Castro Electrical Services

This is an update on my review that I gave before the county inspection. Upon inspection they found that the electrician installed a 50 amps switch where a 60 amps is the code. He said it can cause an electric fire. The second electrician who came with the 60 amps switch was reluctant to follow the county code. He said this is not a big deal. When I mentioned this to the company, they too believe it is a small error.; I do not think these people are licensed. I would not recommend this company. I plan on taking this up with the county in the interest of the safety of the other people in my county.

Excellent work and excellent company

Castro Electrical installed or upgraded several outlets; installed a new outdoor outlet; put a power fan in our attic; set up a Nest camera with floodlights on an abandoned circuit; and put lights in our utility and laundry rooms on switches. I heartily recommend this local company: fair prices, hard workers, and courteous to a fault.

Installed my EV charger with no issues

Great company to work with. Explained in detail what needs to be done for EV charger installation . They were on time and completely the job professionally. Had inspection done few days ago with no issues. I got a better quote from another company but preferred to stay with Castro electric as I trusted them 100%. Will definitely hire them again for any electric work.

The service technician was finishing up with another appointment and was in the area. He dropped by and was detailed in explaining my issue, fixed and test the issue. He was professional and courteous. I can't say anything except "outstanding service".

Initial visit had to be rescheduled due to illness, but on new date, the technician arrived well within the window and spent much time and effort to successfully solve the problems. I would definitely use Castro for any future electrical issues.

Quality, timeliness and reasonable cost for this project

Everything was great except that I had to reming workmen to keep their masks on indoors. This was before vaccines were available and even with vaccination, I ask that workmen keep their masks on in the house because I have children in the house.

They are very reliable. They kept me informed every step along the way. They arrived at the expected times (for the estimate and actual job). I used them to install an EV charging station, which seemed to be a difficult job to 3 (or perhaps more) other electricians.

Peter and Daniel from Castro Electric arrived promptly and were exceptionally professional. They explained what they were doing and why. Best of all, Peter found the problem right away and permanently fixed it.

I’m a Realtor and needed a reliable electrician to get a condo ready to settle. The seller’s “contractor” was over his head. This was a big job two weeks before we closed, and he was not returning calls. The job had four components including moving and installing a new electrical box, removing and re-installing a kitchen cabinet, buying and installing a new medicine cabinet and vanity light, and replacing every electrical outlet. Every lead I got for an electrician had gone nowhere. I found Castro Electric on Home Advisor (many thanks to that service) and Paul Castro met me the next day, provided an immediate proposal and started the work within days. Paul Castro provided fast, sterling service and the best part is that his team did all the work. I expected to have to find a painter to do the touch up, but Paul assured me his team could do the finishes as well. I now have an electrician I can rely on. Paul turned a stressful situation into a win for all of us and we are all happy and deeply appreciative. One of my adjectives for Castro Electric is “reliable”, another is “fast”, and a third is “accountable” – he was on schedule and sent photos of his progress. I am one happy Realtor to have Castro Electric as a resource!

Professional with excellent work. Everything well explained and work done well the first time.

I had a great experience with Castro Electrical, Paul Castro came to my house and checked over the work I needed to have done. I have a 24x36 foot shop built in 2004 and did not get a electrical permit, although everything was done to code in 2004--codes change. Paul explained what needed to be done to bring me up to current code and he also suggested I change out the outdoor power disconnect for the air conditioning, he mentioned that the county inspector would probably notice how rusted the old box was. To make a long story short Castro Electrical showed up on time, completed the job as planned and at a reasonable price! Now my shop is up to current code and I have a permit.
