Howard did a very thorough job. Took care of a loose gutter and cleaned out a blocked downspout. I was very pleased with receiving pictures back on my roof, both outside and inside. The existing roof is 23 years old and in need of replacing so I was not surprised. My neighbor used American Home Contractors for their new roof and are very satisfied. I will certainly be calling them for an estimate in the near future.

The inspection and minor fixes went very well. The service person Marc B. was really good of exampling the problems with the roof and had pictures to show the before and after of the problems that he fixed. After listening to his description of the problems I am now working to get an estimate for a roof replacement.

Mark was the tech for the roof tune-up. Appt. was scheduled for 10:30 & he called prior to that to let me know he was going to be late & would be here in 30-60 minutes which he was. He did an inspection & some minor repairs to the roof that he could do. He contacted his office while here and I was able to set up another appt. with an estimator for the following Monday to go over the cost of a new roof. So far everyone that I have dealt with at this company has been very helpful & professional.

The technician, Howard Shires, was fantastic! Very professional and thorough. He cleaned the gutters, inspected them, and fastened down a loose gutter guard. His inspection of the gutters, roof, attic, etc. was the most thorough I have ever seen. He provided a detailed review and photos of all areas (not just potential problem areas, but areas where there were no issues). He made sure I understood all the things he was showing. I was very impressed! When I need any future repairs done on gutters, roof, or siding, I will absolutely use American Home Contractors!

Marc B. Was the technician that came out. Though he couldn't do the roof tune up due to the pitch, he was still awesome. He explained a lots of technical things to me regarding what is involved in getting a new roof. He went over the entire process with me in lay mans terms. He even replaced a missing shingle in my shed!

Howard Shires came for the inspection. He was very courteous but more importantly, he was very knowledgable. He gave me a full sit down verbal report so that I could understand the condition of the roofs, the wood, the gutters and gutter guards. He helped me prioritize what should be done when - programming out the longer term larger expenses. He was not pushy on sales at all but more concerned with my understanding the structures. I now am comfortable with the status of the three buildings. Great job.

The service was great. Our technician did a very through job, was very polite, and put up with our new puppy who kept trying to play with him.

Marc performed a roof inspection, reviewing attic space and the roof from the front and back. He took pictures and explained all the details, minor repairs and necessary updates to the gutter, shingles and ridge vent. He was very knowledgeable about the roof capacity, types of shingles, possibility of water damage, and repairs needed, and was extremely pleasant to work with. The estimate for the additional work recommended will be a separate process, but I was very satisfied with the visit today. Marc also called the office to get in touch with someone for me to schedule the estimate visit urgently since there is an active area of leaking. I would recommend him to my friends.

I purchased a coupon for a complete roof inspection and repair of up to four areas of damage on the roof. The worker inspected and photographed an area, which turned out to be a hole in the siding, which was causing major leaks. He proceeded to fix the areas around the satellite dish, which was the reason for the call in the first place. He was quick, thorough, neat, and professional. We will definitely call to schedule an appointment for the remaining damage to be fixed.

I'm not easily impressed but Mark exceeded expectations. He was on time and did a thorough job on everything. His knowledge and skills were impressive. I have confidence in American Home Contractors and know that calling them for other work will result in a job well done.

Excellent customer service. Tech arrived right on time, was very detailed and honest with his evaluation. Provided before and after pictures and all services and explained all concerns.

The men called to ask if it would be convenient to arrive early and that was fine with me. I had also received a call the day before to confirm the appointment. The men were punctual, professional and friendly. Some of my gutters were clogged from the bottom up due to vines growing up inside of them. This was handled very well even though they were really packed inside of the gutter. Then there was an encounter with a wasp building a nest. They kept their cool. I will definitely keep the name of this company and use their service in the future. This Big Deal actually includes $250.00 credit for the future.

The technician, Howard, had a cancellation and called to ask if he could arrive early which was helpful. He arrived promptly, we discussed the issues that needed attention, and he did the work in reasonable time. The mess from the gutters was dealt with as he went, and all debris was gone when he finished. He noted some minor issues with my gutters and roof that should be tended to as well. Overall, the service was precisely what I was looking for, and performed in a superior fashion.

We requested American Home Contractors (AHC) to perform an initial roof inspection and repair. Our home is 20 years old, but the original roof workmanship was not good and we had been seeing signs each year that we may be in need of a replacement. Dave with AHC came out to perform a detailed inspection highlighting issues that other roofing companies had pointed out and went into further detail documenting and taking photographs of roof issues that others had never identified. While he was there, he fixed two minor leak issues also to get us watertight again. We arranged to meet with ANC's salesperson - Josh - and at the same time requested pricing from other roofing companies that were also highly recommended. We have a 40 square roof and pricing ranged between $350 and $500 from various roofers and some truly didn't impress us. Josh was very professional and ANC pricing wasn't the lowest, but they were able to be very competitive and offer a slightly newer architectural shingle for that price. I'm a commercial construction manager and engineer and I was also impressed with the GAF required installation process that I felt offers added protection in the most vulnerable areas of the roof. Materials were delivered by GAF and set directly on the peak of our roof and Nelson and his crew totaling 7 showed up the following day. Very professional work and all was done in 2 days as promised. All hedges around the house were protected before work started. Nelson and his crew completely cleaned up, checked the entire house perimeter for nails in the grass with large magnets. We had a windy first day which unfortunately caused some shingles to fly back and tear a few window screens. Josh had their service person come out the week after they finished. He removed repaired and replaced all screens that were torn. No questions asked. No request was ever made for payment until everything was done and they knew we had no further questions. I was very impressed.

Howard, from American Home Contractors, Inc., arrived at the scheduled time for the appointment. Following the inspection, he provided a thorough explanation - which also included photos of the roof, shingles, and siding. He was also able to repair several shingles that had become loose.

Howard was terrific. He was only a little late but apologized (traffic). He started by looking in my attic and then moved to the roof; he took photos and showed me exactly the condition of the gutters and roof every step. In the end, the problem I was having was due to the gutter guards, not the gutters. Thus, the fix was an easy one and (in my view) did not warrant the $125 cost. Still, he gave me some recommendations beyond the gutter issue. He was courteous, professional, thorough, and helpful.

It went well. Howard gave me a straight answer on my roof. He also made a few on the spot repairs. I enjoyed working with him.

I am very satisfied with American Home Contractors and their Roof Technician Howard Shires. I am so glad I took advantage of their Angie's List Big Deal for a gutter tune up. They contacted me quickly and I was able to get a convenient appointment . Howard was very personable. He was friendly and got to work quickly. He was focused on the job at hand and gave me a great assessment of the condition of my roof, attic and gutters. He seemed very honest to me...and let me know that the overall condition of all these items was very good?.and he explained why. I liked that. But I did need his services to clean out a big section of my gutter and down spouts, which he did. In addition he caulked all the corner joints of my gutters. He also made a few recommendations that I could do myself: remove, insulate and seal the attic fan to support the designed air flow of the soffits and ridge vent and replace the miscellaneous hardware used with zip screws to hold the downspouts in place against the house. He stayed engaged with me throughout, answering questions I had and letting me know what he was doing. He took pictures from the roof so I could see the condition of the gutters he cleaned out. The whole appt took a little over an hour. I felt more knowledgeable when he left and very satisfied that the Big Deal took care of exactly what my house needed.

To shingles had come off the roof. They were reinstalled without a problem.

First of all, I was impressed with the prompt response by the front office after I made my purchase, and the reminder emails and call prior to the appointment. Howard Shires was patient with me and answered all of my questions. The gutter cleaning came with a roof inspection. Howard provided clear pictures of the issues that needed my attention and helped me to schedule an estimate for those repairs. There was no pressure. I would use them again.

Howard Shires was very professional, prompt and provided good service. He was able to show me a crack in my chimney that I didnt know was there, He said my roof was in great condition and that it did not need to have any nails replaced or nail heads caulked and that the shingles were in good shape. .

It went well. They removed a bunch of damaged shingles and replaced them with shingles that were a very close match. The boss came by near the end of the work and reviewed their work. They had a few things to correct.

The gentleman was very thorough and showed us the photos he took of the work he completed and areas that we need further work on. They inspected the insulation as well since we mentioned our house is very drafty. They cleaned up after the work was done. While we suspected we needed a new roof, he did not pressure us but told us that the expectancy of the life of the room has expired and gave us the signs (loose gravel, soft spots, etc.). I would highly recommend this company.
