All went fine. I thought I needed a new a whole new light fixture...but turned out to just be the dimmer switch which saved me some money. Also Phil was able to fix two electrical outlets that were loose.

Excellent, I received a call from Rob to inform me that he would arrive in about 20 mins. He arrived within the 20 mins, we talked for a few minutes to better access what I was looking for. He made a great recommendation and low and behold about 2 hrs later my ceiling fan was up an running. Rob was very professional and did and outstanding job! Because of my experience with Rob and his company's fair pricing I would definitely use and recommend this company for future work.

It didn't go as I expected but it certainly was not the technician's fault. On the contrary, his analysis of a used fan I purchased through Ebay found the fan to be faulty...missing an important part that, without it, would cause use of the fan to be noisy. It took time to detach the existing light; go through the parts of the replacement fan; explain the issue; get my approval to "bag it" and then, connect the light back. Through it all, Eric was methodical, informative and patient. Lessons learn? In future, purchase "new" merchandise and hire these guys back again.

I would recommend Certified Electrical to any homeowner with electrical needs, whether large or small. The process was much easier than I thought it would be from start to finish. Gary was always quick to respond to my questions and concerns via phone and email. Josh and Alan did an excellent job on the work - in less than one full day, they completed the removal of our old fuse box, installed a 200a circuit breaker panel, replaced about 15 of our old two prong outlets with three prong ones (we purchased the outlets to save on materials cost, and they were fine with that), and several other smaller projects like covering a wire and replacing a light switch. CET also arranged the inspection with Fairfax County as well as the follow up visit Dominion Power. The county inspector even commented how precise and professional the work was. The total price was reasonable - not cheap - but for such a significant project, you don't want to go with the cheapest possible option. We feel that we got our money's worth on this one. Overall, we are happy with the service and value.

It was a deal, so the price was good. They gave me ideas on what to do and things I didn't need to do, so that was good. I am actually thinking of calling them because I need more electrical work done.

I couldn't be happier with Certified Electric! I think the electrician's name was Allen. He was polite and punctual. He went back out to the truck after visually inspecting the problem and returned with two of the mounting posts we needed to repair the light. Apparently he keeps spare parts from other jobs instead of discarding them. I was expecting to pay to have this 3 year old lighting fixture replaced with another similar light I just purchased from the Home Despot. But he resurrected this light with these clutch spare parts. He also reattached the smoke detector I ripped out of the ceiling out of frustration the night I made the best steak ever.
