Went great. My technician, Marc, was very courteous and professional. He did all the work promised and took pictures. He walked me through the status of my roof, and made recommendations for future repairs. I appreciated his thoroughness in patching the various nail heads and seams he found. I would Highly Recommend.

Rodney went "above and beyond" in every sense. I'm very satisfied with the service and quality. Will definitely use again in the future.

The service man who arrived did a great inspection but was unable to access the roof due to the steep slope to work on the 10 shingles that needed to be fixed. There needed to be two people, and taller ladders. They refunded my money and did the inspection for free, and discussed helpful suggestions regarding my a/c in the attic space as well!

My technician was Howard Shires. He arrived on time and performed a thorough inspection of my attic, gutters and roof. I thought I might have a leak in my roof - Howard was able to determine that it was a leak in my HVAC system and not my roof. He performed a complete gutter tune-up and gave me a written report on my roof, gutters and attic. He was extremely professional and explained everything in great detail. I would definitely recommend this company based on Howard's excellent service.

The american home contractor office called me the day before to remind me of the appointment and ensure that it was still a good time. The day of the appointment the technician Howard arrived on time and started the inspection taking pictures of problem areas. He also asked me what problems I was experiencing if any. He found a collar that was deteriorated and fixed it taken a before and after pictures. Also took pictures of other problem areas that had problems and pictures after the fix . As part of the Inspection report he went through it explaining what problems he noticed and possible correction areas. I had many questions on the current roof technology . I asked and was answered on 1. what the difference of the 3d tab shingles vs the old asphalt shingles. 2. Also what had changed that the roofing was lasting more then 20 years. 3. Noticed that roofs that were changing isn,t always using the black felt and what the advantages of the new roofing technologies were. 4.Also discussed the venting options now available. It was very informative and answered many question on what I need to consider with a new roof. Howard was very professional and very informative on the questions I had. I was very happy with the service that I received

I noticed some water spots in the living room and one of the bedrooms that had gotten a bit larger in the last couple of months so I purchased a big deal for a roof inspection and minor repairs. While I had not anticipated an appointment the same week, I lucked out as they had a cancellation that worked with my schedule. Lauren was easy to work with and I like that they send a confirmation email when the appointment is set and call to confirm the day before coming out. Rodney arrived prior to the scheduled time which was fine with me. I showed him the two areas of concern, living room and front bedroom where the eaves start their slope. He then spent time in the attic, inspecting the sheathing and rafters. Then he moved outside to the roof, evaluating the condition of the shingles, plumbing pipe and gutters before coming back down to take a look at the windows and front door. Both inspections, inside and out, took about 45 minutes. I figured the leak in the living room was from the plumbing pipe which Rodney confirmed. What I was not expecting was to hear the previous vendor installed the collar backwards causing the leak. That same vendor had performed another repair for me but failed to overlap the shingles and instead, just butted the new shingles against the existing shingles. Rodney spent about 45 minutes correcting both problems; reinstalling the collar in the proper direction and overlapped the shingles to provide the necessary protection from the elements. He provided before and after photo's so I know the work was done right, the way the first vendor should have done it. Rodney went through the entire inspection list with me, explaining each item so I would understand what is was and why it was rated as a 1, 2 or 3. Sadly, getting a 1 is not a good thing and my roof had several. I had already resigned myself to the distinct possibility a new roof was in my future so the recommendation did not come as a surprise. While I was shocked and horrified at the subpar repairs provided by the previous vendor, I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Rodney and American Home Contractors.

Marc Burkett, the gutter tech who provided this service, was fantastic! He called me to let me know when he would arrive and then arrived on time. It is very important to me to be kept aware of the status of the service person rather than me sitting and waiting and not knowing when the person will arrive. Marc arrived and started the inspection immediately. He took photos of things that he inspected and then discussed the condition of my roof, gutters, downspouts and windows. He explained things that he noted and suggested some possible corrective actions. I felt that he was honest and gave me a fair assessment of the exterior condition of my house. I was concerned that my gutters might need to be replaced just because of their age but he said that even though they are old, they were still functional and I didn't have to worry about them at this time. I appreciated that kind of honesty. He did mention that I might want to consider more venting along my soffits so that there is better air flow through the attic. That was helpful info. I am very happy that I chose American Home Contractors to perform this gutter tune-up service. I will definitely contact them again when I need gutter, soffit, fascia work done or when I am ready to replace my windows. I would highly recommend this company and ask for Marc Burkett as your tech as he was exceptional. Thanks Marc for being punctual, professional and for giving explanations that were easy to understand.

The service was excellence. The technician inspected the attic and roof and took pictures on a cellphone. The technician showed me the photos and explained the various issues that need immediate attention and issues of the future that might occur if no action is taken. The technician then caulked gaps, nailed loose shingles, and patched small holes. The technician was very professional and courteous. I was satisfied with the quality of service and will recommend this contractor to neighbors and friends. P.S. the price was right and the estimate for the additional work was reasonable which I will be scheduling very soon.

The tune-up-tech (Mark Burkett) was punctual, courteous, efficient, explained iin detail everything that was done and why, and did a very good job from start to finish.

Marc inspected both roof and gutters and sealed vent pipes and flashings. I had squirrels in the soffits last spring, and Marc took some time to hang missing soffit covers. Technician answered some questions and was very informative and cooperative. He was courteous and respectful. He helped me choose what size ladder I need since I got rid of the 500lb monster ladder. Marc talked about the soffits and gutters and I knew they are older than me and in worse shape. And he saved me a trip to the roof just to know the antenna is rusted away. Recommended A+

Howard, the Technician, arrived right on time, and immediately went to Attic and gave thorough inspection, including the Attic Fan/Power Vent and showed the pictures and reviewed all that he saw and made recommendation for current and future maintenance in that area. He then proceeded to clean and adjust the gutters after discussing with me any concerns I had and getting true picture of the conditions present. He cleaned gutters and tightened and made adjustments where needed. again making recommendations for future maintenance and improvements. A thorough roof examination was made as well. He even reattached a section of vinyl siding that had come loose as a courtesy. Overall, I was completely satisfied with Howard's service, repairs and consulation, so much so that I requested American Home Contractors come back next week to give me a Roof and Window Estimate.

Very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable technician came out and went over my roof with a fine tooth comb and made sure that I was comfortable with the inspection and repair. Would recommend using again.

The technician, whose name was Marc, did an outstanding job of cleaning the gutters, making repairs (replacing screws, etc.) and leveling everything. he also cleaned up the roof. He made good recommendations for additional work, such as replacing my existing gutter guards, and took photos of problem areas on the roof to demonstrate what he was talking about. His employer should be proud of the work he does.

Rodney was AWESOME! He took the time to do a thorough inspection and take pictures. He was very professional and went above and beyond for us. He explained in great detail what needed to be done now and why and what could wait. I would use this company again because of how well Rodney represented them. If I could give him an A+ I would.

Howard Shires was very professional. He was friendly, arrived on time, listened to my concerns, inspected the roof and fixed the gutters. I would not hesitate to use his services again.

The technician Rodney Willey was early and said he was willing to wait if I wasn't ready. I had him start right away. He did the gutter cleaning, letting me know what he was finding and answering any questions I had. One gutter had been damaged in a storm so he took time to show me why it needed to be replaced in the near future. He also flushed this gutter with a water hose to be sure it was completely clear and clean. He made sure that there was no debris or trash left after he finished the gutter cleaning. He also took time to go over his report of the exterior inspection, which covered the roof, gutters, front door, windows and siding. I feel that I am more aware of how to prioritize future work on my home.

Very impressed with the service provided. Rodney arrived on time even early which was very convenient for us. Extremely knowledgable and answered all questions and concerns. Pointed out additional issues with chimney. Inspection report great with photos. Would use this provider again. 5 star service provided by Rodney.

MY UPDATE: The service that I purchased was part of an Angie's List Deal - $125 for a Premium Gutter Tune-up, Cleaning and $250 Credit. In my previous review, I overlooked that fact that no one actually showed up for the first appointment that was scheduled. I waited at home for hours. When I called the company, I was told that it mistakenly was never entered in their scheduling. I rescheduled and was pleased with the service, as written in my original review. However, when the representative from the company later came to discuss the repair work needed and presented me with the estimate, I was told that my work didn't qualify for the $250 credit (that I had purchased in the Angies's List Deal). He said that my repairs did not meet the minimum of $2,000 of work to qualify for the credit. And hadn't I received the coupon from, the person who had inspected and cleaned the gutters? Not only had I never received any such coupon, but also the Angie's List Deal said nothing about a minimum charge necessary to get the $250 credit. After reporting this confusion to Angie's List I eventually heard from a gentleman from American Home Contractors. There was a discussion and we agreed that the work would be done on my house and the original $125 would be credited to the price. He said I would hear back from them shortly. It's approximately 4 months later and I have heard nothing from American Home Contractors. I am extremely disappointed not only with the inaccuracy of American Home Contractors' wording in the deal (including the fine print), but also their lack of response. American Home Contractors sent their technician, Rodney Willey, to clean and inspect the gutters on my house as well as well as pay special attention to one large gutter that I knew was in disrepair. Rodney was punctual (in fact, early), well spoken, and knowledgeable. His work was neat and clean, bagging all the debris while on the roof, carrying it down and hauling it away. He made temporary repairs to the one gutter, which I suspected needed replacement, and clearly explained the repair work that would be done during the replacement. Rodney then inspected the roof and attic, examined the condition of downspouts, windows, doors and siding. He presented me with a written report of this evaluation, which we discussed. I have requested that the company send someone to give me an estimate on the replacement and repair work of the damaged gutter and downspout. I was very pleased with the attention, thoroughness, and work performed today.

Marc arrived on time. He exceed my expectations and pointed out things that needed to be done. Marc also took the time to explain what he was doing as he went along. He made several suggestions on how to prevent future damage and he also removed a dead bird for me that was in the gutter. I appreciate his professionalism and would highly recommend his services to family, friends and neighbors. I am very satisfied and happy that I found this company on Angie's List. It went very well - exactly as I had hoped and expected. Mark was very nice and I am going to possibly use them again to install the gutter guards.

On July 28, I wrote a very positive review of AHC after a service call. However, during that service call, it was determined that I needed an estimator to come to the house for follow-up work. The guy who had provided the service arranged for his office to call me, and an appointment was set for an estimator to come to my home at 10:00 am on August 3. On August 3, no one had arrived by 12 noon, so I called. The woman who answered the phone said that she could not help me, but would have her boss return my call when he returned to the office no later than 1:45 pm. Around 2 pm, when I had received no phone call, I called again. This time the same woman said her boss had not yet returned: she had only "thought" her boss would return by 1:45 but she hadn't been sure. I asked why she hadn't called to let me know he hadn't returned. She answered, "well, I sent him a text." The phone call ended there. It is now August 7. No one from AHC has called me. They clearly don't want my business, and I clearly don't want to work with them.

Everything went very well. The tech was very helpful and professional. he made very convincing recomendations.

Joe arrived on time and wanted to know why I was asking for a roof estimate. My roof is 19 years old, and I was interested in knowing whether my roof needed to be replaced and what it might cost. Joe was interested in looking in the attic to see if there was any rust on the nails in the roof and how the venting and air flow was for the roof. He told me what he was looking for before he saw anything, so we both knew what he was looking for. After he carried my step ladder up 2 flights and looked in the attic, he told me he found no problem with the nails, no problem with leakage at neighboring townhomes, and air flow at the peak and at the edges of the roof was very good. Joe also went in the backyard and visually looked at the roof. He saw no shingles missing and no real problems. He looked at the small roof over the front porch and saw some wear on the shingles, some algae, and no cracking on the shingles over the peak of the small roof. With all this evidence, Joe said I did not need a new roof at this time. I could possibly get another couple years out of this roof. Joe was very honest and did not try to tell me I needed a new roof when I did not need one at this time. Joe commended me on being proactive regarding looking into whether I may need a new roof. Joe was easy going, offered useful facts, and responded to my questions. He did not review detail roofing materials with me, though he did offer that a new townhome roof might range between $3,800 and $5,200 with $4,200 a typical cost for my roof. I was very pleased with Joe's honesty, grateful for his sharing of various useful facts on roofs and my roof in particular, and comfortable with his verdict that my roof does not need replaced at this time. I will contact this company again when I am in need of a roof.
