, which is rare in today's dog eat dog competitive world and it should be noted here. Third, the level of work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. In fact, they were the cheapest that I could find. I also used them for a home safety inspection for the same woman and they were the cheapest to do that as well. The home safety inspection was done well too. So they have consistent work quality across different workers. Fourth, they were very knowledgeable about what needed to be done. They didn't offer me any unnecessary services. I like this to the point style of doing things. For all of these reasons, I look forward to using them and I am going to schedule another service at the same house (namely to bond the electrical panel). I will write another review when that is done. Definitely hire these guys.

They finished the work in 2 days and for less than $1,500. This was my first time hring them and they were great!

Their response was fine when I went to schedule the appointment. One technician came out to do the work and he took the full two hours to do everything. The job I wanted done they could not do as I wanted it, however.

Appointment was set for between noon and 4PM. I received a call from the electrician at 11:45AM saying he would be there at noon. He arrived right on time and quickly replaced the fan and motor. He was polite, professional and friendly. I was very satisfied with the work performed and with the on time arrival. I have been a longtime customer of Certified and have always been happy with their work, I highly recommend them.

Installed whole house surge protector.

CET was very professional and scheduled an appointment with my tenant. They followed up with the tenant to coordinate and find a day/time that worked for her. CET sent an email notice when the appointment was scheduled. I also received a detailed invoice via email the day after the job was completed. Two weeks later I received a follow-up call from CET asking if the service was performed to my satisfaction and expectations. Overall, a great experience and very professional interactions. Lastly, I called CET today because a circuit in my kitchen had tripped. I could not figure out how to reset it. When I called, Gary at CET, who answer the phone, walked me through the steps to check if one of the GFCI switches had tripped; and walked me through the steps of testing if it had just tripped or malfunctioned. Turned out the GFCI had tripped and Gary explained how to reset it! So again, great service over the phone and saved me cost of a service call. Any other contractor would have not even bothered to ask details about what was wrong and I doubt would have made an attempt to solve it over the phone. I am very happy and plan to use CET again.

I got the same guy that did the previous job and I was very comfortable. They did an amazing job. I had a special on the service. I was very pleased with the work he did in an hour.

It turned out very well. It's the first time I've used them. The gentleman who came out was thorough and clean. He cleaned up after himself. He did a good job.

Technician was prompt, completed the work quickly. Professional and courteous.
