EXCELLENT service. With all the snow this season, Kevin has been terrific making it so we never felt stuck. Perfect example: yesterday's snow was relentless, coming down all day long with no end in sight. Went to bed with our driveway and walks buried in probably 10" of snow (still buried around midnight), and woke up at 6am to the happy sight of clear paths thanks to Kevin who quietly came by in the dark and dug us out. Could not be more thrilled with the peace of mind and fantastic work he provides.

The initial contact, Kevin was responsive, he immediately called me back and personally came out to give me an estimate. On the day the work was scheduled, he and his team were punctual and the work they did was fantastic. They trimmed shrubs in front and back of my townhouse, mulched, weeded and did some tree removal. I am a first time user and will definitely be a repeat customer. Kevin and his team showed superior customer service.

The first one was $150 and the second one is a two parter and we have only paid for part of it. The rest of it will be done in the fall. The estimate for the total is about $500. They were just fine. The price was very good and it was right. I would absolutely use them again.

Great the first year in 2012, tapered off to worse service in 2013, to this year horrible service to the point I called to cancel their services. In 2012 they did as the contract stated, however, I met the owner one day when he was servicing my lawn back in 2013 I think, and from that day forward, service has been downright nonexistent. I'm not one to bring up racism cause I believe people are generally good people, however I am a black dude. I'll leave it at that and just stick to the significant drop off in service. It's June and earlier this year I have received the notice that he would continue the service from 2013. I got one notice that he sprayed my lawn. That's it. No clean up and mulch, No lime, no core and aerate, no pruning and trimming. Last year when I noticed that he only had come to my home twice from March to August in 2013 to fertilize and provide weed control, I contacted the company and send me a memo on 8/22/13 that they fertilized my lawn. That was the last I heard from them. They may have come once in the winter, however I cannot find that invoice. But who fertilizes in the winter? Well my lawn looked horrible with weeds all over the place. I live in an end unit townhome and while not extravagant, it looked alot better when Tru-Green was taking care of it. I will probably go back to them. This year I had to lay my own mulch and prepare my own weed beds. I'm not a green thumb guy, but I expected better from this company based on the reviews here on Angies list.

It went well They were thorough, they were responsive to my needs,.e.g. I had to get to a doctor's appointment and they were able to clear our driveway and walkway to meet my needs. I prescheduled them and they responded.in a timely manner. I have used them several times this winter and have been pleased with the service each time.

Kevin, the owner, was very nice and punctual. He came over and told us exactly what was needed and wasn't needed. He did not to sell us on something we did not need. He gave good suggestions and his crew has been coming over to cut our grass and edge on a regular basis. All in all very pleased with his service.

We had some lawn damage from a delivery truck and Birchwood provided quote and repair. Evened out lawn, added dirt, grass seed and covered with hay. Still too early to provide details on how it comes out. However, we used Birchwood for plowing our long driveway this winter and were not disappointed. Kevin was always prompt and very thorough with the plowing. There was some very minor lawn damage but he fixed this with the other spots at no extra charge. We plan on using them for lawn services this season.

He was professional, prompt and did a fantastic job.

I’ve been using them for ten years. I don’t know how much I spend on their service but it’s hundreds of dollars a year. Their price is probably good. I don’t know the workers but I know the owner. I don’t think that they are very professional but the owner is. I will continue to use their services again in the future.

The entire process went smoothly from start to finish. I was given an on-site estimate. The work was completed within the requested time frame and the actual cost was close to the estimate. I am happy with the results and expect to use their services again.

One the first visit, the shrubs in the from were removed, totally. Ground was evened out and sidewalk swept of any debris. Then on the second visit, the azales were planted in the front and mulched. Then they trimmed overgrown lilac and p**** willow bush, and cut down all wild saplings, removing all weeds and debris and extra trimmings from the fall that had been bagged. Did an EXCELLENT job!!

I have used Birchwood since June 2008. Kevin and his team do a great job on mowing, trimming, mulching and can do extra work like outdoor lighting. Birchwood is a great company and I would recommend them to anyone.

They were very quick. We were away on vacation and coming home to the icy streets. We called them to take care of the ice on the driveway and they did, and we were able to get in safely. They are very reliable. The work is satisfactory and the service is reliable.

Everything has gone very well. One year we tried someone else, and we went right back to Birchwood. We usually have to speak with the owner because the crew that comes usually has a limited number of English-speaking workers, although we have been able to communicate with the crew when necessary. They have been reliable, and their price is reasonable, although we have not compared prices for quite some time. We have been happy with their work.

They are fine and reasonable. He is a guy in my neighborhood. I think they give a special rate for people in the neighborhood.
