He provided a good report, with pictures, on the condition of my aging roof and made some minor, but important repairs. He did not try to sell me a new roof but advised that it would need replacing in a few years, but was ok for now. I appreciated the honest evaluation and the repairs to keep it "going" for a while longer.

I purchased the premium roof tune-up service. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and the service was delivered promptly and as I expected. Steffan, the worker who performed the service, was excellent. He was professional, courteous and very thorough. We inspected my roof together and he provided me with pictures and video after the work was completed to confirm that all issues were addressed to my satisfaction. I was very satisfied with my overall experience and would use this company again.

I bought this service from Angies List's "Great Deal" special. The appointment was easy to schedule and everything went smooth from the very beginning with American Home Contractors. The serviceman, David Silverstein, came on time. He was very polite and professional. Before starting his job he explained me overall work included with this deal. David first started with attic inspection for quality of insulation including taking photos for documentation. Then he checked the doors, windows, siding for any potential damage and then went on the roof, cleaned the gutters and fixed/sealed/chalked the areas of problems of my roof. He showed me the photos of potential spots that were in need of repair and after the repair was done, and the areas that need additional attention. I liked the way David explained to me all that he did and things that still should be done. Thank you for excellent job. I am very pleased with this service and the deal. I would recommend this company to any Angie's List customer.

I bought this service from Angie's List's "Great Deal" special. Well worth it. The serviceman, David Silverstein, was punctual and very professional. He went over the outside of the roof, tuning up what he could. He also went up into the attic to check things there. I especially like the photos he took of everything and visually explained to me all that he did and things that still should be done. There was no high-pressure at all; just factual and visual evidence of what should be done that he could not do. The rest was up to me. Thank you. I would recommend this company to everyone.

The appointment was easy to schedule and everything went smooth from the very start with American Home Contractors. Dave come out for the roof inspection and first started with the attic inspection including taking photos of the trouble areas for documentation. Next he surveyed the roof for missing roof tabs and repair those including chalking them done. More photos were taken to show me areas that need additional attention. He reviewed all the work showing me all the photos and documentation for the work completed today. Dave did a very professional, honest, through and excellent job. Stefan showed up on time and proceeded to inspect the underside of the roof from the attic. He explained to me his findings regarding insulation, etc. He then went onto the roof and sealed around the plumbing vent, and replaced a few shingles where Directv had damaged my roof when removing the satellite dish. I was happy with the service.

The morning of the visit, I was contacted by the company because of an emergency at another location and asked if I would mind pushing my visit back by a few hours. I was very pleased that they contacted me and informed me of the delay rather than letting me sit there waiting and becoming more frustrated that they did not show up on time. At the appointed time, the two workers, Dave and Stefan, showed up. I was very pleased with their professionalism and willingness to work around the chaos in my home subsequent to a few pipes bursting and causing a significant amount of damage that was still awaiting repairs. They proceeded to examine the roof both inside and out and performed a few minor repairs as well as completing a detailed inspection of the roof. Once they were finished, they gave me a thorough report and recommended a few areas that I may want to keep an eye on for future repairs or upgrades. They were very personable and friendly and did a wonderful job in finding the minor areas they could fix right then. Thankfully I did not have any major repairs needed, but I would absolutely call upon them to perform any future work.

Two workers came. They were very polite and courteous. They inspected my attic for quality of insullation, windows for air leaks and then went on the roof. They repaired some shingles and sealed some areas that had caused a leak into my attic. They were very thorough and showed me pictures of the areas that were in need of repair and after the repair was done. I am very pleased with this service and the deal.

American Home Contractors responded promptly when I called them for service. A representative came to my house and briefly explained the products we could use for our roof and offered us a no-hassle price considerably less than we had heard from other companies for an identical roof. Financing was simple to set up. Due to weather complications, the installation had to be moved three times, but each time the company was very good about communication. When the roof was ultimately put on, everything looked great! The owner came to my house 3 times the day of installation to make sure everything went smoothly and met with me to review financing guidelines. A very positive experience all around despite the bad weather! We are very happy with our new roof.

The repairs was done in a very very professional manner . I contacted this company to repair a small leak in my 3 year old roof. The representative came out to look at the roof. He explained to me the reason for the leak and what need to be done to correct the problem. I was given an estimate of what it would cost to correct the problem. Previously my home insurance had inspected the roof and determined it would cost less than my deductible to repair the roof, so it was to my advantage to have the repairs done without dealing with my home insurance. The estimate from American Home Contractors was less than the estimate giving from my home insurance company. The work was done on the day I was told it would be done. I did not have to pay upfront which I was prepared to do, also I would like to say it was easy dealing with every one I spoke to either by phone or in person, because I could understand every person I came in contact with.

It went very well. Their price was the most reasonable of all the estimates I received. They were prompt and cleaned up everything very well. I would recommend them.

I remain overwhelmed that a company can present themselves as professionals, take $20,000.00 from me, and leave the job unfinished where water continues to leak (no flashings installed), and if that alone weren't enough, they put a hole in the siding of my home. The house is 30 years old. I will never be able to match the siding. This company has my money and left me in a worse place than before. Be very careful and never pay before the job is complete. One of the worst experiences I've ever had using a contractor.

On two different occassions they sent the wrong windows. I never got to speak to the person in charge. It was not totally the contractor's fault, however the workmen did not show up on time. They didn't clean up. The quality of the work was not good. The windows needed to be repainted. The salesman himself was a nice guy that did everything he could to try and help.

Proposed a good product., but it exceeded what we needed. Cost was in line with product, but more than we expected to pay for the product. We would choose this company if we were going to do the main part of the hours.

The crew arrived promptly at 7 AM and were finished and cleaned up by 3-4 PM on the same day. Very efficient operation.

They seem like great people but I wanted somebody close if I had an issue. He came out and did the outside measurement. All of our windows measure the same but he checked it out just to make sure. He was a very nice young man pushing to get some work. His presentation is very good. Their punctuality was great. They were right here right on the time. The young man that was here was very professional. They have a competitive price.

They did an excellent job. We have absolutely no complaints about their service. The work was completed on time and everything was cleaned up after the job was complete. We are very happy with the quality of work. We thought the price was very reasonable and we will probably hire them again in the future.

This company provided repair services to repair our house after damage caused by a tree hitting the house during the derecho storm which hit the DC area on June 30 2012. There was extensive damage to half the roof, plus interior damage including the collapse of the living room/dining room ceiling due to the tree's impact. A representative of the company, who just happened to be in the neighborhood at the time, stopped by and examined the situation and set up appointments for experts to come out and give us estimates for the costs of repairs and timing for the repairs to begin (thanks Matt!) To make a long story short, it was necessary to remove the roof from half the house to make it possible to replace the seven or eight roof struts damaged by the tree. Once repairs began, the work proceeded smoothly and was done professionally by all the workers involved - some crews even worked well into the evening (10 or 11 PM) to complete the steps needing to be finished before the next morning. The work involved strut and roof replacement, interior ceiling replacement and wall repair (dry wall work), painting, and electrical work. We are very pleased with the results - we included some upgrades which the insurance company would not cover (understandable) but to insure the integrity of the roof the entire roof had to be replaced to insure the shingles interacted properly but more importantly, so we wouldn't have a two-tone roof (due to color lots having slight differences in color). Since the insurance adjusters didn't agree to cover the entire cost of replacing the roof, the company owners have offered to go to arbitration with me to try to recover the funds. Overall, a great company to do business with, and, if you ever just want a roof replaced, go with this company - much better rates to do the work and to get a top-of-the-line shingle to do the job. Five stars and A+'s all round.
