American Pest

We discovered bedbugs in our home on a Sunday night, found American Pest on Angie's List and contacted them Monday morning. They were extremely responsive and understanding of the disgusting situation we found ourselves in. We were able to schedule a canine inspection for the following day (Tuesday) and also schedule treatment for that same Friday. The customer service provided by everyone we came in contact with from American was exceptional!! Each one acknowledged our awful situation, explained what our options were for dealing with it (interim pre-treatment and post-treatment also). We had already seen the bed bugs but wanted the canine inspection to narrow down the area of infestation. Luckily it was only in two of our three bedrooms and all on the second floor so the major treatment could be contained there. The canine inspection was very interesting and I believe thorough. The handler explained the process before she brought the dog in and then went about the inspection. The dog alerted in a room where we didn't find any bugs but it was explained that even an egg or previous presence could have been the reason. That second area would have not been treated if I had relied only on the visual inspection - the cost was well worth it!!! The treatment went very smoothly as well. I chose the more costly heat treatment because it kills the eggs as well - I didn't want to risk missing ANY of the horrible creatures. We were provided very detailed guidance on what to do to try and contain the area of infestation while we were waiting for the treatment. Once the day arrived the technicians arrived on time and ready to get to work. They had me tour the house with them and explained what would occur in my absence (the homeowner cannot be present once the treatment starts). They even asked if the neighbors knew since some people are sensitive to others knowing they were being treated for bed bugs. I appreciated the question and assured them I had told a few and didn't mind if the others knew - the more that are educated the better in my mind! I left them to it. The heat treatment was performed on the 2nd floor and the 1st floor was chemically treated. I returned at the designated time (6-8 hours later) and found the second floor items in disarray but bug-free. I was warned this would be the case in order to get to the bugs so I was totally fine with it. We also had our country house inspected by the canine - which a bit out of American's range but they were able to accommodate us due to the circumstances. Thankfully that house was bed bug free so no treatment was necessary. I also paid to have a follow-up canine inspection 6 weeks later to ensure we were totally bug free (we were). The extra expense was worth the peace of mind it provided.

These guys are amazing. We called because we had found some of our hardwood floor had been damaged by termites. They came out within 2 hours and hooked us up with a bunch of stuff, for a very reasonable price. We ended up going with a bimonthly plan because it's $60 a month, and gets us service for ants, termites, carpenter bees, mosquitoes, etc. It was way cheaper to do the plan than pay for everything separately. Anyway, they did great, and I would highly recommended them to anyone with pest control issues.

The office staff were very professional and knowledgeable - no high pressure sales pitch. There have been several different technicians out to do treatments and each one is so very nice. Not just professional and efficient, but genuinely nice guys! They take the job quite seriously and do a thorough inspection and treatment. It has definitely cut down on the spiders! Highly recommend this company.

Noticed a small possible wasp nest on the brick right above my front door. Was unsure though and called American Pest. Spoke to Ben who offered to look at pictures that I could email him. Called back within minutes and shared his thoughts. Appreciated most that he was completely up front that it wasn't something that necessarily needed to be removed, reviewed reasons to do it and not to do it - really helpful. Will update this if we have it removed but will definitely be calling them to do it.

They are excellent. They are very professional and a very good company. They were right on time.

As usual, very well. Ward's professionals are reliable, knowledgeable and personable. We have been using Ward's for over 15 years and would not change. Not only have they helped us cope with the occasional mouse, but they have provided useful tips on preventing any problems. I recall one Ward's technician took it upon himself, at a winter day's end, to patch a small gap he found between our roof and exterior wall. Talk about above and beyond!

When Mr Ward initially stopped by to provide an estimate, it was clear that he was extremely knowledgeable on the latest options for termite treatment, and kept up-to-date on the latest academic research in the field. More to the point, he offered only to provide us with a permanent treatment, rather than use a system which would need routine monitoring and a service agreement. He then provided an estimate quickly, which was very reasonable, and the company scheduled the treatment on a day most convenient to us. The work crew showed up promptly when promised, worked very quickly, and very considerately replaced everything outside back exactly as it was. We would call Ward immediately for any pest control problem we have in the future. They were excellent.

The provider inspected my basement inside and out, meticulously, and educated me about how to spot problems myself in the future. He did not charge me because he found no immediate issues to be dealt with. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous.

The serviceman Matt called prior to arrival and was very punctual. He showed great patience in hearing experiences from this past summer and issues that we recently noticed. He provided explanations on the behavior of the insects seen, which further explained the treatments that would be used. I didn't feel that he "rushed" through and around our home, just to quickly spray and leave. Rather, he looked in areas that I had not thought about and tried to ensure we didn't have unknown problems. Finally, I was very appreciative, that Matt took the time to get rid of some wasp (and their nest) that were around the front door. We didn't even realize they were there, but they chose to show themselves when he arrived. Matt took a picture to get the identity, and took care of the surprise problem before he left. I will definitely recommend this company to other as we prepare for the summer months! And the on-line account providing a summary report and billing information is a great tool.

American Pest has been to my house on a few occasions, and everyone has been punctual, professional, and knowledgeable. On this occasion, they removed a dead squirrel from a space that was difficult to access, and they did so quickly and without making much of a mess (and they helped me clean up the mess that was inevitable). The price was very reasonable for the work that was done, and the technicians were helpful and personable. We also had a problem with cockroaches in the kitchen, and after American Pest treated my home, I have not seen a single one. They performed a thorough inspection of my home aimed at finding ways that any kind of pest could enter or infest and gave me some good advice. I will continue to use this company in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

They are reliable, friendly and responsive. They are professional and clean. They are not creepy.

I called American Pest to solve a termite problem. Sean came the following morning (today) and diagnosed my problem as water damage....no termites. He was courteous and professional and I appreciate the quick response of American Pest to my concern. If I do eventually develop a termite problem, I will call American Pest immediately.

Ward came and knew exactly what to do about the ants invading the kitchen. They ants were gone immediately. When a few reappeared a couple of weeks later, we called and Ward came right away. The original work was guaranteed so there was no additional charge. The ants now seem to be gone for good.

We have had the regularly scheduled service for the last 6 months. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable. We had a bad roach infestation and it was taken care of quite quickly, as predicted by the technician. So far, no complaints!

They were punctual, professional, and helpful. The $75 for putting a ladder up on the house (they needed to get about 12 feet up) seemed a bit steep, but they told us in advance of the service call, so we were aware. We were very pleased with the service provided and will use them again if needed.

The provider went over the top to try and sell me on closing "points of entry" which included bringing in teams with hazmat suits to both me and my neighbors house! As well as getting contractors in to redue floors, walls etc.

They're very thorough. They took care of the problem the first time around. They always show up on time the way it was scheduled. I was really happy.

Great! Ricardo was my tech. He was nice and very professional. He gave me some pointers on how to get rid of the mice. After the initial service call he came back a few weeks later to check the traps to make sure that there was no activity.
