This is my third job using CET and I don't intend to use any other contractor in the future. I have no reason to vet another electrical contractor. Jesse has been my go-to guy. His work is professionally executed and has exceeded my expectations every time. All three jobs; installing a 240v 70A sub-panel with a 6-50R outlet for a welder and eight 120v 20A outlets for bench tools; installing a 7500w garage heater, and this job, for more tools, was done perfectly. I provided what I needed done and he reviewed my ideas and made professional recommendations where appropriate (and sometimes necessary) with some changes adding costs and some reducing them. After each installation, he and I walked through the job and went through all the do's, don'ts, and "be careful to not do this" checklist. I'm already planning my next expansion.

Gary was very responsive and quick to respond to emails. However, he seemed demeaning and a little rude in his emails. While he did see pictures, he never visited the potential worksite. He also quoted almost $1000.00 more than other electricians. Given everything, it seemed like he didn't want the job and did everything not to get the job rather than just saying he either didn't service the area or didn't have the resources available.

An exceptional job by Certified Electrical Technologies - and specifically Andrew - with the electrical Work completed at my house today. Prompt, professional, efficient, he completed to work quickly and effectively. We could not be more pleased with the service he provided. I also want to note how reasonably priced the service was. I will definitely be working with CET for my electrical needs again in the future. It was an A++ experience. Thank you!

Talked to a "Gary" to get an estimate. When he found out the job would entail cutting holes in the plywood ceiling to install the recessed cans (duh!), he said "that's a carpenter's job because they'd be cutting wood, and THAT's what a carpenter does". I told him that, of the other estimates I'd already received, none of them made any mention of needing to also employ a carpenter, too. "Oh, so you have other estimates? Well, you should go with one of them...we'll have to decline." He was VERY condescending and borderline rude. Glad CET declined the work - I would have kicked myself for bringing that kind of attitude into my house, if he's representative of the organization as a whole.

Tech arrived on time, perform the work in an accurate and timely fashion. Very happy with the work done.

Perfectly as expected. A bit expensive, but I knew that this was their minimum charge in advance, and agreed to it when I made the appointment.

Alan came to repair the lamppost. He remembered when he came previously, that I was having the house pressure-washed. He checked outside outlets, & they weren't working either. He said the pressure-washed guy must have blown water into the outlets. He checked the main outlet in our garage and reset all & I paid $130 service fee.The lamppost came on, but only for a month or two. It stopped working again recently & he returned.He checked the same outlets & reset the outlet in the garage, saying the recent rain shorted the outlets again.So he shot a small bead of acrylic around the outlets to avoid more problems.The lamppost was relit and I was charged another service fee $130. I didn't feel this was fair since I ended up paying $260 for the two calls. The manager explained that there could be multiple items wrong with the lamppost and underground wiring and if there continued to be problems, they would continue to charge for each time per visit.He said their investigative techniques have them look for the most obvious cause, which they fix it & if it works, they go.I told him that after several visits I could buy a new lamppost. He agreed and said that's how it's done. While I enjoyed working with Alan, I will not make another call for this lamppost. It's easier to simply turn on the garage lights.

It went great, no issues with the install. Pendant works wonderful, he even added a dimmer switch for me. Alan was professional & thorough. He worked keeping the entire area clean.

Install new outdoor light fixtures

The company was reapinsive and the electrician was excellent. The cost was kind of high but was exactly as quoted to me on the phone.

I was able to make a reservation via their website using email (very responsive) - technician showed up on time and started work immediately. The project took almost no time. Took payment via electronically via CC. He was in and out within 30 minutes. Have used them before and, as always, will use them again.

Repaired with ease and offered advice on managing power. Discarded offending parts and appliance for me.

Jesse was great. He was prompt, professional and patient with our questions. He also gave good advice about how to deal with future issues of this type.

Andrew is a true professional and had our old lights taken down and new lights installed very quickly. I highly recommend working with him if you have the opportunity to do so. The receptionist for this company was so pleasant and helpful when I first inquired about cost and availability. Her demeanor started the whole process off on a positive note.

CET is very responsive in communications. Very professional work. Good price too.

Setting up the heavy up was easy, and the technicians arrived on time and completed the job as scheduled with no surprises. We paid in full. Problem came after, when the electrical work failed inspection. The inspector said that the electrical work was not complete. We contacted CET to advise of the fail, and they said that they were not aware of the updated electrical code. They are scheduled to come out again a week later, and schedule another inspection shortly thereafter. CET gets a poor mark for not being aware of code, and as a result of the failed inspection we have to take more time off of work so they can complete the job. They have been professional and responsive, however follow through remains TBD. Not sure if we will use them again...will depend on how they follow through to a successful inspection. We will update this review pending that. UPDATE: This is an updated review to my prior C rating. CET came back out and completed the work and we passed inspection. I am still giving them less than excellent marks. Despite their comments in response to my prior reviews—and their emails arguing why I should not have given them a less than stellar review—they FAILED the initial inspection and I have a big red sticker from Montgomery County Department of Permitting Services stating so; I now have a big green sticker that I passed. The failure was not due to quality of work (so they get an A there) but because they did not complete the work. I would not use them again, however. Instead of simply admitting their error or oversight or lack of knowledge of a code change and fixing their code violation, they argued with us and essentially told us we should be grateful that they came out to fix the work at no extra charge...they stated in an email that they did not fail inspection, rather did not meet a new PEPCO standard—again, false as it was the county inspector that failed them...PEPCO is a privately held company. This was major electrical work, so a customer’s expectation that they meet county code should be universal. Instead of telling us to be grateful, they should have demonstrated some humility and not treated their customers like children.

The electrician arrived on time. He called first to alert us as to his arrival time. He worked methodically through the three areas. He was personable and professional. He made some excellent suggestions and was also open to ours. We are very satisfied with the quality of the work that was done. I would highly recommend this company and would definitely call them again.

CET did a great job. They evaluated the situation and performed the work in the same day at a reasonable price. Many thanks to the technician, Rob, for providing excellent service once again.

The electrician quickly problem solved the issue. The waterfall pump connection to the electric cord malfunctioned. I just need to order the part and hook it back up and the waterfall will function. The indoor switch had some loose connections which he fixed.

Excellent work! The technician was timely and courteous. He was speedy too. I got an Angie's list coupon and for $350, he drilled a new hole in my ceiling, installed the necessary electrical box, attached the wires, installed the fan, and connected it to the light switch. He cleaned up afterwards too. Couldn't ask for anything more.

It was amazing! When Alan was measuring to find the center point of the ceiling, he cautioned me that I would be responsible for refinishing the ceiling. I anticipated several holes made in the process. When I looked in later, the fixture had been installed in the center of the ceiling and the ceiling was in perfect condition. Alan had found a way to access the space above the ceiling and the wiring through the removable ceiling tiles in the bathroom across the hallway. A job well-done! I couldn't have asked for anything better.

Excellent! Gary made it easy to schedule the appt. Rob was excellent and professional, as always! This is a terrific company!

The job when well. Rob was our electrician. We have worked with him in the past. He was professional and let us know what was needed to install the fans. Three of the fans were being installed where nothing was installed in the past. Thus, Rob had to fish wires through the drywall. He did a great job. I can't say enough. I would definitely use CET again.
