The price was competative. The quality of the window was good. The workers who installed the windows were not great, but it was minor. They were overall good. They said it would take 4 weeks, but it ended up being 6.

I had some difficulty getting them to follow up after the job was complete for some issues that arose when the roof was put on. It was very challenging. Several neighbors and I had roofs done at the same time and they too had some challenges. Several people in the neighborhood and I researched a bunch of different companies and got different quotes and they appeared to be the best choice. The cleanup in the yard and the areas was less. I had a roofing nail go through my brand new tires of my car and my neighbor who didn't have his roof replaced had two nails in his car tire. I'm still finding nails at my backyard a year later. There was damage to the gutters which they said that may or may not be done by the painter. They said that they will have it fixed but I gave up on that. There was a leak after the earthquake here and they insisted that it was damage from the earthquake into the chimney. I said that never could be but I wanted them to look at the roof because my old roof had a problem. It took me about four months to get them out here to look at it and I just wanted them to evaluate it. I would not recommend them because their follow up was poor and other neighbors complained about an individual being rude. They did have good report and there wasn't anything that I could find that would have not let me go towards them. They were not very expensive. The initial price they quoted us, they came back and said it's not going to be that and they can't do it for that much so we knew the price upfront. They were responsive until I paid them. They were punctual before they got paid and when they were putting the roof in but after that, they weren't.

There's a reason why these guys have straight A's--their customer service and attentiveness are superb, their crews do immaculate work, and their prices are very competitive. Steve (owner) and Matt (project coordinator) came to my house to give me an estimate. They took a great deal of time to explain what I needed and why, and broke down everything the warranty covers. They provided my second estimate, and though the first company (Marshall, I think) offered a similar estimate for the same services, I decided to go with American Home Contractors because they seemed to care more about me as a customer, and I was familiar with their work since my next door neighbor hired them for her roof job. They sent a crew out to the house who removed all the shingles, fought off wasps, and worked all day in the 90-degree heat to install a ridge vent, smart vent, skylights, and new roof. When I drive home from work everyday, I enjoy looking at the roof (not so much the rest of the house) because it looks so great. The roof makes the house look like it's worth more. These guys were meticulous, polite, and dedicated. I want to hire the company to replace the siding when I save up enough for it because they've proven to me that they can transform a house and make it look like a million bucks. Furthermore, they are truly dedicated to making sure the customer is satisfied, which isn't a priority for enough companies anymore.

It was a good value. Their rates were lower than any other the other estimates we had. The work was not done as quickly as I would have hoped. If there was a forecast of rain they didn't show.

They were wonderful and they did it at a good price. They seemed flexible. If I had to be out and wasn’t going to be at my house, they would work something out. I had initially told them that I wouldn’t be at home when they come out. So they had worked out a way where they didn’t have to come in. After they set it up, I was going to leave at a certain point and they worked it out, so they didn’t have to come in. They were very neat and very punctual. They were very courteous and careful with my stuff and moved things away. They gave me some advice about popping my screens back in unless I was really going to open my windows, because it made my house look brighter and it did. We will use their services again in the future.

Hired to install 7 new windows. Very competitive price and quality was acceptable. Pros: - good price - got to job quickly, installed in one day - professional - followed up and came by to fix problem with window a few months later w/out charge. Cons: - salesman was aggressive and a bit pushy - did not clean up after themselves - did not follow lead safe practices as asked to (it is an old house with lead paint), left paint chips on the floor and hanging loosely from the trim I would consider them again, but I would definitely check some other contractors before I hired them.

We had used them for roofing on a rental property that we have a couple of years ago. They did a very nice job. We were very impressed with the service. When we got the quote this fall, we used the same sales person and he didn't seem to be responding very quickly in getting it done. He didn't seem to understand what we wanted in the bid. That was the reason why we did not go to him. Siding was $12000 to $14000. I don't remember how much windows cost was. I will consider using them again in the future.

American came out and did a good job, they were responsive to us. I have had no problems with the windows.

Outstanding from start to finish. The schedule took a little longer than planned -- because of rainy weather.

It went like a dream. Josh, the salesguy, the first person I met, was great- the right balance of knowledge, professionalism, with an overall great personality. Hey beat a competitor's price for the exact same product and only required a $100 deposit. I was a little nervous, since this is a large purchase so I called and spoke to Steve, the president. He assured me I would be 110% satisfied, and suggested I check BBB and their MHIC license, which I did and everything was A+, just as he said. Then, CJ came and measured all the windows and doors and within 2 weeks my windows were in! These guys worked ALL DAY and into the night installing my windows and doors and did a phenomenal job! I would highly recommend them to anyone interested in having energy-efficient windows.

I got three quotes from different companies, and they gave me the first quote. I looked for them on Angie’s list but got a quote from a different company. They explained what they were going to do and gave me an option of putting 6 inch gutters instead of the normal 5 inch one. They told me that they will finish the work fast. I am quite satisfied with the job done. I think the work was done by subcontractors but they did a good job. They did the job very fast and I am very pleased with them.

They were really good. The guy was really nice and helpful. They did the work and cleaned up afterward really well. I would hire them again if I had any problems or a place I needed to roof. I have a 30 year warranty that includes their labor.

Company rep was helpful on site, but never followed up by e-mailing a quote.

Josh, and Steve did a fantastic job handling everything from order placement to presentation to installation to billing. I debated going with several different companies after having done my research on such a huge purchase, and I can say that with a small or large window replacement order, I highly recommend these guys. The install crew was even faster than the one-day install time estimated. They found me the right product at the right price. A mere $100 was all that was due up front to place an order of any size, with the balance payable upon delivery of the windows. The product looked sharp, the cleanup was good, professionalism was good, and realize these guys had a tougher time on my windows than they would on most jobs due to my old style frame inside the brick. First rate all the way. Realize they've moved to downtown Laurel.

This company is the best. We called over 25 contractors and only 3 would give us quotes given the "limited scope" of the work. Most contractors weren't interested, didn't return our calls or failed to show up to appointments even when the scope of work was explained. This company was not only willing to do the work, but worked directly with our insurance company to help get our claim resolved. They even met with the insurance adjuster. The work was very well done, the prices reasonable and the customer service outstanding. Our salesman, Jon Parker, went out of his way to help us and was always prompt in responding to us. He followed up throughout the project. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again or recommend them. Outstanding in every way!!!!
