Very pleased with the service from Mike's Appliance. Paul, the technician, was very punctual and responsive, and very knowledgeable about my refrigerator. As he completed the work he explained what he was doing and why the problem occurred. The minimum charge was also cheaper than the first company I called. I originally called Sears to repair my Kenmore Elite. I had an appointment between 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, by 12:30, no one arrived and I did not receive a call. I figured the technician was behind schedule, but it would have been nice to get a call. I called up Sears Service Center; they had me on hold for 15 minutes, and then transferred me to a dispatch center person. The dispatch center person said she could only send a text message to the technician and hopefully, they will call you back. I asked if there was a way to know for sure when they will arrive because it's already an hour after the time block. Her suggestion was to cancel or reschedule the appointment even though I'd already waited for 5 hours on a work day. The technician calls about 2 pm and said he had a busy day and wasn't sure what time he would arrive. I said okay, went to Angie's List found Mike's Appliance Service and spoke with Paul who immediately set me up with an appointment. Before I got off the phone, the Sears repair technician show's up (about 10 minutes after speaking with him) and said since I had a problem with him being late he came to my house before another appointment he had. I sent him away and called Paul back. I must say it was a wise decision on my part.

They were able to come out within one day of the intial phone call to complete the repair. They were also able to accomidate my wife and I schedule and come out in the evening.

He came in quickly fixed the gas stove. He knew what he was doing and was knowledgeable. While he was here, I asked him to check the dryer. There was a break in the vent area. The landlords are not fixing that problem yet but he did replace the vent elbow where it exhausts the warm air outside. He was very reasonable and did not charge me for work that did not need doing.

Very good-neither were urgent repairs, but they came out the day after I called. They "happened" to have the exact right handle to fix our dishwasher (they asked for full model and serial numbers of the equipment to try to be prepared and prevent multiple trips). I gave a B on professionalism as they didn't explain any detail about fixing the fridge to my wife, although were very courteous-maybe slightly gruff, and I doubt she asked a lot of detail (that I wanted her to-about the fridge). They worked efficiently and didn't feel like they were trying to run up a bill. Mike has been running on our neighborhood listserv for quite a while now with recommendations- which is how we came to call them. We would not hesitate to use them again when we have the need.

It was a very good experience. He showed up on time and finished the work in a timely manner. He also cleaned up well when he was done. I would use him again in the future.

The service was just outstanding. It was beyond expectations! He came twice to fix the problem and finished everything in a timely fashion.

Mike was very good. He arrived promptly, diagnosed the problems, and fixed them. He also gave good advice on maintenance. His price seemed very reasonable.

I liked Mike, and felt he was competent and honest. The person doing his scheduling was also very good.

Mike called me when he was on his way to my house so I could stay at work as long as possible. He was very honest about the problems with the washer and whether it paid to fix it. He also gave me some information on front-loading vs. top-loading washers. His cost for an estimate is reasonable.

MIKE HAS REPAIRED/REPLACED APPLIANCES FOR US FOR THE LAST 20 YEARS. HE IS FAST, EFFICIENT, INEXPENSIVE, ARRIVES WHEN HE SAYS HE WILL AND TELLS YOU THE TRUTH ABOUT WHETHER YOU SHOULD FIX OR REPLACE AN APPLIANCE.
