+ -1 moreMatt replaced the two old fixtures with two new ones, and installed LED bulbs. The work was done quickly and efficiently. I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with Mr. Meeks and his nephew. I will definitely use them as my electricians for any future electrical work I need done.
Description of Work: I needed to replace two old flushmount lights, one in the kitchen and one near the front door of my home. I had called another electrician, and after waiting more than 10 days without a reply, I decided to contact Peekskill Electric. I called and left a message and within 20 minutes I was speaking to Ken Meek, the owner. I explained my dilemma and he came by that afternoon and gave me an estimate. Not only was his estimate reasonable, he also went to Home Depot and picked up the replacement light fixtures and bulbs. The following morning, his nephew, Matt, came to my house and installed the fixtures.

+ -1 moreIt went wonderful! I needed some light fixtures replaced and checked Angie's List (AL) for some local contractors. I found Peepskill Electric was local and had many positive reviews and a discount for AL members so I sent a message thru the AL web site. I got a phone call within 20 minutes and Kenny (owner) was at my house 40 minutes later to give me an estimate. Wow!. He gave me an estimate of 250. I told him I would purchase the fixtures and let him know when I was ready for the installation. I made the purchase and left a message for Kenny on Friday that I had made my purchases and to put me on his schedule. He messaged me back asking if Monday at 8;15 would work. Another Wow. Kenny and Matt (his associate) showed up promptly at 8:15, completed the work, cleaned up and took away all the non working parts. My final invoice was for 213.75 with the AL coupon. Kenny and Matt are both very personable and professional. I couldn't be happier with their work and work ethic. I will most certainly use them in the future and will recommend them when the opportunity arises.

Description of Work: We wanted to have a floor outlet installed in our family room. When I called Peekskill Electric, I explained that the floor below the family room was a finished room. They said they would come out to look and discuss it with us. After seeing the finished room below the family room, they did not recommend the floor outlet because of all the cutting necessary in the ceiling under the floor. They said it would look like Swiss cheese. They did say they would look on line to see if any other ideas could be recommended. We never heard back from them. They did not charge us for the visit but they also did not follow up on suggesting any alternative ideas. Since they didn't do any work for us, I can not rate them.

Description of Work: Kenny came to my home to fix some wiring in my basement. I had a wall of dead outlets and no lights on one side. He found some issues with the electrical feeds and fixed everything same day. I'm very happy with how quickly the basement was fixed, but also Kenny is very personable and I felt 100% comfortable with him in my home. I would definitely call him again for future electrical work.

Description of Work: We have an older home with outdated electrical wiring and needed to have re-wiring, outlets updated, and a new, upgraded breaker box installed. Part of our home contains a crawl space where work needed to be done, along with the attic area.Peekskill Electric took ownership of the job and was on time from the moment I contacted them. The estimated cost and work was done just as they stated. They were professional and courteous and went above and beyond our expectations.
