Photograph roof from inside and out. Evaluate where the weak spots were that needed repair and or replacing. Detailed check list of worked before with before and after photos. Flashing caulked, rubber gaskets replaced and re-caulked. Bought us some more time before replacing the entire roof.

Marc was punctual, polite, and professional throughout. He cleaned the gutters and performed a thorough inspection of the exterior of the house and the gutters and downspouts in order to assess why we have been having water leaking into the basement. He found no problem with the gutters but was very helpful in pointing to the causes of water penetration and the steps we could take to fix the problem. He was very patient answering all my questions and seemed very knowledgeable about the issues and offered constructive advice.

Simple repairs were made, and received a recommendation for future work based on the age of the roof and condition of the shingles.

Jonathan was timely and very professional. He made some recommendations for repair and improvement, taking care to explain the reasons behind his suggestions. He left the gutters well cleaned and made a few tweaks, where possible,to fix things he came across in his work. He is a terrific representative for the company and I will use American Home Contractors in the future.

The original windows cracked as our home settled after it was built. I had them replaced with large, picture windows, one in the master bedroom and one in the foyer. Both windows were located on the second floor. Measurements were taken and the configuration of the grid was done to match my other windows. Installation went very smoothly, even given the challenge of the window height. Everyone I dealt with from this company was wonderful, from the gentleman who inspected my roof, to the salesman who came to my home to discuss the project, to the gentleman who measured and installed the windows, to the people who work in the office. When I need more windows replaced, this is definitely the company I will call. It should be noted that the office I worked with is in Westminster, MD, not Indianapolis, IN as stated above.

Jeff was punctual and very professional. He explained what he was doing and why. He cleaned gutters of debris where necessary, addressed leak sources and sealed potential leaks. I would definitely use American Home Contractors again.

The receptionist was ffriendly and sympathetic. She squeezed the schedule to send Howard Shires. Howard was puctureate, friendly and professional. He did a thorough job examining our roof and attic and ventilation. We had 3 companies checked our shingle problem, I believe Howard is the most knowledgeable and patient technician. He gave us good advice which finalize our search.

Service went great. Jeff from American Home Contractors showed up on time and was very nice. Explained everything he intended on doing then provided pictures during and after he was finished the gutter service. Would do business again.

It went well. He found one place where debris had still entered through the screens on a gutter and prevented proper drainage into the downspout. Other details were explained above. He also explained how I could reuse the same screens with the new larger width (6") gutter that he gave me an estimate for installing and why the screens would perform better when this larger width allowed flattening the screen. Now the screens are raised in the middle, and this causes debris to collect between this hump and the roof. So, he gave me greater value than I ever expected from his "tune up" service. His name is Marc Burkett.

Well first of all American Home Contractors followed up with me promptly after placing my initial call. There were courteous and friendly and able to schedule service within a few weeks at a mutually convenient time. They even called the business day before as a friendly reminder. Howard showed up right on time and familiar with all of the items I had initially specifically discussed with his office. We walked around the house and inspected many things that I had questions about. He provided me with a lot of valuable information and advice. Howard then went into the attic to inspect the roof and look for any irregularities and leaks. He was always very careful to not track dirt or debris into the house. He took pictures in the attic and on the roof to discuss some areas of minor concern where minor maintenance would prevent bigger problems in the future. He is sending me digital copies of the pictures as well. On the roof, he noted some of the gutters were actually screened and didn't need cleaning naturally saving me money. Of course, the gutters on the back of the house facing the woods were not screened and were badly clogged. After cleaning them, Howard, gave me a few options on screening these gutters to prevent clogging in the future which I will consider, He accomplished what he came to do and left me knowing what to expect in the future. Just great service starting with the first call. Awesome job

Great feedback/suggestions on how to save on heating/cooling costs.

Robert Shire was on time, courteous and efficient. He inspected, repaired the roof and showed me the pics and discussed in detail about his finding and suggestions

The job went very well. The rep showed up on time and was very patient in explaining the roofing system and some of the visible issues seen from the drive way. This was a great help as this is my first home and the information learned at the home inspection is a blur at best. The rep was here for about two (2) hours replacing shingles and securing visible nails that had popped up. He took before and after pictures and provided a link for me to review and download them. Because of the issues with the roof (improper installation), he recommended a roof replacement. Another rep followed up the same day to schedule the estimate. I find this company to be prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. The only issue (if you want to consider it one) is that the rep asked for a review before he performed the work and produced the pictures. He seemed eager to get a review. He mentioned it at least three times before work commenced. On one attempt, He provided us with website information so we could complete the review while he worked. This is not a reflection on the specialty of their work--roofing. However, the constant mentioning of the review before any work was completed chipped away from the quality of service.

Excellent and reasonably priced roofer. Mark B was on time, courteous and very professional. He listened to all of my concerns and quickly found the problem. He did not rush and explained all of my options prior to doing any work. The roof tune up is a very adorable and easy way to get diagnose any roofing problems. American Home Contractors was hired to come and do an inspection of my attic. The technician, Howard Shires, arrived promptly at the scheduled time. Upon arriving, he immediately noticed some roof irregularities and did a quick roof inspection as well as the agreed upon attic inspection. Mr. Shires was very knowledgeable and helpful with his recommendations for repairing and rectifying the issues found on the roof gutters and attic. I felt very fortunate that I was speaking to him, instead of anyone else who could have been sent. Although this was only an estimate, I felt confident that if the inspections went this professionally, then the company he represents would conduct themselves in performing the work in like manner.

Great customer service. Called to set up appt. Called day before to confirm appt and time and tell me the name of the technician. Technician called the day of service because he was able to come earlier in the day. Arrived promptly. Very pleasant and knowledgeable and was able to point out and explain the basic design of our skylights and what the damage tells him about possible issues with our 20 year old skylights! Understanding of our situation, ie: cannot replace skylight at this time but saving for that and did the tune up to try to prevent further damage until replaced. Arranged for estimate for replacements. Very satisfied and will be using this company when we replace our skylights.

Mark was very professional and thorough. He inspected the attic and provided strategies and suggestions for insulating and ventilating the attic - and he provided a written report.

Service went great. John address a lot of my roofing issues. He was very nice and professional. Will definitely use them in the future. He was able to explain my roofing issues and seal some of the holes I had, so no water can leak into my roof.

Jeff W and Howard S with American Home Contractors conducted a through inspection of my roof. They arrived on time very chipper. They explained to me why the shingles on my roof were falling off, how shingles should be hung as well as the issues I will continue to have. They provided pictures of my roof. We also discussed my gutters. All and all a great job.

He provided thorough explanations of all the work he was going to do before beginning, and explained what he was looking for in the inspection and where trouble areas might occur. I was very pleased with all of the work, explanations, and answers to all of my questions. overall, a very pleasant experience. And he was early!

Jeff W arrived right as scheduled. He was perfectly courteous and offered to throw booties on, when invited in. After walking around the garage to get a scope of the needed work, he got started. He was incredibly knowledgeable and presented information in a manner that never left me feeling lost. The gutters were a mess when he started. The end product looks great. We'll definitely use AHC for any future roof or gutter needs.
