Description of Work: We saw carpenter ants in my daughters bedroom and wanted them eradicated. We called American Pest and was dealt with in a professional and prompt manner. Ron the technician came out and examined the problem and explained what he was going to do. We were very satisfied by his professionalism, frankness, and promptness.

Description of Work: They set traps in the crawlspace to catch a few rats. They also sealed some cracks in the foundation to help keep rodents out in the future. They also got rid of some squirrels that were in the attack.

Description of Work: Steve came out for initial inspection and recommendation. He was very informed on subject that I called about (stink bugs)and educated me on other bug threats. I appreciated the information he delivered and how he delivered it. They will come back to due treatment when it was convenient for our family. I would recommend the company.

Description of Work: The goal was to exterminate a host of ants both inside and out of the house. The first technician hit only some spots in the basement, kitchen, and side porch. The second technician was very thorough and enthusiastic about the job, explaining what he was doing. On two subsequent visits he and a colleague on the 4th visit completed the job. Unless the ants that infested the kitchen went into hibernation due to the cooler weather the ants are gone.

Description of Work: Pest control......exterminators came over at the appointed time, assessed the situation and set traps. It worked! Very professional, competent! will use this company in the future (hopefully, I won't have to).

Description of Work: Pest extermination outside. Our neighborhood has a bad problem with ants. AP exterminated outdoors and it eliminated the ants inside my house. Extremely effective. The tech located where the ants were entering the house and followed them to their different ant hills and got rid of all of them. No chemicals used inside the home.

Description of Work: I live on a street w/2 Chinese carry-outs, I feed feral cats in the trap, neuter-release program in DC so I have rats a go go . When they decided to live inside my house - despite 4 sissy cats also residing here.. I sought professional help. American Pest now services this site regularly. They are pleasant and efficient and they phone ahead to remind me.. Their bait traps had no effect on the baby raccoons and opossums and cats that eat on my back porch.. Funny thing the critters leave when they are grown.. They remember me when they start their families. Great Service! The cost is approximate .. I don't remember and I am too busy to search for the receipts.. They are not expensive..truly .This format does not allow me to state that they started about 3 months ago and come back every month.

Description of Work: This company is outstanding. Because we needed immediate service, the company made an exception and serviced us on a Saturday, which is not normally a working day for them. Very polite, efficient and yes, a pleasure.

Description of Work: We contacted the company to seek information about treatment of powder post beetle infestation. While they did not perform the service for us, they were extremely generous with their advice and their time, and very responsive.

Description of Work: The owner came to my home to give me an estimate. He explained exactly what the problem was and told me he could go ahead and deal with it then for $80, which was more than reasonable. He also told me if his treatment didn't work (and it did precisely as he explained it would) he would come back and deal with it. The stuff he used also was non-toxic which was greatly appreciated.

Description of Work: I had birds in my fireplace flue--during the weekend, when it is apparently really hard to get anyone from a pest company to come out. They responded fast to my phone message, a tech got in touch with me almost immediately and came out within 90 minutes to deal with the problem. He was pleasant, clean (put little paper booties on the moment he entered the house), and quickly removed the birds. Definitely good response and I believe a reasonable price for an emergency call.

Description of Work: Ward Pest Control said they would come at a certain time on a certain day. After two hours of waiting they called to say they had to reschedule. They set a time for the following day and didn't show then either. When I finally called them, they were very apologetic and said they would send someone out right away....but by that point I had called another company. There may have been a misunderstanding re the second appointment.
