If I could give them 0 stars I would, I was googling products to unclog my kitchen sink when I saw an ad for $49 to unclog drain in Eldersburg, I was in Eldersburg at the time. I called to make an appointment, when I gave the young lady my address, she said I don’t see the special in your area, but I’ll honor the coupon. I asked if there were any hidden fees? she said NO, I said unclog for $49 that’s great! She nor the ad indicated the $49 was just a diagnostic fee. The plumber came out and says that’ll be $412. My kitchen is being renovated so there is no sink, just the pipe for the snake. I called Tristate and spoke to Diane who listened to my rant and was very apologetic. Extremely over priced!!

The estimator based labor and materials on complete removal and replacement of problems rather than simple fixing the existing hardware. The result was an estimate of hundreds of dollars and our having to get the parts. A second estimator was called and the most difficult faucets were “fixed” immediately with the tightening of a packing nut and rearranging an internal rubber washer. Labor and travel cost of obtaining parts for another faucet were avoided by delaying the repairs until such time he was already at the plumbing supply store for other jobs. The final cost was neatly 1/7 of the first estimator. The first estimator had a better warranty and was very efficient, Professional and timely. The second estimator was more like a member of the family

Brad was great explaining everything from the work that needed done to the heat pump units themselves. I liked that he called prior to his arrival with an ETA . Did do a free estimate with us. We decided not to go with Tristate in the end and went with a small local business instead but Brad was super friendly and helpful.

The contractor did a quick but thorough job repairing each electrical outlet and provided advice on how to maintain them properly. The ring doorbell installation was quick and neat. The contractor wore a face mask at all times and we had a completely contact-less visit (including the bill payment - we were able to "sign" via our own devices). This company was a pleasure to work with.

I recently had a crack in my acrylic bathtub and called TriState Home Services to replace the tub. We decided to replace it with the same soaking tub to avoid any unnecessary damage to the ceramic tile we put in a few years ago. Bryan, the plumbing specialist at TriState did just that! He did an awesome job on this project. I also want to say how impressed I was with their customer service department, particularly with Megan, in her quick response to my emails along with making me feel so comfortable throughout the whole job.

Tristate Home services is extremely unprofessional. I called to schedule and appointment for Wednesday for an active water leake in the basement. When I had the tenant call to confirm the time (as a courtesy) Tristate said there was no appointment. The tenant made an appointment for Friday. TRISTATE WAS A NO SHOW ON FRIDAY. I called Tristate to see what happened, and said that they would not service my home because I said that I would not be able to give them a positive review due to them cancelling appointments and their unprofessional actions. It appears If they do something wrong they refuse to take responsibility and try to silence you. I would call this unprofessional.

With all due respect, there are several factual corrections we would like to make. First and foremost, an appointment was never confirmed for either Wednesday or Friday. When you called to request service, you were told what our next available openings were. You asked us to confirm with your tenant. We called your tenant, they did not answer, and their voicemail was full. Your tenant then called us, and they requested a Friday appointment. You then called us, berated our customer service staff, and made threats. TriState’s management made the decision to not provide service based on the hostile/threatening phone interaction. We then called your tenant to notify them. They did not answer, and their voicemail was full. We then called you, the landlord. You did not answer, and your voicemail was full. To use your words, we would call this unprofessional. We absolutely hate having to make a “do not service” decision, however after reviewing all pertinent information, including the recordings of all of the calls referenced above, we believe that it was the right decision in this case.

Darren, the Salesman, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Very low pressure sale tactics, but laid out all of the options for you. The crew came and finished installing a new heat pump and heat exchanger in a half day and then another individual returned the next day to install a new water heater. Great communication and attention to detail every step of the way! Would highly recommend!

Heater was originally giving error code. I requested to be contacted by tristate (got responses from other companies so I know it was working) and sent error code to them. Was not contacted. Called them finally after snow hit and they said they never got my info so I'd have to wait because it was busy from snow. No attempt to remedy the non-response and put me at the back of the line. I made sure I gave all the info about the model of heater and error code to person on the phone and he said they don't worry about all that and the tech would get all that info. When the tech finally came, he said to tell the people on the phone the error code because it helps them so obviously there are internal communication issues that need to be addressed across several mediums. Tech replaced the part and it worked for a little while. Error code and new error code came back so I called them again and passed the error code to the phone person again. Tech shows up again and says he wasn't given the error code and he couldn't get the heater to repeat the problem so he made some adjustments and charged us more money. We still have problems with the heater but won't call because they are charging for each service call as a new problem even though it's all related to the same error code when I first called. When the heater broke as it normally does, I opened the covers to my furnace to find a disconnected hose and tape over the door switch that should have been taken off when the tech left because of safety. It seems like the company doesn't really have a philosophy of taking ownership of any problems and are really more of a group of people who kick the can down the road for the next tech to deal with. I only say this because the way I run my business. If I charged someone to fix a problem and their problem still isn't fixed, I couldn't sleep at night if I just charged them again to not fix the problem because of my ethics and it's a shame that more local businesses are treating their neighbors like this. Go with a smaller company that cares about their neighbors.

I called and spoke to Tori at their office, and after initially saying that they could provide the service I needed, she put me on hold for a moment and came back and said they would no longer provide service to me because of the previous review I gave where I was upset about them not honoring a coupon. I was very surprised because I gave them A for quality because I was happy with the workmanship but I was unhappy with their inability to honor the coupon they sent me. It seems that they are black listing anyone that doesn't give them a glowing review on Angie's List. I was actually trying to give them my business and they refused to help me because of my review. They even sent me a brochure subsequent to my complaint last year thanking me for my recent business with me, so why would they not want my future business?

They were great for urgent small plumbing issues- but TERRIBLE for re- modeling. First, they threw all the refuse in my front yard with no warning that they were not going to haul away anything. Second, they installed my tub, but it was VERY un- level. So I asked them to come back. They mumbled something about using stray pieces of tile as a shim, and I asked them not to do that, they STILL used ceramic tiles (which break)!!! to shim the tub and it’s STILL not level!! How can I lay tile above an un- level tub? And an un- level tub will have water pooling in the wrong places etc. In summary, individual plumbers were very good for clogs, etc, but forget anything where installation or rennovation is needed.

The last phone call we received from you was during the installation - during which, leveling the bathtub was discussed. As was agreed upon, our technicians returned to your home the following day to continue the project. We have not received any other phone communication from you since then. A chain of emails between you and our accounting office, spanning almost a year, included no complaint concerning our technicians or the work that was completed. Had we known that you were dissatisfied with our work, we would have been happy to return to your home to make it right. As for the refuse being left in your yard, that is certainly not how TriState Home Services operates. It is protocol for all trash to be removed immediately upon completion of a project. Our plumbing manager recalls that you told the technicians to leave the trash in the yard and that you would have it taken care of it. The repair went quickly, and the technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. He notified me about some parts that were showing wear that were still working and was honest with me about them not necessarily needing to be replaced now since they were still in spec, which I deeply appreciated. He also advised me on how I can keep the system in good condition, and recommended I set aside some money for a new unit in the future due to the overall age of the system. Overall, this was a fantastic experience, and I will most certainly call TriState again for HVAC help!

Awesome! Someone answered right away when I called and told me a technician could be here in 30 minutes. It was actually only 20 minutes when Dan arrived and he was extremely professional and pleasant. He diagnosed the problem on our two systems, explained everything thoroughly with a reasonable repair estimate, then completed the work. He was here for about an hour and now the house is nice and cool, while it’s 95 degrees outside!

I found TriState Home Services on Angies list and contacted them. Since it wasn't an emergency I scheduled them to come out the following day. The Plumber (Chris) did a great job assessing the problem with the leaky faucet and indicated that given the age of the faucet (41 years), he could attempt to repair it but wouldn't guaranty how it would last and recommended that I replace it. I agreed with his advice especially considering the price comparison of repair vs. replace - the price was reasonable. The quality of the work top notch, on time, and as promised. I would recommend TriState Home Services and will use them in the future.

They came and inspected the sump pump. They recommended for it to be replaced. I was okay with it so they replaced it. They completed within half an hour. We then discussed the bill. They agreed to take off $50 because they have an Angie's List coupon that offers $50 off. There was also a coupon for $250 off a system installation for Angie's List members. I told them of this and they said it would only apply for HVAC units and I said to them that they are more than HVAC company, they provide more services than HVAC. They did not specify that its only for HVAC. The technician agreed and said that they're going to have to change that within our website. This was extremely misleading and felt like a bait and switch.
