We were really pleased with this service. The staff is very easy to work with, the quote was fair, and the workers were highly skilled, and a pleasure to have around. We will be asking them back for another job in the near future.

Hometown Tree Experts was great in every way! I've had several companies trim this tree over the years, this is the first time the finished product looks the way I want it. It's symmetric and has a very nice shape in addition to be cut back from key areas. I've received multiple compliments. The price was a little higher than others I have used, but then none of the others gave me exactly what I requested and wanted. The company was very professional and kept me updated as to when they'd come out for the estimate, when they were likely to come out to do the work, what the actual date would be etc. As I said great!!!

Great company to work with, from the initial job estimate through the day of work completion. Greg Dionne, the rep who reviewed the work to be done and provided the cost estimate, and Antonio (Tony) with his crew of two others were first rate from start to finish: prompt, proficient, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. They cleaned up the work area like the best of any lawn care company. They submitted the lowest of the three bids I received & did all the work on two very large trees all in one visit. I'd hire them again in a heart beat. They encourage and respond well to, clear, upfront discussion on what needs to be done, as well as any concerns or precautions the client might have, like prized plants or belongings in the work area. I had no delicate shrubs or flower beds to get damaged by falling limbs and branches, but I did have a nice TREX deck with railing that I didn't want smashed up. Not a scratch. Couldn't have been happier with the personnel or the finished results. They rate an A+.in my book!

First treatment applied - too early to tell if it will be successful.

Hometown kept me informed well in advance of the planned date of service. They showed up on time and completed all work efficiently and professionally. They cut and removed two 80-feet tall pines and a 40+-feet tall spruce, which were sandwiched between my house and two neighbors, smoothly and safely. They ground the stumps and cleaned up nicely. Excellent service!

Hometown did a complete yard clean up of my husband's childhood home including weeding, edging, shrub & tree pruning and removal. They thoroughly removed the debris. At the last minute they were flexible & installed some plants we had purchased after my husband hurt his back. The supervisor I met with at the beginning of the process was knowledgable, experienced, and took time to answer all my questions. They were easy to work with, quick to respond to our communications via email or phone, and very polite and professional. The foreman and hard working crew worked efficiently. The place looked great after 1 1/2 days. We would hire them again and recommend them highly to others.

It was a tie between Hometown and another contractor, and I chose the other one because that business was closer to my home. However, I was VERY impressed with Hometown's clear and prompt communication and responsiveness to my request for a bid, as well as their follow through as I made my decision. It was after I'd committed to the other one that learned more about the professional credentials of the Hometown arborist. I will definitely consider Hometown as a front runner the next time.

I needed a tree removed, but needed to stagger projects, and they worked with my schedule so that I could do so, and performed the work promptly and professionally once everything was scheduled. Would definitely use them again if I needed to.

I received 3 estimates for the job. Their price was less than the other 2. They promptly provided a written (e-mail) estimate. I marked them down to a B because they gave me only 2 days notice as to when they would do the work, and even then would not tell me the time when they would begin. However, they did show up bright and early on the day scheduled. The quality of their work was excellent and performed as agreed upon. They also did a good job of cleaning up the yard when the job was completed. I would use them for future projects and would recommend their services.

I did my search on Angie's List. I read my reviews. I selected 2 companies to call. Hometown responded first (Monday) and came out 2 days later (Wednesday) to offer a quote. I actually met with the owner (not a salesman). His name was Mr. Polizos but I would only know him as John. I tried to get the 2nd company to come out on Wednesday as well but they could come until Friday. John was extremely friendly and very personable. I showed him the tree. He offered a price of $750 to cut down all the broken branches (a lot and large), clean the yard from debri, and shred the branches. I did not know if he offered a good price or not being the first quote. I try to do for myself but I needed help with this job. I told him I have another company coming in 2 days for another quote. I asked what he would charge to cut down everything and to cut the large branches into 2 feet sections and I would clean up the debri. He offered $450. I asked him if that included my Angies list discount. I did not know if there was a discount. Does not hurt to ask. He said if I accept his offer today, he would do the job for $400. DONE. I could not see it going any lower. I accepted his offer and cancelled the 2nd company. I signed a contract and put down 1/3 of the price. When the company came out (John and 4 workers), John stayed until all branches were cut down. He wanted the job done perfectly. Sometimes you need to make aesthetic decisions along the way. Eventually John moved on to the next job while his workers completed cutting up the wood for me. Now, I will tell you, was everything perfect.. the job was. However, here is what I learned. In times of bad weather, there may be more pressing matters... like a tree on a house or electric line. Mine was not an emergency but it was important to me. I thought communication could have been better because twice I came home early from work (I wanted to be there but didn't have to) and got rescheduled because they had emergencies. I felt the office staff could have done a better job keeping me informed. I also learned tree climbers can't do their job in bad weather or in heavy winds. How is that for an honest evaluation? I will tell you this, the next time I have a tree issue, I will call Hometown Tree Experts. I was very pleased with their work.

Arranged the site visit for the estimate promptly, gave us a very good price, came on the day and time specified and finished the job much more quickly than I had anticipated. Over all work was excellent, although the yard was just a tad messy at end where they missed a few limbs.

I requested price quotes from three contractors and all three were within 15% of each other, but theirs was the lowest. They were able to get me scheduled relatively quickly and were very responsive to my questions, unlike one of the other contractors who did not return phone calls.

Had an estimate scheduled for 1:00pm. I was home at noon. It’s now 2:00pm. No one has showed and no contact from the company.

Hometown did an excellent job. We had requested that they remove the stump and prepare the soil for planting and they spread grass seed over the prepared area. When they left, it looked like the tree had never been there.
