Mr. Handyman of North and West Central MD

I needed to have a window balance replaced. When he completed the initial estimate, I needed to have two window balances replaced because he broke a second one. I was charged to the parts and labor to replace both. Costs are not disclosed. For example, I was charged $198.89 for MH.MRE.605.0100 and $115.90 for MH.MTA.000.0004. Eventually I found out that the $115.90 was to locate and pick up the parts. There was also a Service Charge. When I asked what that was for, I was told "a fee for lack of a better term." My original estimate was for $300.13 but I ended up paying $412.78. There are better and more transparent options than Mr. Handyman.

Was just ok

Work was done carefully and on time. Only a few minor issues (for example, covers for the area where toilet is screwed to the floor were missing) but they got the big stuff right.

I would never call here again for service.

Very professional work, expert tradesman...I am very satisfied with the final result of my garage storage install!

The time frame and estimate were absolutely off by a lot . I hired Mr Handyman to remove and replace my kitchen backsplash, change kitcnen light bulbs,, change batteries in the smoke detectors, hang a mirror and clean out the dryer vent. I was told the job would take 2 days between 4-6 hrs per day. The actual job too 5 and 1/4 days. The first technician said he did not know how to install backsplash tile. He also said he did not know how to clean a clothes dryer vent. He did change the batteries, hang the mirror, change the light bulbs, and removed the old backsplash. The next guy on the next day came through the door stating this is going to cost at least $1,000. He had to prep the walls and place the tiles. That took 3 days. And may I add the tiles were not cut straight, leaving gaps between the tile line and the cabinets. The third guy came on Friday to grout. On Monday the third guy came and applied the caulk. Don't use Mr Handyman for anything. The front office does not really know what the are talking about when the give an estimate on time and money. They also don't know what their technicians really are capable of doing.

Prompt, efficeient, friendly. Removed old vanity, installed new one, including new faucet and all plumbing. Done quickly and well.

Horrible experience. After repeated being assured my refrigerator would be repaired by customer service, the repair technician was unable to do anything with my unit. Yet, I have still been charged the full trip charge of almost $200. This company is really just a pass through that skims 2-3 times the technician charge off the top. You can do much better calling a service company directly.

They were prompt, friendly and did a great job answering any questions.

This is the second time that Jimmy has repaired kitchen cabinetry at my house. His work was done professionally, with excellent results. He is both pleasant and professional, and I greatly appreciate his help with these projects.
