Description of Work: Spent about 1.5 hours on the roof. Did some patching and renailing. Took many photos to show why we need a new roof. Gave us a quote. A 2nd quote from a different roofing company was about the same and they identified many of the same issues.

Description of Work: They were on time for the roof tune-up special offered through Angie's list. They provided useful information about the roof, applied silicone sealant around nails, and gave a report on the condition of the roof.

Description of Work: Replaced one roof pipe boot. Inspected shingles with missing tabs and recommended leaving existing shingles in place rather than removing them to replace missing tabs. Therefore missing tabs were not replaced, but roofing cement was added under the short edge of the shingle where the tabs had been. Took caulk gun to roof so I assume he caulked/resealed as necessary. Reset some rain gutter nails near the access point to the roof. I am reasonably confident that the technician did a fully competent job but no more than absolutely necessary to satisfy the terms of the deal. In short, what he did, he did well.

Description of Work: They did a roof inspection and fixed several minor problems that could lead to leaks. While the company also installs roofs, the inspector did not get into sales pitches for roofing jobs--he just did what he was supposed to do. He showed photos of potential problem spots and what he had done to minimize those potentials.

Description of Work: They installed 10 double hung triple pan composite wood windows. They were very fair with pricing, outstanding in quality, and just excellent in all areas! I am about to hire them again for 2 more windows.

Description of Work: Full Roof Replacement. American Home Contractors was referred by a neighbor who had their roof replaced a few years back. Shortly after contacting them they sent an experienced sales rep out to discuss roof replacement options and were very professional. We were working against a tight timeline given our severe winter weather in early 2014 and had to reschedule install several times. | |I would rank American Contractors A+ in customer service, reliability, pricing, guarantee and followup. The job was performed promptly over two days given the size of the job. They cleaned up and did a complete metal sweep around the property insuring nails/staples were not left behind. Would definitely use again.
