Only complaint is did not use skylights with wood trip that fit exactly as the old skylights.

They did an excellent job. The clean up was very well done. I did have to remind the owner after the job was finished to complete some flashing but he came right out and did it immediately. Very professional and friendly service!

On the night of 9/8/11, during the heavy rains from the tropical storm, I discovered water leaking through the ceiling in a bedroom. On the morning of 9/9, I called several roofing companies based on Angie's List reviews. One said they couldn't come out for two weeks! When I called E R, Eliot said that he could have someone here that afternoon. Roberto arrived shortly after 1:00 p.m. and quickly diagnosed the problem: a cracked vent pipe collar. He installed new collars on all three roof vents and I haven't had any leaks since.

Elliott was a very good communicator in our process. He had told me he would come out to look at my problem (a leaking roof) on one of 2 days. He ended up not being able to come the first day and called to let me know. He was on time for the inspection of the problem and ended up being able to work in my repair prior to his going on vacation. He was able to find the problem right away and gave me 2 options. One was a less expensive temporary fix. I opted for the long term fix. He guaranteed his work for a year. After the hurricane I had a small leak in the same place and he came right out and fixed that for me. I would recommend Elliott. He was professional to work with and is good at what he does.

I called ER Roofing to inspect and repair a small roof leak. I was connected to voicemail on my initial call, but Elliott called me back within a few minutes. I described my leak and that I was on a tight time limit due to the pending sale of my house. He was very professional during our conversation, thoroughly explaining the process and his fees, and we set a tentative appointment for the following day. Although Elliott was to call me around 8:00 AM the following morning to confirm a time, I never heard from him. I called him later in the morning and again the following day, leaving messages both times, but he didn't return the calls. I wish he had told me up front that he wasn't interested or was too busy for a small job instead of just wasting my time.

This company performed extensive siding and gutter replacement, and minor roofing repair after a storm damaged the rear of the house in July of 2010. The work was quite satisfactory and timely. Several months ago I called them to inspect and possibly repair or replace a gutter in the front of the house. Twice they set a date and time for someone to come over and provide an estimate; no one showed up either time, and they never called back. Then I noticed that the end of the gutter they had installed in the rear had pulled out from the house several inches, taking some of the downspout with it. I sent them an email, (there is a 5 year warranty on labor performed) and explained the problem. Again no response. We gave up on them and had to call in another contractor. I rate them as non-responsive, and the warranty as useless.

Needed to have existing roof replaced since there were already 2 layers of shingles, there were missing shingles due to wind, there were soft spots on the roof and the existing shingles had extensive algae growths on it. Also needed to have a deteriorated rake board replaced. I tried contacting the company using Angie's List E-mail Provider feature which is supposed to guarantee a response from the company within 2 hours. No one from the company contacted me within the 2 hour time limit so I called the company. Elliott answered the phone and he acknowleged receiving the request from Angie's and he was planning to call me later in the day. At no time did he offer an apology. When I asked to arrange an appointment for an estimate, he told me he was busy and asked if he could call me back later. I told him I wasn't available, he relented and we arranged a date. Elliott arrived on-time for our appointment. He informed me about the process of removing the existing roof and installing the new roof. He also answered all the questions I had. Since I was very concerned about any debris left behind he assured that he would take the necessary steps to minimize the debris and what he would do to clean up afterwards. He told me he would email me the quote. He also promised to keep us informed every step of the way and it would be 2-3 weeks before he had an opening on his schedule. When I received the quote, there wasn't any word about the coupon offered on Angie'ls List website, was applied or not. When I asked him about the coupon, he said it was already included. I believe this is misleading. When I emailed him with follow up questions I had, it would take multiple days before he responded. It took a while for us to make a decision but until we did, he was professional and followed up with us asking if we had any questions or made a decision. We mailed him the contract with our deposit. A week went by and we hadn't heard from Elliott so I contacted him and verified that he received our deposit. I had to ask him when the installation date was scheduled for. Then 4 days before the scheduled date, I had to contact him again to find out when the shingles and dumpster was scheduled to arrive. He told me they scheduled for the next day and to make sure the driveway was clear. It only took them about 5 hours to do everything. I arrived after the crew left. So I went up on the roof to inspect. I was surprised to find a lot of debris and loose nails laying on the roof and in the gutters after the assurances I was given about the attention they give to cleaning up. I also found more debris around the house than I was expecting. I was also very disappointed with the installation of the new rake board. I immediately noticed the ends of the boards were not primed, they bent several nails used to secure the rake board and where the rake board ends near the gutter there is a 3/4" - 1" space between the rake board and the wood that it is secured to. It looks very sloppy and unprofessional. It left me with the impression that they were more concerned with speed than attention to detail. I also noticed that were gaps in the drip edges. I emailed Elliott expressing my concerns, questions and disappointment in the workmanship. I told him I would take care of the rake board. Its been a about a week now and I have of yet to hear a response from him. I expected a lot from this company since it is a Super Service Award winnter. I am very disappointed in the lack of communication Elliot has shown. I would be hesitant in recommending this company.

Fantastic! From the first time I contacted ER roofing through the end of the project I only have good things to say. Here's a list of all the things I liked about working with ER Roofing: Elliot was easy to reach and communicated well, his estimate and final bill were identical (no surprises!) He showed up on time, Sometimes when scheduling home improvements you get an estimate from one person and assume that that person will be doing the work and then some other person shows up to do the work. That was not the case with Elliot. He and two additional workers did the job and Elliot was present and working the whole time. They did good work! They completed the work in the time allotted. Elliot was HONEST. It's really difficult to know if someone is being honest with you when giving estimates for home repairs, especially if you don't know how much things are supposed to cost or what exactly needs to be done. After meeting with 6-8 different roofers, Elliot was the only one who was completely honest and didn't try to sell me additional services that weren't necessary. All the other roofers tried to sell me on an entire new roof (I knew the back of the house was done right before we bought our house and didn't need to be done yet, but I wanted to see how honest various potential roofers were, so I didn't let on that I knew that), Elliot was the only one to say without my telling him first that the roof on the back of the house didn't need to be replaced. Other roofers also tried to pressure me into various other bells and whistles. Elliot didn't. They cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Elliot just struck me as a nice, decent guy and his workers were also nice and polite. As a stay home mom of 3 young children who were home while the work was being done, this was important to me. My kids had a great time watching the trucks/ladders and I felt completely comfortable.

The quality of the workmanship was good. We did have to call them back for a leak repair, and he sent people back to repair it. We have been pleased with the overall work. One thing I would mention is that he originally mentioned a discount and then we had to call him on it later on to receive the discount. He was very responsive and easy to communicate with. I would use him again.

Looked over the roof and gave us a estimate that was good for the next 3-4 years. They were very honest on the cost, labor, and time it would take to roof the house.

Checked Angie's list, received quotes from three roofers. ER was the middle price, but, because he was local, we went with him.

Overall, I would hire them again.

Elliot was very prompt in his estimate, responses, and on time when we finalized a start date. He was agreeable to delay the start date when I had to push the work back because of my wife's illness.

Overall it was a good experience. E.R. roofing company showed up on time and did a great job my house looks amazing. They put a new roof on my house, installed 12 windows and put new siding on, in a little less than one week. They showed up with all the materials they needed to do the job and when they were finnished my house was cleaner than it was before they came. I would recomend E.R. Roofing Company to everyone.

They were very nice and responsive. They were punctual and did a good job. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

He was the worst contractor I've ever had. He didn't return emails or calls. He came 3 days later than what he said. He was highly recommended, but I had to have someone else do work he had missed. He said that work wasn't in the contract, then he said he would write a new contract, and it never arrived. I was racing with the clock to get my house on the market, and he held me up 3 weeks. He put a roof on over my sun room, and after they did the roof, an existing awning hadn't been re-installed by them properly and was dangerous. He didn't have the courtesy to call or contact me about all of this until I sent him a copy of what I was sending to the BBB, then he contacted me (after at least two weeks of trying to get ahold of him). His workers were very good, as well as being very conscientious, but he as a contractor was awful and difficult to work with and didn't do what I hire him for. The siding work they did was good, but the skylight, roof and resulting awning problem was bad.

During the winter of 2009-10, I had an ice dam problem, with many leaks onto the ceiling of my living room, dining room and bedroom. Inspectors for the insurance company told me that the prior roofing job was not done properly in that the asphalt shingles did not properly overlap, and I did not have a proper "facing" behind the gutter. The prior contractor, Brothers Roofing, refused to acknowledge a problem in their workmanship. Mr. Wireman's company removed all of the old shingles and put ice guard over the entire northern half of the roof. His price was significantly lower than other contractors who were favorably rated on Angie's List. I was well pleased with the work done by Mr. Wireman's company.

They were the lowest bidder of the 3 businesses that we contacted that I had gotten off Angie's List. In their presentations also they were the most thorough and the easiest to work with in terms of being willing to do what we asked and explaining what they were recommending. The only complaint I had was that they took a while to get back with me. Apparently they were really busy. I had called them and they were the last ones to call me back to give me an estimate. When we did go with them, it took them about 2 months before they actually could start the job. Their price was excellent. The crew was really great. They cleaned up really well.

I selected ER Roofing as a prospective bidder from Angie's List, I'd not having used their services before, but, their ratings were impressive. I was very pleased with the results as indicated by their having received well-deserved top marks from me in all categories. The presence of the owner on the job daily assured me that the job would be well managed and this was indeed the case. ER employs its own workers (not subs) and this added to the efficiency of the work being done right and on time. The owner was professional in all respects, responsive and very knowledgeable about our job requirements, and got the job done in minimal time and on budget.

Overall - very satisfied. One thing though. I noticed that the flashing was a bit bent up and I call ed him to come back and correct it as it didn't look good from the street. he said he would, but must have forgotten. I did! I never called him back. But he did an excellent job, very polite and knowledge. I would like to add that I had another company, very reputable company, give a quote for repairing my roof before i called ER. This company had repaired the garage roof before. The estimator came out, said that the leak was in the corner where the roof meets the house. But because there were bees there he would not repair the roof until the bee were gotten rid of. He quoted $700 to repair the roof. I'm glad I didn't have him do it as the roof would not have been fixed. He never discovered the indentation in the roof where it was leaking and he never found out that the roof had no lining underneath, and he had previously repaired my roof.

We had a huge problem with ice damming - with water pooling in the attic and eventually ruining drywall in our home. Elliott came out quickly, recommended removing the first 3 feet of shingles and installing an ice/water shield under new shingles. We had another company recommend replacing the roof, but felt a smaller scale approach seemed more appropriate since the roof was relatively new (3 years). The work was completed as agreed, and the guys did an okay job. It was a little messy - they did not clean up very well after finishing, and the edge of the roof did not look exactly right. Then when we had the second major snow storm of the season, the roof once again began leaking, with water flowing down and out of the light fixtures in our bedroom. We called the company who had originally suggested replacing the roof, thinking that our initial "cheap" route was too conservative. But when the roofer came out, he showed us that the ice and water shield simply wasn't installed correctly, and recommended that we call the person who installed it and have them fix the problem. So we called Elliott - he sent someone out to rake snow off the first foot of the roof, and asked us to call him back when the snow melted. We called a few weeks later and he never responded. Spring and summer came and went, and we forgot about it until fall, when I contacted him again to ask about having him check the work to make sure we'd be okay through the upcoming winter. He recommended (via email, without coming to see the roof) caulking the gap between the roof and the ice and water shield. I did not even get a chance to respond to the email or speak with him about it - when I came home that day, the caulk had been applied. And it looks terrible. It does not match the color of the surrounding material, there are gaps in several places, and it seems like the person who applied it did not even bother to wipe the excess off. To make matters worse, after the last small snowstorm (6inches), I now have a new leak in one of the places that he "repaired." I won't be calling them back to fix the problem because after two experiences with them, I am not at all confident in their ability to manage this simple task. Needless to say, I am extremely irritated and would not recommend this company to anyone for anything.

The guys were great. Very friendly and professional. They arrived right on time and my house looks great! The bid on the roof and siding was very reasonable and I hope to use him again very soon for new windows. I would definitely recommend Elliott and his team.

At the time I thought he was going to fix the problem. I actually tried to contact him a couple of months ago and he would not respond to my inquiry. I wouldn't recommend him.

They did a thorough and prompt job. They checked the roof and gave me some advice. I was pleased with their promptness and service.
