The process was plagued by COVID restrictions, having to depend on County inspctor schedules and BGE availability and weather, but the Long team was flexible and reacted to every situation. I solicited bids for a whole house generator from seven companies. living in an older neighborhood with overhead power lines and large trees, weâ ve had numerous and sometimes extended power outages. A backup, automatic generator though pricey gives us peace of mind. Long Electric gave us the most thorough estimate, the best price and maintenance contract. Production bottlenecks from manufacturers due to Covid, meant that we had to wait almost three months for a 22kw General generator to be available, but Melissa kept us updated regularly about all the different aspects of installation, permitting and inspections, scheduling everything conveniently. Jamie and Kevin did a most professional final electrical install and the owner, Jason, gave us a tutorial on the generator and itâ s functions while meeting the inspector for the final sign off. I was working on my next happy homeowner project outside on Wednesday, when the generator performed its first automatic, weekly self test exactly as scheduled. All in all very pleased with our decision to hire Long Electric. Plan on using them again to wire a small addition project in the spring.

Should up promptly and fixed are short in the electric panel, i would recommend using them.

I can't say enough good things about Long Electrics 24kw installation on our property. From start to finish they were excellent to work with. Long Electric goes above and beyond, here's how: 1. Generator maintenance: They have a thorough checklist, make a log of all repairs and replacements and then -- they clean the generator inside and out. We have had generators for 15 years and no other company took the time to clean the thing -- AND they're less expensive than most other electrical contractors. 2. Long Electric has always been at the house within 12 hours of a call for service. Example: We suffered a lightening strike to the house, which damaged anything in the house with a mother board, including the generator. Patrick, the master electrician who services our house, was here within 12 hours and installed surge protectors, repaired several GFI outlets that had been fried, got our electrical situation straightened out in one day. 3. A week after the lightening strike we lost power and found that the generator's mother board got fried due to the lightening strike and Patrick was able to diagnose it, repair and and get us back up in one day. Call Long Electric -- they'll install it or repair it in short order and have you back to normal. We would't go to another company.

Long electric was great in walking us through the process, providing a detailed estimate, and completing the installation process as quick as possible.
