Very professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. Made recommendations to improve house and prepare it for inspection. In particular, carpentry was beautifully done and of craftsman caliber. Did a first rate job; I am very, very pleased with the whole process..

In all, three interior doors needed repairs due to cracks in frame, and exterior door needed replacement. This required about 12 hours work so it was helpful to have the Angie's List deal for 8 hours of labor. Joe and his crew arrived promptly and did a very professional job. Just a heads up that he may not reply to you immediately after your purchase of services through Angie's List. But a call or email to him will be returned quickly.

They showed up on time, and we walked through the work to be done. I had all the material ready to go. It took two guys around 4 hours to work through the list, and everything looks great. Would definitely hire again.

My experience with X-Act Builders went great. Joe answered the phone immediately when I called and asked me text him with my information and what I needed - he came out the next day and we discussed the work and the estimate - his estimate was good and agreed to the work. They couldn't come on the specific day but Joe was prompt and called me to let me know when they would come out and they arrived then as scheduled - the job turned out to be more difficult with more wood rot then anticipated - I saw the problem and agreed to additional work - Even though my wood windows were in poor shape they repaired what they could as I hadn't budgeted for new windows - everything turned out great and I would definitely call them again

They arrived on time and called ahead of time. Came in I described what I needed and they completed the task as requested very quickly and efficiently. Thanks Angie!

They were good. The only problem was the guy who was going to do the work had some automotive problem so his truck blew up as he said it was a while before he could get out or even look at the job that needed to be done. I was satisfied with the job. The only thing that I could find that was a fault he painted some wood that he was replacing and he painted it with the gloss color and the rest of the wood was a flat. The skill of those people was good.

Joe and his step-daughter are great. They worked hard, they did excellent work and had the right sensitivity for renovating an old house. They worked to keep the original look, but didn't suggest over-the-top expensive solutions to some of the issues we had in the renovation. They were also willing to work with us in reusing old lumber and materials from salvage places to match the 140 year old wood work and other details. They also worked with us on our budget which was limited. We really appreciated the care they took.

They were very attentive to do exactly what I wanted and needed, and ensured throughout the job that everything was to my satisfaction. I'm very happy with the work and would not hesitate to use them again.

X-Act builders did take some time to get back to me outside of the initial response for an exact date, but that was due to their busy schedule. I wasn't in a massive rush, so that wasn't a problem for me after purchasing the big deal for 249. They came out at the end of April to look at the project and intended to start, but upon arrival, they realized it was a bigger job than originally thought. I suspected prior to them coming out that this might be the case. We discussed my needs, and they took some measurements. They provided an initial estimate (on top of the big deal) for 900ish for the extra work. This was explained to me as the absolute maximum that it could possibly be for the full day of work and materials. We agreed to May 11th as the work date. On the work date, they arrived shortly after 830 to get started. They did the work thoroughly and quickly. They were very neat and made sure everything was painted that needed to be. X Act ended up finishing about 1:30 in the afternoon, so my extra cost ended up being 511 dollars, which was much more palatable than a 900 bill. I hope to use them again.

Everything went well and we were happy except that the provider arrived late and did not call to warn us. My tenant and I were both waiting and it was a bit annoying. Otherwise he totally impressed me and did a good job, and I would call him again, certainly.

They were very helpful and cooperative and neat.

Joe Spagnolo was extremely responsive and was able to squeeze me into his schedule earlier than others could. He was prompt, extremely respectful and professional. Came with all the necessary equipment to take care of my requests and did it rather quickly. I will definitely use his company again.

The gentleman arrived on time, did a quality job in all respects, and cleaned up after himself. Ultimately, it was a good experience.

Joe was very helpful. He asked all the right questions about how I wanted the storage installed in the garage and helped me get the shelves in place to make sure everything worked as hoped. The drywall patching was well done and done very efficiently. Was happy to learn that he is a master carpenter and that X-Act also provides carpentry work, as I need to hire a carpenter to do some work in my family room. We will use again.

I was told that was like for one person to come, but they normally have two people come and so it would have been half the amount of the time. The deal was like for four hours but because they had two people coming in it ended up being two hours and then they were like we can't get all this done in two hours. They did tell me all that upfront and so I paid for an additional two hours at the non Angie's List rate although they did say they were giving me a discount. They didn't actually finish everything that we discussed but I got to the point where I wasn't really willing to out up anymore. Basically the caulked and stuck all the wall ready, but they did not have enough time to stand everything down which I was aiming for. There were some scheduling issues. I wanted to get it done before thanksgiving, and we had scheduled the week before thanksgiving but then they called and then the guy called and said he had thrown a shoulder out or something and he wasn't going to be able to come. I had thanksgiving on a picnic blanket on my living room which was okay for a pretty casual family, but then they were able to come out and do it before Christmas and I was like, okay that's fine. I basically got an email on the morning that they were supposed to be there, so it would have been really nice if i had gotten like a personal call or a little bit of notice but I understand that emergence happen. With that they did they did do a good job. I felt the price was pretty good.

They were excellent. They were absolutely amazing. They came within the week of purchasing the big deal. They didn't charge anything additional. The big deal was $109 for 2 hours of service. He came with 3 people, and so they did more than what 2 people would have been able to do in that time. I really liked them, I would recommend them, and if I need any future service, I will definitely call them. They were on time, and they did everything right. Their price was reasonable. They called me back as soon as I called them, and set up an appointment. They came earlier than we had set the appointment. They said they had a cancellation, so they were able to come earlier.

X-Act Builders showed up on time and completed the work in about 2 hours. Three contractor personnel arrived on time. They spent the first 15 minutes measuring the ceiling to cut the crown molding in the second floor hallway and got to work. The two men cut and installed the crown molding piece by piece. The first man used a nail gun to attach the molding ("rough" nailing to hold the board) to the ceiling while the second man held the other end of a 16' board. Once the first board was installed, the second man came back and used a stud finder to locate each stud and "finish" nailed the molding while the first man cut the next board. Their helper, a women, assisted the two men by moving a small ladder platform from place to place and she kept the correct nail gun attached to the air compressor as needed. She definitely sped up the installation process. Once they completed the hallway, they started on the downstairs foyer using the same procedure as above and completed the entire job in about two hours. The deal was one person for 4 hours and they used two people plus a helper for about 2 hours. I used X-Act to install the molding. I did not ask them to fill in the nail holes or caulk the molding to the ceiling and walls or to touch up the painting as necessary. I believe they would have been happy to complete the additional work but I felt comfortable completing the additional work myself. They executed the agreement professionally and in the allotted time. I would hire X-Act Builders again if needed

Communication was good for scheduling, technician arrived in the specified window of time, all work was done well. Everything looked great when the job was completed and there was even time to spare from the specified appointment length. I would absolutely use these services again and recommend them to others around the neighborhood.

Went very well. Have no complaints. Initially thought job would take more time than I paid for but they worked diligently and completed all work within the time allotted. I've already contacted them to do more work.

I was not happy that he appeared to be high, his eyes were blood shot red. I found it incredibly unsettling that he couldn't give me a breakdown of the pricing and labor that I requested. I also found it unprofessional that it took three people to go and get supplies when I'm on a close time slot of only 3 hrs so nobody is working and everyone is gone while my time has already started. It was a mutual just agreement to just not do the work and move forward.

They showed up on time, worked hard for 1.5 hours and were very friendly. They were also able to come without much lead time, so the work was taken care of within a few days after contacting them. I didn't have enough mud to finish more of the job, but the work he and his partner did was quality. He called in advance to confirm that I had enough mud and other materials, but I believe I over-estimated. I would definitely hire X-act again and next time just ensure that I have more mud.

Prompt and thorough service.

All the work was done very well and the areas were cleaned up afterward. We asked the provider to give us an estimate on additional work. The provider walked around the house with us and we talked about the additional work that we would like to have done. The provider took some measurements and made a list of the tasks, but we did not receive a bid.
