Excellent experience. Dave and Jenny Bennigton are professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant to work with. The job began on September 2, 2008 and was essentially finished by the end of October. The only thing preventing completion was the hand-made tile that I had ordered for the back splash--it came in approximately 3 weeks late. Once it did arrive, Dave's crew started the install the very next day. Dave's crew was at the house everyday at 7:00, were courteous and professional, and left my house at 3:00 only after ensuring the job site was clean. As homeowners are prone to do, I changed my mind along the way but, Dave was always flexible about these changes and was always able to offer options and solutions. Because the job was a remodel on a 25 year-old house, Dave ran in to some unexpected problems along the way (one never knows what is really lurking behind some walls and under some floors), but he quickly figured out a plan of action to resolve the problems to keep the work progressing. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend him to others or call him again to do other work. They very much wanted us to be happy with the work they did, and we are very happy with it. They did excellent work and cared that they met our expectations (I am rather picky). Cost was more than the estimate, but it was due to my changes--I selected more expensive items and had them do additional work. The kitchen and family room are really beautiful.

One of the best experiences I've ever had with a contractor. Submitted a request online; was called the same day and estimated the same day (they live nearby). Dave did a wonderful job with ideas and suggestions for the foyer; he clearly knows what he is doing. Jenny, Dave, and I came up with a plan and price that worked for me. The job took about 3 days. The workers were here early, did their jobs, were neat and clean. The woodworking that was done is just absolutely amazing. The attention to detail is great. The painter was also great; I just can't say enough good things about this experience.

It was without a doubt, and without a moments hesitation, the best experience I have had with a provider. They were professional considerate polite and clean. They were great, and my experience with this provider was stellar. They did the work on time, and they went above and beyond to not be obtrusive. The owners take their work seriously. The product used to build the bookcase was top and it looks great. They kept themselves out of sight, and you could hardly tell anyone was here. They were on time every day and rotated their work very well. I would recommend this provider to everyone.

The entire project went well. David and Jenny paid a lot of attention to me as a client. As a master carpenter, Dave has good insight and experience with jobs such as this. The staff was very professional and punctual. They notified me of the timing of each phase of the project and were always mindful of the fact I have young children. They have a great team and know how to pull together and complete a project in good time. Well done job!

I contacted him to re-grout some bathroom tile joints. He said it would take a lot more than re-grouting. He recommended to apply caulk to some areas. He did this in five minutes. He was supposed to follow up with me regarding the pantry door and he never got back to me. He was also going to let me know about replacing the aluminum folding door with a three a panel door and he never got back with me.

We were very pleased. We would use them again.

I spoke to Jenny and she couldn't answer my questions, but said she would have her husband call me. I never received a call back from her husband or Jenny. I went with another contractor who was very responsive.

Jenny and David kept us fully informed as to when work would start. There was a short delay because the matching brick required by our HOA did not arrive as expected. Once started, the work went quickly, and with minimum disruption. The wall being rebuilt borders one of our flower beds, and they didn't even disturb the plants! Once the work was finished, they cleaned up completely. The new wall looks great and is a perfect match to the existing walls.

Excellent. Skilled workers (some tricky cuts involved) - on time; professional, careful, clean, expert work performed. I would definitely use and refer Jenny's Design Build for any job for the home. I was very impressed with every aspect of my experience with this contractor. They just completed a beautiful addition in my neighborhood along with a deck that really enhanced the curb appeal of the home. They are friendly, honest, creative, flexible and skilled - what more could anyone ask for!

It was a great experience. They gave us a good price. Jenny herself actually takes the online inquiries. She got back to me within about an hour. She actually sets up the appointments and follows-up well. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

They did a fabulous job. Their crews were all very clean, careful and professional. They gave me complete confidence in their ability to do the work that needed to be done. The result is almost a brand new space that I will really enjoy.

They were very responsive. They showed up when they said they were going to. The owner actually came and assisted the worker. The door is not completely sealed so I have to call him about that. Other than that the rest of the work was done really good.

Dave suggested using grooved composite decking for the ramp for safety and the finished project was excellent. It also looks a lot better and was less costly than a metal ramp.

Much of the trim on our townhouse was in poor condition, and needed replacing and all of it need repainting. They came when expected. They used the paints to match the required finishes by our Homeowner's Association. They were very professional throughout the job and cleaned up when the left. The fence and trim look great!

They arrived on time. The job took longer than expected, because they had to do the work from the back, going through the wall. They installed the hardware, redid the wall plastering, and cleaned up after themselves quite thoroughly. We are very pleased.

I was impressed by their professionalism and friendliness. Everything went according to schedule and I couldn't be more pleased. Their attention to detail makes them stand apart from other builders.

Our general contractor hired Jenny's to install an entire custom cherry library that had been fabricated off-site. Jenny's handymen did an amazing job. They were on time, professional, delightful to have in our home and are true craftsmen. Their carpentry is perfection. Very precise. They cleaned up every speck of saw dust and debris and neatly packed up all of their tools each day before leaving.

The second time they came out they sent a different technician and he ran into traffic so he was a little late. Jenny made a follow up call to make sure the service was satisfactory.

Overall they did a good job. They showed up on time when they said they would and cleaned up well when they were done. I would hire them again for future service.

I called Jenny and set up appointment with her husband to come out and give me an estimate. He was on time, did measurements and gave me estimate while there. I agreed to price and have it installed next week. The carpenter showed on time, removed old door and began installing new one. About 20 minutes in, he asked if I had a caulk gun he could use (he went out an purchased one). When asked to inspect the final work, I said the caulking was sloppy, and he left some old wood shims sticking out. He repaired them both. I also mentioned the threshold was 'spongy' when pressure was applied so if I really stepped hard on it, it might bend (being aluminum) permanently. He said he put some adhesive under it that would harden overnight. I estimate he was on the job about one and a half hours. The next day I tested the threshold and it was no better. I emailed Jenny and she called quickly to arrange a repair by the carpenter. He came out later that day with shims to brace the threshold and finished the job well in about an hour and half. I felt the sloppiness of the work the first time around for about $650.00 of labor (including buying new door, disposing old) was disappointing. He did not have all the proper tools or supplies. I think there should have been more oversight of the job (i.e. inspection) by management. However after the 2nd trip, the work turned out satisfactorily.

We had wanted to remodel the master suite for sometime especially the bathroom. The walls in the master bedroom were damaged and there were many nail pop outs from the dry wall poking through the paint. The bathroom was builder grade...white tiles.. cheap vanity...strange configuration tub, and same pop-outs and wall damage. Finally someone that we were working with on another project recommended Dave Bennington. I made an appointment with him in January. I told him what I wanted to do, he offered some alternatives and suggestions. I told him what I wanted to spend and he came back with a proposal and estimate within two days. We negotiated back and forth and came to an agreement.. The work would take about 6 weeks..He started the first week of February 2008. There was never a missed day of work.. He and his crew did most of the demolition and cabinet building. He had sub-contractors for painting , plumbing and electrical. They were all excellent. He finished on time

Provided comprehensive information up front on costs. Worked with me to schedule around a difficult period for me to take off from work. Arrived a little late but called. Had exactly right tools to complete porch door quickly. Left no mess. Spent time with me going over the problems with the exterior door and provided a number of suggestions and catalogs to consider for a replacement. Also suggested where I could go to see door samples. Will call them to replace door once we select a new one.

The work was done promptly, i.e. within one day, and was performed completely neatly and professionally. The company is responsive, on time, careful as well as friendly.

Dave returned my call promptly and gave me a realistic estimate. He is professional and knowledgeable in all facets of the remodel and referred me to an excellent source of tile. He offered many good ideas. His pricing was fair and he was immediately responsive. The work was done by Dave and his excellent craftsman, quickly and precisely. Jenny runs an efficient backroom operation so all administrative contracts, billing, change orders and other communication is almost immediate, as it is all done via email.
