Their phone contact was cordial and scheduled an inspection for a convenient time. The technician came out on time and inspected the house, finding no evidence of termites. He quoted a preventative termite service, but did not do a hard sell.

We have the Residential Home Services Platinum and we just renewed the annual package. Dean Smith, our technician, is responsive and kind to work with. Gail Clark, the residential account manager, and others we have talked on the phone with are always courteous and efficient in coordinating our appointments. We still see droppings and an occasional roach caught by the glue traps but for the most part the issue is much more under control than before.

Easy. They did not identify active termites, so they didn't need to do treatment inside the house. They installed termite baits around the perimeter last year. In doing so, they were responsive about keeping them away from our food garden. This year they came back to refill them.

I was very happy with their services. They were very very cooperative and made sure my rat infestation problem was gone. The person that came to take care of the problem was very knowledgeable and accommodating.

My building is serviced by American Pest for our common areas. The contract our management company negotiated included treatment for inside 3 units each month for "free"' (or $30 per unit after the 1st 3 units). I have had such treatment in the last 2 months, and I'm about to get treatment for the 3rd month. The agents have been nothing but courteous and helpful. They put down gel for the roaches and when I mentioned mice, the gentleman said the only thing he would do is put down traps anyway (ie no sealing of entryways using expert judgement since I have no sense of where they are coming in). Sadly, I am very experienced in putting down mouse traps. Now in the 3rd month of having my unit treated, I have better evidence of roaches in my unit (in the motels the agents left around), and I have just found the 2nd dead mouse in traps I set. Perhaps it's unfair to dock American Pest for not solving my mouse problem, but the agent said all he could do is lay traps. So even though I laid out the traps, I still have the problems I did 3 months ago: mice and roaches. The cost of the services is reasonable because it's already paid by the condo association. But the problem has not been solved, and I sensed no urgency on the part of agents to solve the problem. I think they just wanted to get the motions of the job done, not actually get rid of the pests.

So, far so good! The ants are gone from our bathroom. He stated that if they weren't gone by a certain time to give him a call. The thing that I really liked that he came the same day that I was looking for someone.

Pretty disappointed overall with my experience to have American Pest exterminate a bed bug issue. While they seemed knowledgeable, they kept getting my phone number wrong (despite me updating it several times), resulting in missed phone calls, the technician's arrived late the day of the heat treatment and didn't seem to have read the inspection report that was done the week prior. I had to ask to get the heat treatment report which they should have automatically sent to me. In reading it, they said the technician's were there from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm (which is not true). Again, they arrived late and left much earlier than the 5:30 pm indicated on the report. They also do not guarantee their work for row homes - I knew this going into it and accepted that - however, it's a very pricey treatment and to not even guarantee one week is in my opinion, poor business. Not only that, I've continued to get bites and I don't believe the heat treatment worked. Save your money and find another company.

It is a year later and no sight of any bedbugs. I will add that I also had separate series of pesticide treatment done by a friend who was an exterminator just to be safe since the home had infestation of not only bedbugs but other pests. I wasn't sure if pesticide treatment would be efficient, so I had the heat treatment done by American Pest.

We had a great experience both times. The person who answered the phone was very knowledgeable and took the time to educate us about the pests we were dealing with, and the people who came out to our house were very professional and also spent time educating us. The first time American Pest helped us, the bees were not eradicated after the first try, so they came back at no additional cost and treated our house again -- which worked. The most recent spraying was very effective.

It's going well. I use them on a monthly basis and they are very professional. They even came back out, no charge, after our week long rain spout to re-apply the spray. Their services have definitely reduced findings in the bugs around my house. They have reminder calls 3 days prior and the day prior to ensure that you are aware of them spraying so if you have animals, you'll know when to keep them away from the sprayed area for about 3 hours. If they have to reschedule, like on the rainy week, you will receive those calls as well. They ensure you are always in the know of when they are coming out, which I absolutely appreciate. I was home one day they arrived, and the technician knocked on my door and asked if I had a dog. He gave me the opportunity to allow him to go out before he started to spray. Very, very professional.

This has worked well so far. I have noticed a difference in the mosquitoes and ticks. We were told it would take full effect in 10 days and seems to have done exactly that.

It wen't great. They called me back after I sent them a note in Angie's List. We scheduled a visit. The representative was kind, respectful, and not pushy. Once I decided it was time to install the poison I called them to set up an appointment. They found me a slot that worked. And they showed up when they said they would. The installer was kind and respectful. I'm really happy with their service.

Everything went according to plan. One caution if you are sensitive to bug sprays in general, plan to be out of your house for at least 48 hours. I had some side effects from the 3 spray sessions.

Our tech Augustine Takyi visited our home four times to fully exterminate the bugs. 1. He examined the kitchen and dining room to determine how bad the infestation was. We had not cleaned out our cabinets, so he was limited in what spraying he could do. Nevertheless, it was highly effective, and a massive die-off occurred. 2. Second visit: major spraying (though not too bad smelling) plus he sealed up so many spaces where the bugs could hide, including stuffing mesh in some tiny gaps between the cabinets. More dying, but less so. 3. Third visit: we saw two bugs before this one. A little more spraying. 4. Final visit: all clear. No more roaches at all! He only found a few "normal" bugs in the basement, like spiders and a centipede. Augustine was on time for every appointment. He was very professional, communicated his concerns, and gave us clear instructions on what he needed us to do (when to empty the cabinets, when we could re-fill them, etc). And best of all, our home is bug-free again!

First of all the customer service was excellent. I spoke with Susan who was very knowledgeable and patiently explained the treatment options and answered all questions. Irvin did the initial inspection he was very through looking in closets and identified the pest I had. John was the tech. who performed the service he was on time real nice guy he did treatment in and outside . The office quickly followed up with a report of what was done .
