He came and inspected my basement. Told me that I did not need waterproofing services, that a plexiglass shield over the window well outside would take care of the problem. He was thorough and respectful. I could not ask for better service.

Basically the technology works, so far so good. They've been responsive to a couple of calls we had and they've come back and work on. They gave us the quote and we took it and that's what it costs.

Jay came out to inspect our basement and to give us an estimate to our flooding problem. He was able to give us a list of exactly what our issues were. He listed everything in a comprehensive email (problems and solutions) non of which were too costly . He was so honest and told us we probably would not need his services if we took a few simple steps. Highly recommended , highly professional.

We're glad that we hired Basement Technologies. We found Basement Technologies' estimator, Jay, to be very responsive and professional, and the guys who did the work on our basement did a fine job. In order to install the french drain, they had to saw off the lower half of approximately 40 feet of knotty pine paneling -- and my wife and I appreciated the fact that the foreman removed the panels quite carefully, so as not to damage them, and that he also numbered the panels so they'd be easier to put back into place. After the job was done, the foreman took time to give us some advice on reflooring the basement, and he also helped us reposition our washer & dryer, which he didn't have to do. My one gripe is that I wish the crew had thought to seal off the basement stairs with plastic sheeting before they started sawing and jackhammering. Once I saw the situation and asked Basement Technologies to seal the stairwell, they did, but by then every room on the ground floor of our house was coated with a layer of sawdust and/or cement particles. Apart from that one complaint, we found Basement Technologies to be a good, honest company, and we would hire them again.

We purchased the offer as we had some water leaking into our rental property basement. The company indicated that since our total would be $2200, we would be better off 20% off of the total prices so we accepted that statement. work went well, crack seems to be fixed. We called them to deal with a basement problem in June when the water table at our home caused seepage. Work was again done as stated. I am not happy with the slope we now have in the floor as it settled and am trying to get that addressed before we put our flooring back in. I had thought we had an agreement to handle the electricity to the new sump pump differently, so working to resolve this as well.

We recently had water entering our basement during high rains. We had four companies come over to assess what we should do to address the issue. We received four different recommendations. The first three recommended two different invasive, expensive outdoor approaches and an internal French drain. All of them walked the property to determine the solution. Jay from basement technologies took the time to run a hose to force the water issue to occur, removed a small amount of drywall, checked the cinder block with a small boor-hole to really understand what was causing the issue and not just speculate based on previous experience. The result was a recommendation to do to non invasive external work. His diligence has saved us a tremendous amount of money and he stands to gain nothing as the work does not require the company's expertise. It is hard to get on their schedule but well worth the wait.

Went very well. Jay was very thorough when he evaluated my situation. Chris and his crew jack hammered the 50' x 26' perimeter of my basement, removing all of the debry, installing the drains and sump pump and refinishing the floor all in a little over a day and a half. They were always respectful and curtious and I would recommend them to anyone and would hire them again myself but I doubt that I will be needing their services in this house.

Great! I would use this company again (but hopefully won't have to . . . no more leaky basement please!). They arrived on time. Explained everything of what they were doing and why and finished 3 hrs earlier than expected (they had an additional worker!). They were expensive but have a lifetime warranty (which transfers between homeowners).

First job very well done. It is too soon to tell on the second job.

They were quick to respond with a call back and provide the details I needed to email the technician for an estimate. The tech returned the estimate within 24 hours. I recently had water enter my crawlspace for the first time after the heavy rains. Out of six companies I called, this was only the second company that actually returned my call. I chose them based on information provided on Angie?s list and the lower estimate. I will update this review once the work is complete.

Work was done as contracted and with very good quality and solved our water seepage problem. Jay was accommodating to our specific situation. I would recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

I did not end up using this big deal because the company let us know they do not service our area.

I needed more work, so I couldn't use the deal. They were very good with the situation. They were prompt, professional, and very honest.

We have water coming up the floor from our basement. It took 3 weeks to get an appointment for someone to come look at it for a quote. The scheduling system is sorta frusturating. You call a number that no one answers then a guy (Brian I think) calls you back and leaves a long voicemail sales pitch having you call back to the voicemail number and pretty much you play phone tag until you answer Brian's call to get an appointment. The came out and seemed to understand the issue and wanted to put a water trek system in. It didn't seem as thorough has another company we had come out. The system does not go too deep and they said the sump-pump they would put it would only last 5-7 years vs. the other company that is putting in a much better system. They also said we didn't need permits for the job, but I am 100% sure we do, they just don't want to hassle with it. Although Basement Technologies would have probably helped us with our problem I just wasn?t comfortable cutting corners with this big of an issue in our basement.

Brian contacted me; hurrying off the phone; wanted to know if I owned the house; explained they were 8 weeks booked out; take pictures on inside and outside of where I think the problem is and email them to the email address he provided; he will get back to me. Really?

I spoke with the company and they said they could not perform service in my situation.

The crew showed up when promised and worked hard for two days. The work was finished as promised. I didn't understand that we would have 2 unsightly pipes running out of each end of the house on the outside but that is really not a big deal. We should get our first rains in the next few days so we'll see if it was all worth it! They don't seem to have dedicated office staff so communicating was a little slow here and there while we were setting up the work. We eventually got all of our questions answered and our scheduling worked out to our satisfaction. Our basement is only accessible from the first floor so the workers laid drop cloths down and got to work. They hauled buckets of tile and concrete up and down the stairs all day. The first floor was a giant mess when they were done. There was dust on all surfaces. I was expecting the basement mess but was not warned that there would be a bucket of dirt that I'd need to clean up on my main floor. Maybe they could have done a better job of keeping it clean but they were hauling extremely heavy stuff up and down so I give them a pass. They did lay plastic over the furniture in the basement but it did little to keep the dust out. It would have been more effective to use painters tape to secure the plastic. My carpeted stairs leading to the basement were also a mess. The lead of the crew was a different guy each day. Both were very nice and respectful. They did a good job answering our questions and walking us through the changes when the work was all done. They preserved as much of our existing tile as possible. They were able to avoid cutting the tile in our basement bathroom which will save us a little money. They made sure we understood that our warranty would be void if the remodeling work that we need to do compromises the integrity of their work. They gave us some specific things to tell the next contractor, which was helpful. All in all, I would definitely recommend this company. My biggest complaint is the mess. I can live with that for a leak free basement!

Basement Technologies arrived at our home at 8:00am on Saturday morning and began jackhammering out the concrete along the inside wall of the front of our home, and about three feet down each side. They also removed the drywall about four foot up the wall. The guys worked all day long, don't think they even took a lunch break. They went about their business professionally and completed the project around 5:00pm that day. They also did an excellent job cleaning up. I had talked with another company about fixing the basement and they told me it would take 4-5 days to complete, and at a cost that was more that twice the cost of Basement Technologies. I thought they did a great job. And, with all of the rain we have had in the last 4-6 weeks, not a drop of water in the basement. What more can I say. I've already recommended Basement Technologies to two other people who were having a problem with water in their basement.

It was great. They were able to do the job in one day and much faster than other companies quoted us. They sent 6-7 people out to do the job. They did a good job of keeping everything clean as they were doing the job. They also took us through a walk-through once they were done which was pretty nice.

I have been so impressed with the team from Basement Technologies. Throughout the process, they have been very responsive, adaptable, and honest. After receiving a quote, we had to delay our services, but will sure engage with them to complete the work as soon as it is practical.

I was having a problem with water leaking into my basement stairwell. I sent photos and described the problem. Jay Bengtson responded to my e-mails and asked for more information. He was able to determine that my problem was caused by something different from the kind of work they do, but he continued to help me troubleshoot via photos and e-mail to help me figure out who to call. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me, even if it didn't mean immediate business for him. I would certainly call him if I had any problems related to the kind of work they do.

The provider would not talk to my wife, and only wanted to talk to me. We did not like his attitude.
