I highly recommend this vendor. He was courteous, reliable and professional.

Technician Marc Burkett called prior to the scheduled appointment time to say he was running early. He asked if it was ok to arrive about 15 minutes ahead of schedule which was fine. Marc performed a thorough inspection of our roof and then provided picture of where caulking was necessary due to exposed nails and an area around the tv dish. Marc is very professional and knowledgable. The experience, which included a free estimate on a new roof if we ever choose to go that route was very effected and as promised by the deal through Angie's List.

He was on time. Very professional and courteous.

My husband and I bought our house in June 2015, and there have been a few projects that needed to be done immediately. The roof/attic was not on my radar for at least 1-2 years but had a roofer come out to check things out for my peace of mind. After that horrible experience with that so-called ?roofer,? I?ve been apprehensive in finding a new one. But, I was having anxiety over some ?popping noises,? a few things I noticed in the attic, and some brown spotting (water staining after the recent 2-ft snowpocalypse) on the ceiling in my bedroom ? so I needed/wanted to get someone out to make sure everything was ship-shape. Of course, the typical worrier that I am, I was half expecting my roof to cave in. WOW! Jeff was amazing! He showed up 30 mins early and was ready to get to work. Before his first stop in the attic, he actually listened and heard my concerns. Jeff disappeared into the attic for a bit, then called me ?up? (the ladder) and he went over various aspects of the attic in relation to my concerns as well as the overall ?health? of the attic/under-roof. At least 10 min conversation with me on the ladder and Jeff walking around the attic showing (flashlighting) me that what I thought was an issue, was not or was normal. Very detailed explanation(s) and did not rush through the job nor rush me and my thoughts/concerns/questions (he was here for 1.5 hrs!). Jeff did not try to tell (sell) me, ?hey you might need this, or you might need that.? We were both pleasantly surprised at how good a shape the framing and roof and gutters were in. And here I was thinking the roof was going to fall in (look, I like to get ahead of a potential issue rather than chase it) and was hoping Jeff would tell me I could get another year out of it, and just do some patchwork today. Jeff told me my roof should last longer than 1-2 yrs. Such wonderful news (and just confirmed to my husband that I was ?crazy?). Better safe than sorry! When the time comes to replace my roof, Jeff/American Home Contractors is who I will call! Any roofing, siding, windows, doors, etc. that I need to have replaced or added to my house, American Home Contractors is the only company I will call. Very hard to find honest people nowadays, so when you find one you stick with them.

We have an older house and the gutters were in need of cleaning and repair. We purchased a Big Deal package and AHC was very prompt in calling back to schedule an appointment. Marc B. was our roof/gutter technician and he did a great job. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to walk me through the work that was going to be done and the different options available. His work was thorough and efficient, and I appreciate that he took extra care while up on our roof. I would definitely recommend him and AHC.

AWESOME!!!!! He was early. Extremely personable. Explained things in my attic. Explain how much insulation as needed and made recommendations on where to go and how to do it. Showed me how to measure. I have been in my house since 2007 and the light bulb in there had been out. I'm just now realizing where the light switch belong too. I pointed out where there were a couple of leaks and he found the issue. He was extremely nice and fix them for me. He also had a very great sense of humor. I need a copy of his business card and sent it on to all of my neighbors.

Great! Marc B. Was very thorough with his work and straightforward with his explanations. He pointed out all the problem areas with my gutter system, including rusted steel bolts, peeling/damaged roofing, and ventilation issues that will probably save lots of trouble and money down the road. I was pleased that he even took tons of pictures and shared them with me immediately to show my the problems and proof of the work that he performed! He was professional and pleasant to interact with, and plenty knowledgeable about gutters and roofing. I would absolutely hire him again for additional work.

Jeff, the technician, arrived promptly and did a thorough examination before commencing repairs. Courteous and friendly demeanor. Discussed where repairs were needed now and potentially in a few years. Took photos to show the home owner what was done and clearly explained the inspection report.

It went very well, (see above comments), would use services again and recommend them. The technicians (Jonathan Ross and Jeff Waltos) were very professional and nice people.

Howard is the best. I am very happy and satisfied with what he did and what he recommended. He took clear pictures so that I could see what the problems were and took a lot of time explaining to me what he saw when he went into my attic and on the roof. I finally found a professional, honest company that I will recommend to my friends. Thank you Howard!

Marc Burkett was great. He was punctual, credible, had a good level of knowledge to quickly assess our roofing/siding issue. He set a path and plan for us to remediate it and because of his interaction we will definitely contract with American Home Contractors to fix our insulation and siding issues. Thanks Marc.

The service tech, Howard Shires, was punctual and called me on his way to the house, giving me a half hour notice. He first checked the integrity of our roof's underside, soffits, and vents from inside our attic to ensure that everything was installed correctly and that there were no leaks. He found that our dryer vent was not connected correctly, and our dryer was exhausting lint and moist air into our attic. Since dryers are one of the foremost causes of house fires, this finding easily paid for the cost of the inspection. He then used a 40' ladder to access our 3-story roof where he found old construction issues with the roof that will need repair. He also cleaned out our gutters and found them to be sound. He identified the issue with the aforementioned dripping water, which was actually a siding issue, and recommended a solution. Afterwards, Howard gave us a written and oral summary of his inspection, with close-up pictures of the identified issues. He answered all of our questions and vowed to follow-up via e-mail or phone if we had any others.

Jonathan called to announce his arrival within 30 minutes of scheduled time. He was very pleasant and helpful, looked at everything I had questions about. He was very understanding about my situation (trying to fix up 83 y.o. widowed father's house). He worked quickly and carefully to clean up the gutters (which had been neglected for years). He documented the work with photos and explained what he did with what he found. Did not clean up the gunk thrown out of the gutters and off the roof, but there are other issues on the ground in the yard that require my attention (I'll deal with it later).

My overall experience with American Home Contractors have been wonderful. Johnathan arrived a few minutes before my 8am appt time He was very professional and pleasant. Johnathan came out to both clean the gutters as well as give me an estimate on future work. He did a phenomenal job cleaning the gutters and also even repaired some other minor issues such as nail pops etc...that we did not even pay for. I definitely will be using American Home Contractors for future work.

Went fine as far as I can tell. Stated that my complaint about icicles forming over the gutters was due to the gutters being narrower than the roof pitch. This did not allow the rainwater to to flow down into the gutters.

The crew (Mr. Shires and Mr. Ross) with American Home Contractors were prompt, knowledgeable. and professional. They performed the work efficiently and provided recommendations for maintenance to be performed in the near future. I would highly recommend them to my neighbors and friends. Totally satisfied. The person who came didn't have the part but was able to get someone from down the street to provide a part. He fixed the angle of the gutter, installed the part, and cleared a clog. The pictures helped to understand another problem we were having. Great job!

I was contacted quickly after ordering the service, and they were able to get here the next day. Marc was very knowledgeable and resolved my roof issues.

Inspection was comprehensive and thorough.

Howard arrived right on time, completed his inspection in the attic and then outside on the roof. Repaired missing nails on ridge vent, put a new cap on a vent and caulked where needed.

Jeff arrived with notice about 30 minutes early. This was already a plus for me. He was very professional and took his time to explain some things to me and to help me possibly resolve another issue I was having. Mark arrived shortly after and was very thorough in explaining the results of the roof and gutter inspection and how the next phase of the process would work if I were interested in receiving a free estimate. In going over the paper work Jeff amazed me with the before and after pictures. I am completely satisfied with the services I received and both men were completely professional and friendly. I look forward to working with this company in the future and hope that all of the technician's are equally professional and helpful.

He was friendly and professional, but unfortunately the problem wasn't the soffits. Insulation was butting up against the roof in the eaves due to baffles being improperly installed. Since he didn't get into the roof there was no way he could identify the problem. Overall I believe the $49 "inspection" was over priced as most companies would do at least as much in the process of putting together any work estimate.

We had a major clog in a gutter that was causing water to pour down the house in a way that would cause damage. We called them, and they came right away. We discovered that the previous owners of the house did not put the right downspout to allow fo the amount of water running off. They could have recommended an immediate and expensive fix. Instead, they offered to clear the clog and come back to see how it was doing. Saved us money and they were very up front about what we needed. I really appreciated their work.
