 + -1 moreVery response in making appointment and service man was good. He was 45 minutes late (after we clarified when making appointment that punctuality was key. They did take $30 off our bill since they were late. Service as very professional, and we signed up for a 1 year maintenance contract.

 + -1 moreThey diagnosed it very easily & we set traps & have been able to get rid of them. It is a very satisfactory service. Felt the price was very reasonable. They were very knowledgeable & we were very pleased. They provided the traps to catch the mice. I would definitely recommend them to others & use them in the future. We got personal attention from them compared to the bigger companies that aren't like that.
Description of Work: They came out & discovered there were mice in between the walls of the house.

 + -1 moreI called because my basement was becoming home to too many camel crickets. I would find them in the washing machine and in the cat box. The first visit was excellent, on time, and seemed thorough. He sprayed and caulked around holes in the wall where plumbing comes in. The follow up was less good. I expected them to call in 2 weeks, but I had to call. The tech came over an hour later than expected, which he said was because of traffic. (I think he left much later than he said he would as traffic was NOT that bad.) To his credit, he called to say he would be late. He spread some pellets outside and so far I haven't seen any more crickets.
Description of Work: Sprayed basement and other areas of the house to get rid of camel crickets. At the follow up visit he spread barrier pellets outside the house.

Description of Work: They treated for maggots (with a spray) after a bird nested in our oven vent ($45). They came back to cover the oven vent & 2 other vents, removing a nest & birds from one of the vents & treating for maggots. They were supposed to cover some ground level vents that mice had eaten through, but did not because the only way they said they could do it was to cover up our ability to open & close those vents as needed seasonally. I think they could have gone in the crawl space & done it from the inside. I would have paid more to have that done. They did not complete some items on the original invoice (the floor level vents), which I wrote on the invoice when the work man was here & he agreed, then they gave me grief about not wanting to pay for it & I had to go back & forth with the work man several times. I ended up paying a fair amount for the work done. The work was done to my satisfaction (except the ground level vents) & the price was fair. I just didn't like all the billing problems. That said, they were quick to respond & did a fine job, so I would probably use them again.

We were concerned about the possibility that we had carpenter ants, and he addressed that problem as well. Since he sprayed in July, we didn't see even one more ant. The treatment was extremely effective.

 + -1 moreTechnician was friendly, efficient and thorough. We were hearing mice in our kitchen behind the appliances and seeing droppings in the cabinet under the sink. Now no more evidence of mice in the cabinets. Still getting mice occasionally behind the stove, but not nearly as bad as before. And for the one time price, Ward has been to our house 3 times to find and cut off points of entry for the mice. I am very satisfied with their service and would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Hired Ward Pest Control to deal with mouse problem. They inspected our row house inside and out for points of entry to seal.

But when he came, he was very helpful, moved the refrigerator away from the wall to check for bugs and that gave me an opportunity to clean. He treated behind the refrigerator and in and around cabinets. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and solved the problem. I would highly recommend Ward Pest Control.
Description of Work: Ward treated the kitchen to eliminate cockroaches. The treatment was effective, and it ended the problem.

 + -1 moreWhile we have fewer moths than we did a year ago when we began using Ward Pest Control, we still have moths, and they've been unable to completely rid us of them. That's the basis for our overall rating of B, which would have been a C were it not for the fact that Jim Ward and his people are extraordinarily caring and professional. I'm sure that he's every bit as frustrated as we are that our problem persists. I'm not sure if we'll have any better luck with another pest control provider, but at this point I think we need to give that a try.

 + -1 moreThey have kept my house free of termites for over ten years. I recently upgraded my service contract to include rodents for this particular situation, and it was a reasonable fee. They were very meticulous at how they did this most recent job with the mice. I was very impressed with how well they did this job. They set traps and left and I have not had a problem since. We had little mice in three floors of my house, and they were gone overnight after American Pest Management was here. I will continue to use their services in the future and would recommend them to others.
Description of Work: They recently came and got rid of rodents for me. I have a service contract with them, in which they come out every sixty days to check for termites. They also have one rodent trap location.

 + -1 moreExcellent experience. When I called Ward's, the person on the phone listened to my story and gave a couple of choices for visits by technicians. They were able to send me someone within twenty four hours. Frank arrived on time and checked the kitchen and the perimeter of the house thoroughly. He sprayed the perimeter of the house, searched the yard for ant colonies, sprayed them and put down granules. He explained the whole process and why he chose the treatment method he did. He also gave me some tips to help reduce the likelihood of it happening again. I was very pleased by the whole experience and would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: Frank came and inspected my home because of an ant problem, sprayed and treated the colonies and the perimeter of the home.

The best thing about this company is that they called me a few days later to schedule a 2-week follow up to make sure the problems were corrected. They weren't. We still had ants but the tech treated again at no charge an we have not had any problems since.

 + -1 moreAs a result of renovations next door following a lot of loud banging for weeks on the shared wall as well as floors, I noticed mice droppings under the stove. After checking AL and talking to a friend who recommended Innovative Pest Management, I called them. Joshua came out and inspected and set some traps. After a couple of days Drew came to check the traps and close up the openings. There were mice. Yuck. He sealed behind the stove, under the sink and behind the dishwasher. These openings allowed the critters into the living space. He used wire mesh, aluminum and a foam sealant. Very professional and very knowledgeable about pests. I've had no more activity. I would also commend them for their patience. I was a wreck not able to sleep waiting for them fix the problem. All is well.

 + -1 moreThe technician was extremely personable and not only performed the contracted service but also answered questions and offered advice (such as to re-caulk the area behind the kitchen sink to prevent water from seeping into the wall--ants love a wet environment, he said). He explained the history of the property (we're new homeowners) based on evidence he could see. He told us that there had been termites at least 15 years ago but with no evidence of termites since then. Very helpful and very nice.
Description of Work: One-time treatment for ants in a three level townhouse. Ants on middle level.

Description of Work: The gentleman from Ward Pest Control came to our house after a horrible experience from another exterminating company. He inspected the garage and told us that we had carpenter ants, not termites. He then explained how to treat them, and told us that we could do the job ourself. When we asked for his bill, he gave us an invoice for $2.00 (gas). I will definitely use this service for future pest problems.

 + -1 moreThis has been the worst home service experience I have ever had, not limited to pest control. I called to complain about the $68 bill that I received and again the people at the company were very rude and only reduced the price to $40. I was so miffed by the treatment I received that I did not pay that bill. Two weeks later I get another bill for the original amount that also included a contract for a $500 annual pest control agreement. Unbelievable!!! I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your pest control needs.
Description of Work: We called Ward about carpenter bees in our carport. We have an infestation complete with tons of evidence. There is sawdust all over the floor and there are about a dozen circular holes in the wood of the carport. Despite the fact that I pointed these things out the pest control "professional" sent by ward said we have no carpenter bees. He took a stick and knocked down an old wasp nest. He was at our house for a total of five minutes, and did nothing to resolve the original problem.

 + -1 moreWe called a number of services and between price, reputation, and package, (we talked to Sam in sales) we decided on American pest management. They quoted us about 170 for the first service and 109 for the follow up bi-monthly treatments. We don't have pest problems, but have seen some camel crickets in our basement and have some wasps near our gutters and ants by our front steps. Our exterminator (Rebecca) was thorough and helpful and not only did the inspection and treatments, but also cleared cobwebs in and out of the house and filled obvious gaps near water pipes and other places where insects could enter the house. If there's an issue going forward, I'll update, but so far, we're very happy.
Description of Work: American Pest Mgmt. did a full outside and inside inspection, cleared cobwebs, sprayed in our basement and along the house perimeter, and installed termite monitors outside.
