They arrived exactly when they said they would. Came in and grabbed it all in no time. Did a fantastic job. They even did the little things you don't think of - like make sure boxes were secured and furniture was properly covered. They then met me at my new place in the city and put everything exactly where I wanted it. They assembled my bed and my entertainment center. They took such great care of my stuff that I was shocked once they were done. Only 30 minutes over, in fact, even though my bed gave them so much trouble assembling. I have already recommended them to a couple people and plan to keep doing so. Thanks, Luis and team!

Customer Service is exceptional with this company ! Movers were fast and curteous to our needs. I would highly recommend hiring them for your moving services, this was the best money spend during my move. Moved from a single level family home to a four level town home and the service and estimate were right on point no suprises.

Bargain Movers had a coupon for $299 for 2 movers with a truck and all the equipment for 3 hours of work. The movers were prompt, professional, and very careful with our belongings. I would definitely use them in the future.

We used Bargain Movers to move from Alexandria to Arlington and it was fast, cheap and easy!! They were very responsive, professional and courteous. Our furniture got treated with great care and the move was completed in just a couple of hours--nothing broken, no surprises or hidden costs. They did all of this for about half of what other moving companies had quoted us when we called for estimates. I would definitely use these guys again in the future and will recommend them to all my friends in the DC area!

The three man crew showed up on time. They worked quickly and carefully at all three locations and did an excellent job. Nothing was broken and great care was taken getting a few pieces of furniture through tight spaces. The quote I received was spot on and exactly what I ended up paying (this has not been my experience with other companies). I would definitely use them again and highly recommend.

Bargain Movers did a great job moving my family to a new house nearby. Luis, the owner came over and gave me a free estimate and provided tips for minimizing the moving cost, as we were on a limited budget. I like that they are a family owned company as well. Maurice, Conroy, and Jose were our 3 man moving team and they did a great job. They arrived slightly ahead of schedule, worked efficiently and carefully, and completed the job in under 7 hours, which exceeded my expectations. A family member was recently burned by a local competitor, so it was refreshing to have an honest and fair experience that exceeded our expectations. The all inclusive hourly rate is great because it allows you to accurately estimate and budget for the cost. I would definitely use them again.

Luis was very good in getting back to me with a quote and confirmed the appointment a couple days before the scheduled move date. The movers were prompt, fast, and efficient. I've never seen three men work as hard as these gentlemen.I tried to give them them drinks and they just didn't want to stop. They worked at a steady pace all day disassembling and assembling bedroom furniture,treadmill and television stand/TV. They never scratched our freshly painted walls and nothing was damaged. The quote was spot on accurate and lowest one we received. Other companies said if you have more than so many boxes xyz happens. Not with Luis and his family owned company You have an hourly fee and nothing is better than that. Overall, a great experience from start to finish. Picking another moving company over Bargain Movers is just wasting your money. This a very professional moving company that know what they're doing and to top it off we received an Angie's List discount. I just can't say enough about how smooth this move was.

Luis was very responsive in getting back to me with a quote, and the company confirmed the appointment several days before the scheduled move date. The movers were prompt and respectful. All of our belongings were moved without damage. Not only was the quote fairly accurate, but it was several hundred dollars less than other quotes I obtained. Even after the move when I thought something was misplaced (even though it was not), Luis was good about getting back to me. Overall, great experience from start to finish.

Please see above. There are many fly-by-night movers who underestimate, then over-charge. This company is not one of them. They did everything possible to save me money, even though it meant myself moving nearly 1,000 books and packing. I really appreciated Bargain Movers working within my budget.

Crew arrived early. Worked efficiently and had me out the door in under two hours. Took another two hours to unpack from the moving van and into my new home. Crew worked at a steady pace and placement of my furniture was completed per my direction.

Overall, it was a wonderful smooth move!

Bargain Movers were absolutely wonderful. Spoke with Luis and went over all of the rooms in my household to determine what size truck he would need and to estimate how long the move would take. Luis was very professional and thorough. Also, when Martina called to complete the paperwork she was very friendly and professional. During the week of the move I received 2 calls to confirm. The day of the move they came 2 hours early but call perviously to ask if it was ok and I was glad to get an early start. When the movers arrived they introduced each other and started immediately. When we arrived at the new place I told the movers the place had just been painted and I was very impressed that they were very careful when bringing in the boxes and furniture not the scuff the walls. One other thing I would like to mention. The movers handled all of my belongs with care they did not throw of mishandle anything, which shows they respect other people belongs and care about the kind of work they do. Luis came out to the house and did an estimate. He was very professional, dressed nice, and did a great job selling the family owned aspect of the company. His assistant, Martina, was very professional as well and they did a great job keeping an open line of communication. The 3 man crew, led by Maurice, showed up at 9AM, right on the dot. Although he was a bit concerned that we had too much stuff to fit on the truck, he packed it so we only had to fill up my car and my wife's car with the extra stuff. They moved a giant armoire down the stairs and it got stuck. They tried and tried but couldn't make the corner. They took the piece apart in such a way that I was able to get it back together no problem. They worked like crazy and got the job done in 6 hours. I tipped them well and bought them lunch. They were extremely appreciative and really good guys. Trustworthy, hard workiing, good personalities. I would recommend Maurice and his crew anyday.

The three men arrived promptly--thy even called at about 7:50 AM to say that they might be several minutes late. Work began fairly quickly. The men worked promptly and courteously. We had moved all of our (boxed) household items, so all they moved was furniture and several very heavy items.. Everything was wrapped in blankets and/or shrink-wrapped.Only two very small items (the wheel to a plastic dresser and a bookshelf hinge) were "lost" in the move, but--amazingly, given the very small size of those items--we found those! So I can say that nothing was (permanently) lost!With all of the horror stories about movers--two of our apartment neighbors moved within the last several months, and neither mover should up on the day of the move, forcing our neighbors to scramble to make other (much more expensive) arrangements--it was extremely gratifying that Martina called the weekend before the move to confirm and that the pleasant movers showed up--on time!Finally, Luis's estimate was close to the final total, and I can attribute the difference to the EXTREMELY long distance from our apartment to the elevator to the loading dock.

Luis came out to house to do an estimate and put it in writing. His office assistant, Martina, was also terrific to work with. I was very stressed out by the move, which came unexpectedly, and they were so patient and professional. The movers arrived right on time and got to work. In spite of the 100 degree heat, they were diligent and efficient. They padded and shrink-wrapped everything so carefully, and verything arrived at the new house intact. This is the best group of movers I have ever worked with. I highly recommend them.

Very prompt, professional and careful

I needed to move a sectional by the weekend. I looked on Angie's List. Bargain Movers was 3rd on my list to call (fewer reviews than the 1st 2). The lady I spoke w/ to make the appointment was friendly, efficient, and said they could move it on Thursday. Per my request, they called when they were on their way and said they would be there in 30 minutes. I left work to go to the location and they were there exactly 30 minutes from when they called. Each of the crew members shook my hand when they walked into the house. The crew remained professional and friendly for the duration of the move. They were polite, efficient, and careful moving the sectional out of the house and into my house. No damage to either house. I would use this company again.

The entire experience with Bargain Movers was great. Luis, the owner came to our condo to do an estimate which we fully trusted. We packed ourselves and they didnt just arrive at 8am but were moving boxes at 8am. The truck was prepped etc by 8am it was great. We had 3 movers, all great. Nothing was damaged or broken in the move and they were very professional. No standing around and talking. Obviously towards the end of the day on a hot June Friday they slowed down but we were all moving slower at that point.

I can not say enough about my overall experience. Luis was prompt for his appointment when he came out to do our estimate. The expectation was solidly set and met for both cost and moving experience. That was only topped by how prompt, nearly to the minute, his movers showed up on the day of moving, and the care they took with our furniture. The movers were careful every step of the way, and even documented how each piece of furniture was disassembled. They took equal care in placing and reassembling our furniture out our new home. All of Bargain Movers staff members were consummate professionals. I would not hesitate to refer them to anyone!

Bargain Movers is FANTASTIC! I was planning a move that was scheduled to happen in less than 3 days. I called multiple moving companies (on Angie's List) and found that although most were very thoughtful, they were not cheap. Eventually I made my way down to Luis at Bargain Movers and he was very understanding, he let me spell out my entire story and at the end he said he could help. WIth my A.L. discount the total came to far less than the other quotes I had received earlier that day. He said he would take care of everything and he did. The move, from door to door, took less than 3 hours, his men were respectful, careful, and really hard workers. At the end of the day I couldn't have been happier with Bargain Movers and will DEFINITELY be using them in future moves!

They were not slacking; they were constantly working and not taking their time. I guess you could say they were pretty motivated. They estimated higher than the actual final price because they were looking at a worst case scenario when quoting. I will use them again in the future.

EXCELLENT...I received a call the day before to confirm my move and if I had any questions. On the day of the move, the movers arrived 15 minutes early and went straight to work. They handled everything very well and wrapped my furniture (no charge). They were very careful and efficient. In the new home they placed everything where I asked them to and even moved around furniture for me. While they do have a 3 hour minimum charge (which is what it took me), they were cheaper than 2 other companies I had contacted. The truck was huge and had ample space. All in all it made my move effortless and I would definetely recommend them to anyone.

Bargain Movers was recommended to me by a friend who used them to move about a year ago. When you contact Bargain Movers for a quote, they guarantee that you will receive a phone call within 30 minutes with your quote. Sure enough, about 15-20 minutes later I got a call from Luis Cardenas Jr., the owner of the company. The phone call alone made me sure I would choose this company. Luis was very friendly and personable. Above that, he was completely straight forward, honest, and did not hide any information or charges. Luis explained that the Bargain Mover?s price was all inclusive, whereas other companies will end up charging you by floor, for packing materials, etc., which I did in fact find to be the case. The price was about mid-range compared to other quotes I received, but I knew that there wouldn?t be any surprise charges, and there were not. Luis decided I would need two movers and the minimum move time (3 hours). The day of the move I had three movers show up (I did not get charged for the extra man). They were all very friendly and professional. I was absolutely amazed at how quickly yet carefully they packaged and moved my furniture. Even though I was moving from an apartment, I had very large, heavy, high quality furniture. The townhouse I moved in to has very tight small staircase areas, which made moving in my large furniture very difficult. Some of the furniture had to be brought into the house by being hoisted onto the deck and brought in that way. The movers were able to do this without difficulty. The most difficult situation we had was with my extra long large dresser. It just would not fit up the stairs. The movers tried every imaginable angle but could not get it up. They didn?t give up though, and ended up removing the entire banister in order to get it to fit. This required extensive hammering and unscrewing, and definitely went beyond what most movers would be willing to do. They probably spent an entire hour just getting that dresser upstairs. I want to stress that this is not because they were incompetent, rather they were incredibly determined to complete the job. Unfortunately when removing the banister some damage was done to the wall. I reported this to Luis, and after he reviewed the pictures I sent him and talked to the movers he decided to send me a check to help cover the cost of repairing the damage. Luis was very friendly and helpful through this process. What I liked so much about Bargain Movers was the that you get the personal touch and attention of a small business, but the professionalism, supplies, and equipment I would expect of a larger company. Even though dealing with the wall damage was a bit stressful, I would absolutely use Bargain Movers again, and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of movers.

The whole move took the entire business day as expected. The expectation was set by the manager, Lou. He was very helpful in the initial process of deciding what we would need for the move, of course other than manpower and a truck. He suggested extra materials, such as boxes, protective blankets, packing tape, etc. Definitely felt like helpful information at the time, rather than an up sell. Everything we were suggested ended up being needed. Driver and two additional movers showed up exactly on time. I think they were actually early, as I noticed the truck in the alley 20 minutes before the actual appointment. Immediately they assessed the task at hand and began to move items systematically into the truck. Not too much elaborate detail to moving. I can say this, we were in a building on East West Highway in Silver Spring which shared a back alley with other businesses. The 24 foot truck was maneuvered into the back alley perfectly with no disturbance to the neighboring businesses. The team of movers seemed never to take a break during the course of the day and made two trips to the new office and back. It's been just about a year in the new office, and I do miss Silver Spring, but Bargain Movers made the transition as painless as possible.
