Description of Work: For initial service: easy to make an appointment. They showed up when scheduled. Technician convinced me that an annual plan was to my advantage. Had to use "free callback" service to totally get rid of ants and yellow jackets. First tech failed to locate and destroy yellow jacket nest. Regular scheduled visits since have been no problem. Happy with the service so far.

As scheduled, the second representative from Ward came and did an excellent job, explaining what was done and answered our questions. | |I strongly recommend this company and would use them again.

Description of Work: Treated for the rat problem we had. |American Pest is probably great for preventative services, but I found them to be not so great when you only have one problem you need addressed. They kept pushing their annual retainer program each time I spoke with the rep, they had to come back and retreat twice more and each time I'd get a different tech and it was pretty obvious none of them communicated with each other about the issue or left notes for each other at least, after one of the visits I found my screen on my screened in porch to have been cut with a sharp object in order to gain ability to open the door for the same, now I wasn't at home during this time so I can't be certain it was the AP tech that did this, but given that I found this damage done a few hours after the visit is pointing it may have been the tech (this porch is in the back and not visible from the street and I haven't had any instances where people would come in my back yard uninvited). |Now it is important to say that I did have one good tech during their visits (the second treatment visit), he managed to fix the mistakes that the first tech did and after this visit the rats were almost all gone.

Description of Work: I called American Pest because of an ant problem but they wound up treating so much more. Great conversation with the main office and the tech who came to the house was incredibly punctual, courteous, extremely knowledgeable/excited about his work. Happy to say I no longer share the house with ants or any other insects!

Description of Work: I called for a check for a mouse that I found in my house a week or so earlier. They performed a 15 min check of the entire basement including the area where he suspected the pest might have entered. He thought the rat might have climbed through the walls from another person's house looking for food, and went away. He didn't recommend any treatments, because there were no droppings anywhere to be found (no infestation). Best of all, he didn't charge anything for his look around the house. His advice turned out to be correct as we haven't seen any mice since (it's been 3months since having the service performed as of this review) And hopefully it will stay that way! I would recommend them. Seemed to be more interested in solving the problem than in signing us up for any other services that we ultimately would not have needed.

Description of Work: They created a one way door which let the squirrel out but not back in, and then replaced the door with a permanent seal so other critters can't get in.

Description of Work: During the first visit by Ward Pest Contol, they inspected the attic and crawl space for signs of pests and any access pests might have to my home. During that and a follow-up visit (necessited by a lack of materials during the first visit), they placed wire netting across two crawl space air vents,one of which fell off shortley thereafter, and placed two snap traps in the crawl space. |Five months later I found that an animal had gotten into the crawl space and ripped out much of the insulation under the floor. Ward Pest Control said they could not come by my home to correct the problem for 5 days and then cancelled that appointment at the last minute. |Later in the day of the cancelled appointment, after I had registered my unhappiness with Ward Pest Control's lack of professionalism, an employee came by and repaired a hole in the house foundation through which the animal had gained access to the crawl space. The employee said he would not charge me for the job to compensate for the poor service I had received. However, Ward Pest Control sent me a bill for the work, which they annulled several months later after I submitted an offical letter of complaint.

Description of Work: Regular pest control visit. They laid traps for ants, inspected inside and outside, addressed concerns.

Description of Work: We had a problem with mice getting into pantries and eating through food containers. They were very destructive and filthy. Ward's representative was professional, looked at the locations they frequented and then searched for their points of entry. He put mesh wiring in cracks and placed traps at specific interior locations. We found many mice in traps so he came back to re-visit, at no cost, for any points of entry he may have missed. We have dogs so we were pleased no chemicals were required for this process. Thank you Ward's.

Description of Work: We've been using this company for years. They provide consistent, high-quality service. Since we started using American Pest we have had far fewer pest problems, and the few that we've had have been addressed within days.

Description of Work: I had discovered sawdust on my deck, and called for someone to come and check. The technician told me I had carpenter bees, told me how to treat it, and told me to call him back if they problem recurred. Very professional and courteous service. I was glad I didn't have a serious problem. I will definitely contact Ward again if I need service for pest control.
