Described what was wrong with a different ceiling fan switch, and described the replacement switch, that I will buy, and he will come back and fix. This tech was SO GOOD, Any electric work, I will call to have him come back and do the repair/installation.

Description of Work: Alan came on time. He listened to what I wanted so as to use the time I purchased from Angie's List efficiently. He re-installed my crystal chandelier, replaced my dimmer lights and checked most of my outlets. Time ran out but he did give me suggestions on what needs to be done if I so choose to fix. Alan was professional and would use this company again.

Description of Work: After we moved in to our new house we found a number of electrical issues. Certified Electrical's Electrician did a great job finding and solving all issues.

Description of Work: I used them based on the positive feedback from clients in Angie's List. I was not disappointed. The office was very prompt and professional in scheduling the appointment. I described the work I had in mind and they advised me on what equipment/parts I should buy beforehand, which I did. On the appointed day, the technician called in ahead to let me know when he would arrive (he was very punctual!). He set to work immediately upon arrival, and did a great job: (i) replaced 2 defective motion sensor lights and inspected/adjusted a third; (ii) repaired a defective electrical outlet; (iii) repaired a defective lampholder; (iv) replaced an outside door lamp; (v) repaired a defective doorbell. He was very knowledgeable and explained to me exactly what he was doing and why. I would definitely use them again - it's not often that one sees such professional technicians who do not mind patiently explaining, to non-experts like me, what needs to be done and why, in simple and non-technical language.

Description of Work: I bought a coupon for electrical work on Angie's list to diagnose a problem with two lights that weren't working and install two new fixtures. Company was great when I called and scheduled technician to come out soon. I couldn't be there at the last minute and the great technician, Rick, wanted to make sure I would be happy with the placement of the new bedside reading swing arm lamps and had my husband lie in the bed and discussed the various height possibilities. They are perfect ! and the company agreed to come out shortly with a part to fix the light that he said was a fire hazard. They did all the work for the price of the coupon. I was so happy. This will be my go- to electrician and it made Angie's list worthwhile for me. Oops- here is answer to first question - install two new lights and diagnose problem with two non-working lights.

Description of Work: We have only good things to say about our experience with this company. The electrician arrived on time, polite, knowledgeable, well mannered, fast, What can be said about him finding the source of our electric outage almost immediately and had it repaired in minutes. We were so afraid there was a short in the wall and would take a lot of work so were very relieved. While he was here he also did several other smaller jobs. We will definitely call them again .

Description of Work: I responded to a Big Deal for $75 installation for a ceiling fan. All in all it turned out to be $200 total but that included wiring and mounting the ceiling fan--still a great deal. Scheduling was easy, done on line, and the technician was right on time. Dave installed our fan, he was great. Very courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and informative. He made some recommendations about making the fan easier to use. He did a great job and made sure that everything was in order before leaving.

Description of Work: I purchased a full house Surge Supressor from Certified Electrical Technoligies in response to an Angie's List Big Deal promotion. The response from CET was totally professional. Early contact to first determine if the surge supressor would fit my electrical panel configuration. Exchange of electrical panel manufacturer, model and e-photos confirmed all was good. Alan Moore called 25 minutes before the scheduled arrival time to confirm. He arrived on time and ready to work. Immediately i was confident that he was a professional who knew what he was doing. He completed the work to my satisfaction. I am completely satisfied with CET and with Alan Moore.

Description of Work: We experienced tripping of circuit breakers when wife used curing iron. Electrician traced and checked the entire circuit that extended even to water fountain outside house. The cirfcuit breaker has not tripped again after over a year. My wife was most impressed with electricians courtesy, demeanor, and professionalism. She now insists that only Certified will service us in the future. Cerified may be slightly more expensive but well worth the cost. We heartily recommend.

Description of Work: some of the lights and outlets in our house mysteriously stopped working. we e-mailed the company and the rep. called us in seconds! We scheduled an appointment for the next day. As the electrician was arriving promptly at the appointed time the next day, the power company trucks pulled up in front of our house and we learned that the problem we were having was due to a problem with the power line at the pole. The electrician from The company, Danny, talked to the power company workers, explained the situation to us and told us we didn't need his services after all. The company did not charge us for the service call. We were very pleased with the company's prompt response when we called. We also appreciated the explanation of the problem we got from Danny who arrived promptly for the appointment.

Description of Work: I had a 240 circuit put into my breaker box and an outlet for same installed on the wall of my screened in porch. They had to run the romex up thru a kit. base cabinet and thru the wall into the porch. They did a super job and were notable for a couple of other things they did right: first, the owner of the company himself, Gary Epstein, came to my house for the estimate and did a good job telling me my options and costs. Unlike most of the other companies I've dealt with, they did the job on time and materials, which is what I was looking for because I was able to buy the romex wire and run it from the box thru the basement to where it would go up into the kitchen myself. I saved some good money doing that believe me. The fella who came to do the job a few days later did a great job and clearly knew what he was doing. The price was what I wanted to pay for the job too, so I was very satisfied overall. I highly recommend you get an est from these guys before any electrical work.
