The service man came in early after asking me if it is okay to come in early. He did not open any gutters. He just cleaned the elbows at the top of the house with his metal tool (removed leaves) and poured water using a hose to see if it goes through. He tightened couple of gutters and then left. We did not get rain until 8 days later so today was the test for the gutters and almost all of them functioned well except two. The water over flows and continues to gather near the foundation. I am disappointed with this issue. The test of using a hose to run some water through is not accurate. I wish I can upload some videos. - I am not completely dissatisfied with the job but they should have done a more thorough job - The money to value ratio is not worth for the job labor and time spent.

. He was prompt with appointntment. He cleaned both the front and rear gutters. He showed me the damaged of the gutter guards chewed up most likely by squirrels. He recommended that they be rep;aced with Rhino guard

The technician was prompt and professional. He repaired some minor roof and chimney issues and cleaned and repaired some gutter issues. I was completely satisfied with his work and would use his company's services again without hesitation.

Marc arrived on time and we reviewed the screens to be addressed and he fixed the screens that could be fixed, he also provided great advice on the other screens and took his time to explain how my windows should be sealed. We agreed on the project and he went to work sealing my basement windows. He was courteous, honest, and worked hard to get the job done in a very timely manner with high quality. I'm happy with the service. The tech that came out was Mark Burkett. He showed up on time. He cleaned out my gutters and took away all of the mess. He also took before and after photos. He checked out the attic, and afterwards he gave me a detailed report of the condition of my roof/gutters/soffets, etc. He informed me of a couple potential problem areas to look after. I'd use this service again and recommend it to others.

Howard did an outstanding job. He was on-time, thorough and the gutters looked great when he was finished. He also took the time to explain everything with me and made sure I understood the issues with my gutters and what work was needed to be done. I would definitely recommend Howard and American Home Contractors for others to use.

Marc was terrific. He did all the tune-ups on our list. He was very professional with his work. He had lots of photos from his inspection that he shared with us, as well as before and after photos of his tune-up work. He really went above and beyond.

He was very professional. He explained everything thoroughly. He went up on the roof and took pictures so we could see what he was talking about. He made us feel comfortable and was not pushy. He took his time to make sure everything was correct. I would recommend them to anybody.

Howard checked the attic for possible problems, replaced several roof shingles and gave me some helpful advice. I will use American Home Contractors again.

At the end of the service call, Howard went through everything that he checked and explained what was done and how it should be maintained. I was very pleased with the service that was given by this company. I would definitely use American Home Contractors again. I would request Howard Spires as my technician. He gave me a printout with the details of everything that was covered and explained each item.

WOW!!! I simply can't say enough good about today's experience. The deal was for up to 100 feet of gutter tune-up/cleaning. I had a problem area where it was drooping and starting to pull away from the house. Rodney checked it out and the reason was that the builder missed the joist ends when they hung the gutters. It was only fastened into the trim board! He refastened the existing ones and then put in some screws to prevent it from pulling out again. He also really checked everything over and let me know where I do have problems with them not being sloped for proper drainage. He checked the roof from the inside as well as outside, checked the pipe collars and all the places I have other roof penetrations, the flashing, you name it he checked it! At the end he gave me a full write up with the condition of everything noted. I was REALLY pleased that there was no hard sell on any of the problem areas I do have. That is a huge turn off for me and it is rare to find a company that doesn't push you. He discussed what was needed to my satisfaction that they could do the job and do it well when I am ready. He would have earned an A+ right there if he had not already earned it twice over for the work he just did. So that part was great. Exceeded expectations greatly already, but it STILL got better. I knew I was going to be over the 100 foot allowance so I was going to have him do the high part of the roof and I was going to do the lower garage part myself but Rodney did the ENTIRE house! VERY impressed with the service, the attitude and the professionalism! I will definitely call them when I am ready to do the roof and when I change out to some 6 inch gutters and downspouts on the front of the house, or when I am considering any other work!

Went well. There will be a follow-up estimate to replace my roof, which is over 20 years old.

The Inspector was prompt and asked a few preliminary questions and got straight to work. He came down the ladder a couple of times to retrieve repair materials, Once he completed his inspection up to[ he addressed some residual issues down below. He reviewed the repairs he made and showed me pictures of the initial damage. He also reviewed his recommendations for needed repairs and offered a flyer on some additional work I mentioned I needed. Rodney answered all my questions and I felt comfortable that his recommendations were truthful.

Marc arrived exactly on time. He was very knowledgeable, helpful and polite. He went above and beyond, trimming branches away from the roof and unclogging downspouts.

The technician Marc Burkett explained what he was going to do, and what was covered by the Big Deal. Then he inspected my roof, replaced a worn out pipe collar and reshingled a small area where the wind had blown off some shingles. In addition, he caulked as needed. He also answered some questions I had specific to my roof and gutters. Overall I was very pleased with the results. It was well worth the money.

Work was done by Marc Burkett. Arrived on time, explained what he was going to do. Quickly found source of small leak and fixed it. Job took about a half hour. Marc was very knowledgeable, courteous and reassuring.

Better than expected. All items, especially small ones, were given great care. Answered many questions with understandable and detailed responses.

The rep (Howard) was very professional and informative. He took pictures in the attic as well as the outside roof. He pointed out the trouble spots and made me aware of the inadequate job that was done on my roof repair. He also pointed out that the attic fan I had installed was the wrong kind. He answered all my questions and suggested I get a few estimates on my full roof replacement before I choose. I did get my first one with AHC.

Dave was as professional as can be, going above and beyond what was required for my situation. I had used AHC a few years ago, and they did an excellent job on my many windows that went in. So they were my first call when I developed this problem, as I knew roofing was their specialty. Dave and a helper went up to assess the roof on the day I called them, even with only a few hours notice, since it was April and more rain was expected. He laid a tarp on the roof and secured it, in order to buy me time on a decision whether to patch the roof or replace it. The next day he had run his estimates on three roofing systems with varying warranties. They were all good quality roofs at a fair price. When we discussed the pricing plan, there was an aspect with the fascia board that he overlooked in the quote, and decided to throw it in at no cost. Given the potential costs of roof replacement, of course I got other quotes to compare, even though I completely trusted AHC. The financing program that they offered had a couple of options, even one at zero percent interest. I had the problem temporarily corrected for very little cost, which should buy me time on my ultimate decision. When I go to replace the entire roof, my first call will be to AHC. It's an honest company that's been in Laurel for 20-30 years now, and having worked with dozens of contractors over the years, I couldn't endorse them any higher.

Mark was professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Although the first appointment was postponed due to rain and the lateness of the hour, when American Home sent Mark, the job was done very well. He cleared out all debris, checked and sealed where needed, checked and tightened hangers, and straightened out dents. Even though I had more than 100 feet of gutter and inexpensive gutter covers in place (or not, in some spots), Mark took the extra time to clean and check the entire roof line. He was careful to replace my old gutter covers much more securely than before, although he recommended new ones, and cleaned up all sticks and trash. I was very pleased with Mark's service.

I was beginning to get worried because of how long the process was taking to have someone come look at the roof, then to have someone scheduled to do the repair. However, once we got in sync with each other, the process went smoothly. The day of my scheduled appointment (today), Marc Burkett, showed up on the early side of prompt (about 3 minutes. You know, those 3 minutes before someone is scheduled to show up and you've awakened late hoping they will be a little late so that you can take care of your "morning needs." :-) ) Marc B. came out, took the time to explain what he was going to do so that there were no surprises and there weren't. He went up and came back down .... with pictures to show me the before and after. I heard banging, of course, but still the repair was much quieter than I expected. He cleaned up and was on his way. I'd give him a 5 out of 5 for his professionalism, promptness, and repair work.

The technician, Howard, was prompt and courteous. He performed an inspection of my attic, roof, windows/doors and the gutter system. He provided recommendations on how to make minor improvements for significant results. The gutter clean-up went very quickly so Howard went above and beyond with some other minor repairs. Howard retrofitted a piece of hardware cloth/screening that I had on-hand to complete my gutter guard where a piece was missing. Howard also fixed a piece of siding on my chimney that was blown out of joint, fixed a piece of sagging soffit and assessed an issue with a storm door... All above and beyond what he was contracted to do. I'm very pleased with the service of this company. Maria, the office manager, was also pleasant to deal with.

Great! We were disappointed to hear that our roof needs a lot of work, which we were unaware of, but very glad that Marc noticed it and let us know. He also gave us a $500 coupon to put towards any future work we have American Home Contractors perform. He went above and beyond what we ordered, and did a great job communicating about the condition of our roof and gutters.
