They promptly and professionally repaired, coated and recoated the deck to a like-new (but different) condition at a reasonable price. We are very pleased. And our Liberty contact, Richard, was solicitous (of course), straight-forward, professional and followed through on all aspects of our discussions on the work. Recommend this Company highly.
Description of Work: Liberty Glass and Woodworking of Frederick, Maryland resurfaced our 16-year-old deck a few months ago and did an outstanding job.

Very well. The negotiations on a contract were pleasant and professional. Rain delayed the Liberty workmen twice, but they returned promptly and completed the work in fine order. They repaired and sanded the deck surface, then applied the resurfacing material. A few days later they returned for a second coating and touch-up. The deck looked like new, although with a different appearance. We are very pleased. And our Liberty contact, Richard, was solicitous (of course), straight-forward, professional and followed through on all aspects of our discussions on the work. Recommend this Company highly.

This job took a long time to get started, commencing about two months after my down payment. Apparently it took a long time for the windows to come in from the factory, but while I was waiting I wasn't kept as informed as I would have liked. In the end, I'm pretty happy with my new windows. Terry Grimes was Type A about some aspects of the job and Type C about others. He was Type A about the living room window, as that one has a twenty floor drop to deal with. He was type C about the bedroom window that faces into the balcony, resulting in it being undersized and requiring more shimming, trimming, and caulking than usual. He and his workers were neat about some things and messy about others. The final product looks good (after I cleaned up). The window mechanism is very smooth. A decibel meter tells with that the windows are cutting down the sound of the Red Line by a little over a factor of 2 compared with the old windows. When winter comes, I'll be able to say something about energy efficiency.
Description of Work: I live on the 19th floor of a 20 story condo. I replaced the triple panel slider window (107" x 61") in the living room, the double panel slider in a bedroom (71" x 61") and the 20" x 64" glass panels in both balcony doors, one of them with built-in mini blinds. The job replaced the entire metal framing, not just the glass. The goal was to improve sound proofing and energy efficiency.

This was a large and complex job that required both experience and expertise that seems relatively hard to find. Everything went smoothly. In a first visit, precise measurements were made to order and fabricate the replacement panels, and when these arrived - in about a week - Liberty needed to find two successive days with good weather to do the job. In a few days, the opportunity came, and the crew finished the whole installation in two days with minimal mess and inconvenience. Moreover, the job was paced so that the house was never open to the elements for more than an hour or so. This was an expensive repair, but it was worth it. I can see out again! - and my kitchen is a lot brighter.
Description of Work: Essentially rebuilt a large glass bay window off my kitchen. The double-pane insulated glass - much of it tempered - had fogged over over the years and needed to be replaced. The job required removing the old glass, fabricating replacement panels, and installing them with careful sealing. Liberty also repaired and repainted the redwood framing.
