Howard was very knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant to work with. It was nice to meet a contractor technician who didn't "find" issues that we had to address immediately and there was no pressure sales pitch of any kind. He very clearly explained the problems found, showed me pictures he had taken of the problems and advised a course of action, which we will follow. Also, due to an unexpected transportation problem, Howard called this morning to request that he come at 9:30 instead of 8, which was not a problem. He arrived on time at 9:30 with Ricky, who was also very professional and very pleasant. We will definitely call American Home Contractors when it is time to replace our roof in the future.

Salesman came to residence to make presentation of products and services offered by the provider. Although the representative was professional and knowledgeable the deal breaker was the final cost of the services to be provided. As a result of the high estimate, this provider was not a consideration in replacing our roof.

Despite the rainy weather the work awas accomplished within a week from purchase date.

Mark arrived a bit late but was keeping us informed, so no worries there. He knew his stuff, extremely thorough and performed quite a bit of small repairs (nail pops, shingle crack repair, box vents, caulking etc). Replaced b-vent as well. Definitely above and beyond what I anticipated.

We ordered a roof inspection to find the source of a couple of small leaks. The inspection included some caulking of problem areas and a few minor repairs. Marc, the roof technician, was professional and seemed very knowledgeable about roof construction and diagnosing problem areas. He thoroughly explained problems and fixes, as well as some additional items that could be potential future problems based on how our roof was constructed and how to remedy them. After the inspection/minor repairs, we were given a list of all the roof components and their current state, i.e., if they needed repair, including all of the things that were in excellent shape. I was impressed by the professionalism/knowledge so I would be very comfortable using this company in the future.

Everything went well. He was very informative and professional.

Was supposed to be a 'roof tune up' with a $250 credit towards any follow-on work. As far as I can tell, dude got on my roof and that's about it. None of the nail pops were fixed. I asked for an estimate for a new roof while he was at it. Never heard from them again. Plus, the guy arrived early and was irritated when I could not drop everything at work and immediately accommodate his schedule. This feels like a very expensive 'free estimate' and that's it, nothing fixed or followed up on.

PLEASE SEE 10/12/2015 UPDATE AT THE END OF THIS REVIEW. Started out well, Nate the salesman was late to the initial appointment but he did call ahead of time to let us know he would be late. Although their price was more than 20% higher than the next estimate, we decided to use them because the warranty was far superior. Warranty is lifetime through the next owner vs. only 5 yr from the others. We were told they would give us a one week notice before they do the job and that they would drop a dumpster 1-2 days prior to the 7AM start. We received an email on Wednesday 9/30 at 12:20pm that they would be starting the next morning. We had to scramble schedules to have one of us home. It wasn't until 10:30 Thursday morning that we were able to get in touch with ANYONE who could confirm that they would NOT be coming. I spoke with one of the owners, Ken, who assured me they would be here today, Monday, to do the job. I asked him to please have someone come and move the materials (that they had staged on my lawn Wednesday) so the grass would not be damaged. He assured me someone would be out later that day (Thursday) to take care of it. No one ever came. We were told they would use a debris shute directly into the dumpster so as to not ruin the lawn & gardens. No shute was used, the lawn and gardens were tarped and debris went flying onto the tarps and yard. We were told that we would be given the opportunity to review each piece of plywood that needed to be replaced. We were never given that opportunity, but they only had to replace 4 pcs. When my husband drove by this evening he witnessed one of the men throwing an individual ridge vent cap to one of the workers on the second story roof, which he failed to do after three tries as it bounced on two roofs and onto the concrete driveway all three times. Once he noticed the observer, he decided to walk it up the ladder to the worker. We were told that salesman would be here first thing in the morning to start the project. It is after 7PM, and he can't make it over. Why do we want him to come over? Because among other things, we have NO TELEVISION. They literally ripped out the satellite dish from the roof and had it hang by the RG6 cable all day. They just put it back up and told us we need to contact Direct TV to have them come out and reset it. They did not even pull the old roofing off of the mount before hammering it back up. We have been in contact with the salesman Nate who has been in contact with Ken the owner, and apparently Ken the owner said it is common practice for them to rip out the dish, leave it hanging by the cable, and remount with no regard as to the alignment. Had we been aware of this, we would have set up an appt for DirecTV ahead of time. They were unable to finish the job this evening as it got dark and they ran out of Ridge Vent Cap. They were unable to complete the yard clean up because it got dark. Now we can't let our dog out in the yard for fear of nails, etc. Complete and total failure to communicate in a timely fashion the status of our project and respond to our questions and concerns. Complete failure to perform the work as described by the salesman: Failure to install and use a debris shute, failure to prevent damage to the lawn, failure to complete in one day, and while there was no prior discussion on the DirecTV antenna, the general attitude and workmanship involving the antenna was horrific. UPDATE: 10/12/2015 - THE OWNER HAD CALLED THE EVENING OF WEDNESDAY 10/7/2015 AND SPOKE WITH US FOR OVER AN HOUR. HE ADDRESSED ALL OF OUR ISSUES, ANSWERED ALL OF OUR QUESTIONS, AND APOLOGIZED PROFUSELY FOR THE SITUATION. WE WERE QUITE IMPRESSED WITH HIM AND WERE RELIEVED TO FEEL THAT HE PERSONALLY TOOK AN INTEREST IN OUR EXPERIENCE. ALL PROBLEMS WE ENCOUNTERED WERE RELATED TO COMMUNICATION ISSUES AND NOT TO THE QUALITY OF THE ROOF OR INSTALLATION. SINCE ALL COMMUNICATION ISSUES HAVE BEEN ADDRESSED WE NOW FEEL COMFORTABLE CHANGING OUR RATING TO AN A.

I needed someone to clean out the plumbing vent pipes on my roof. Unfortunately the plumbers I talked to did not want to get on my roof. This company was very willing to solve my problem. I scheduled a roof tune-up and they were willing to clean out the vent pipes too with no extra charge. Marc Burkett came out with another worker and they were willing to help in any way they could. I really appreciate them trying to solve my problem and also give me tips for making my roof more efficient. It was a good experience.

Went well, we retained the same contractor to replace the top roof. The tech who came out for the inspection, Marc Burket, was very helpful and professional,that was a big part of the decision to hire them for the full job. I'll po9st an update when the work is completed.

Provider was scheduled for 3:30 pm but called around 11 and asked if it would be ok to show up earlier since he had a couple of cancellations. This worked out well for my schedule. Howard arrived as he said and provided me with a pre-brief of what he was to look at. Following the inspection he went over the details of what he had found and provided a number of options on fixing those areas that needed fixing. When the repairs where completed he gave me a thorough rundown of what he had done and what may need repair in the future. He also took time out to answer some questions from one of my neighbors who was experiencing some issues with his chimney. Throughout the process, he was courteous and professional.

Marc called and offered to show up early to do the work. I told him what time I'd get home and he was there and ready when I arrived. The process didn't take too long and he seemed to be an expert at what he was doing. I would definitely use them again.

I got gutters and everything. I think that it was an excellent job. They were in and out.

They were prompt and finished in good time.

Marc Burkett, our Tune up Tech, was very personable and knowledgeable. He did a thorough inspection and gave us great suggestions.

Technician was very professional. He was late for the appointment, but called to notify me of his estimated time of arrival. Explained what he would do and took pictures to show that work was completed as described. Provided detailed notes and recommendations about future maintenance of the roof and gutters.

The technician, Howard, was very thorough and professional. He inspected the attic, checked for leaks, checked the insulation, venting etc. He went on the roof, performed inspection and took pics. He replaced a pipe boot, and corrected 2 areas on the ridge where the shingles had split or worn with new pieces. My roof is nearing replacement time and I wanted to make sure things were ok before winter. This company was pretty thorough and spent a decent amount of time here, for a great price.

Appointment is easy. After purchased the coupon, they called me within two days to make appointment. Even more, they called me one day before the appointment to confirm again. The technician, Mark Burkett, is awesome. He is not only doing gutter tune up, also the roof ,attic and siding check. He explained what he did and why he did it. He even went extra mile on misc items, like suggestions of vent pipe collars etc. Detail oriented and very professional. I strongly recommend American Home Construction. A++++

It went great! Howard was very nice, honest, upfront, and detailed(which I love!). He reviewed everything step by step as he went along. He showed me all of the before and after pictures. He explained everything very well. I was so pleased! I will definitely use them again! Thanks!

Marc called and said that he was running early and asked if it was convenient for him to arrive ahead of schedule, which was fine with us. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He took pictures and showed us problems with existing skylight. He said that we really should consider replacing it but the cost (although very reasonable) is not within our budget at this time. Our townhouse is 18 years old, we have been here for 10 years and this is the first time we've had the skylight inspected and serviced. We were very pleased with Marc's explanations and pictures and will definitely consider using American Home Contractors when we are ready to replace the skylight.

The appointment for the review and tune-up was very easy to schedule. I appreciated the day-before appointment confirmation. Howard arrived on time and came to introduce himself and then began work. First Howard inspected the attic crawl space (which had no major issues) and then the roof. He gave a detailed description of the state of the 23 year old roof (better than expected, but still in need of replacement) with photos. Howard then did the tune-up work on the roof: caulked and closed a hole. Upon finishing Howard provided more photos of the things he had done. Since he was recommending replacement, he offered to put us in contact with the American Home to schedule an estimate, which we have scheduled. Howard seemed very experienced and knowledgeable.

They did a great a job. They came out and did a tune up and made a recommendation that I replaced the gutter on the entire back of the house.
