After our last snow fall, I noticed a water stain appear in our living room ceiling (vaulted, no upstairs). Since our roof is old and will probably need to be replaced in the next year or two, I figured we'd just patch the problem now to tide us over. I purchased this Big Deal from Angie's list and immediately called the contractor and scheduled an appointment. When he arrived (on time), I was not able to speak with him directly, but he spoke with my husband. My husband showed him the water stain and our concerns. The roofer went up on the roof, did who knows what, and was gone in 20 minutes. !!! The only thing the receipt said was that he caulked. I called later to figure out exactly what was done and how he could justify charging me $350 for caulking. He never called me back. Furthermore, he didn't say what was caulked, what type of caulk was used, when and if it would have to be repeated; he gave us no indication of the state of our shingles, or where the water was coming in from. Just... nothing.

It went well but I cannot believe that this service was worth anything close to the $1185 that Angie's List purported it to be. Elliott did not seem to know what the Angie's List coupon covered, which I thought was strange. But he graciously changed his schedule to accommodate our availability which I appreciated. He and one other guy arrived right on time. I confirmed with Elliott what was covered by the coupon, and showed him a leak in our kitchen ceiling and told him our previous contractor's assessment of the problem. The guys spent about 20-30 minutes on the roof. Elliott showed me iphone photos of what they repaired and showed me where he thought my kitchen leak was coming from. I really appreciated the photos. I would use this company again, but I would get an estimate before purchasing another Angie's List coupon. I have a feeling I could have gotten these repairs done even more cheaply than $349.

Another company was installing heat shields in the attic and noticed 7 feet of "ridge line" shingles were missing because light was coming through. Fortunately it apparently had not been that way too long because no mold or extensive damage. Went on Angies list on 3-11-13, found this company with good reviews and special, texted the guy and left a message, sent a pic all on my phone. we were concerned and needed it repaire immediately because there was rain forecasted all day on 3-12-13. He called me first thing in the morning and repaired it immediately without us even being at home because it was paid for via PayPal right on Angies list site. Excellent service. Highly recommend this company.

They came to the house the day after we bought the Big Deal/contacted them. We pointed out the trouble spots, they looked and advised that 1) the repairs they would recommend would go well over the coupon amount and 2) they recommend a new roof anyway. In all the visit lasted less than 15 minutes. The coupon indicated that minor repairs (i.e. replace up to 10 shingles, caulk exposed nails) would be done. Since no repair work was done we've asked for a full refund. Pros: They came quickly. They were onsite within a day of buying the Big Deal. Cons: They did not seem to understand what the coupon covered. Even if they felt we needed an entire new roof, the coupon still states that they should repair a 2x2 section, replace up to 10 shingles, caulk as needed etc. If they'd pulled out a hammer and replaced a few shingles I'd likely not be requesting a refund. This turned into an overpriced roof inspection. I would have been satisfied even with their recommendation for a new roof if in the meantime they did small repairs as listed in the coupon.

I am going with another vendor.

I wasn't happy with them. I bought an offer that they had. However, when they came, they said that the offer is not valid because I had another sort of roof, which I don't think it was. Therefore, I had to cancel that offer. Then they gave me another price, but the work they did was very little work for a lot of money and I think that would have been covered with the first offer that they had from Angie's List. I wouldn't call them again.

Great company. They were out there at 7AM each morning. Job took two days. They cleaned up very well and everything was done on schedule. Roof looks great and they even replaced some rotted shakes I had on the house. Elliott was great to work with. I did have to make contact with him most of the time to set things up and to check in on stuff but he always emailed or called back. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone else in the future. Job well done ER Roofing.

Great experience. It was a busy time for roofers (right after Sandy) - but Elliott came out exactly when he said he would to do the estimate. Got back to us quickly with a number - his estimate was very fair and lower than any of the other estimates we received from other companies. The lower price definitely result in lower quality work. We were very pleased with the quality of the work. Elliott is laid-back, so no pressure. He talked with us about different options but didn't recommend the most expensive option. Very pleased with the process and the outcome. Highly recommend ER Roofing and would work with them again.

We purchased a 50 year old cape cod home. The inside was completely done, but the outside needed a new roof, windows, and vinyl siding. We were on a time table because we were moving out of our old home and needed to get into the new one after the work was completed. (this was during the holiday of Thanksgiving) We met with 3 different companies at the home for estimates. One of the (big) contractors spent 2 hours trying to upsell us. The 2nd never gave us a complete estimate for the work. When we met with Elliott of ER Roofing. He was at our home when he said he would be there. He listened to what we wanted. We had he costs within a day or two emailed to us. He made everything very simple and easy. He did exactly what he said he would do. And the best part ( he was the most affordable) for the same products. The home is beautiful. The work was excellent. Clean up was incredible. We are extremely pleased with ER Roofing and the job that we received. I would highly recommend this company . The experience we had with them far exceeded our expectations. Overall, this was a very positive experience, I really appreciated Elliott's honest opinion about the current state of my roof with regard to not needing to replace my roof now but to consider it a couple of years down the road. An honest man who provides quality work, that's what I found with Elliott and ER Roofing, thanks!

. I was very satisfied with overall.

They showed up a little after 9:00am and were done around 3:30pm. They were very professional and cleaned up all of the debris from the yard when they were finished. Partway through the day, they realized that they needed to replace more bad sheathing than they estimated. We worked out what the additional charge would be on the spot and it didn't slow down their progress too much. I was a little surprised at some of the debris that was left in the attic (though i didn't realize this until many weeks later when i went into the attic for something. They also left some unused shingles at the house. After leaving multiple messages with no response, they finally picked them up a couple months later when they happened to be working on another house on our street. Overall the price was really good compared to other offers, and the quality was pretty good as well.

These folks were great. They showed up on time and explained me what they were planning to do and fixed it quickly. Few of my shingles were blown off by Sandy storm. Elliot told me that, the shingles we had were no longer were available so they took the shingles from my rear side of the house and move it to the front and patched the rear ones. Overall it was great experience working with them. Then came the payment, he had given me a discount on top of the estimated amount which I mistook it for additional amount, I was so happy I did not pay attention to the bill so I wrote the check for 350. I guess even he did not see , he came back after few minutes and told me that it was 250 not 350. I am very much impressed with them , I will definitely recommend them to my friends and colleagues. I can't comment on the quality of his work because we couldn't even get him out here to do an estimate! This is after hurricane Sandy so of course all the roofers are very busy but its completely unprofessional to not even respond to a client's requests.

I called E & R Roofing, talked to Elliot. He was great on the phone. He came out, he was this young guy who was real unassuming and low key. I was going to choose him anyway, I just had a good feeling about him. His price ended up being $2,000 less than The Home Wise Pros. They did a really good job. They did it within one day. They cleaned up very quickly. They did a great job and he was very nice.

Collected three bids -- Elliott was the only one to actually go on the roof to estimate the job. Fair price and excellent work. Great crew -- polite and professional. I would absolutely use them again.

Overall, ER Roofing was very responsive in a time when contractors were very busy fielding a lot of calls. Service was prompt and well done. Great job. I would definitely call them again for any future roofing needs and recommend them highly to anyone else with similar needs.

Initially, the contractor and I had some difficulty meeting up for one reason or another, but we eventually did. He and his co-worker installed the four vents. They did not clean up after themselves inside, but the bathroom itself was under construction so I wouldn't really count this against them. They did clean up everything from the roof when they were done with the work. So far so good. I recently noticed a leak around one of the vents, luckily the full ceiling had not been installed where this vent exited the roof. I removed the insulation to see the leak. I began trying to contact the contractor 4 days before hurricane Sandy, emailed to the email address we first were communicating to each other through, called and left a message and have since emailed through Angies List and again called and left another message. I have been trying to reach the contractor for approximately 11 days and have not received any calls or emails in reply. I looked him up again on Angies list and noticed another customer called AFTER the hurricane and received a call back in 30 minutes. Must have been a new potential customer. Apparently the contractor believes that once the work is done they feel no need to address workmanship problems. They installed vents, one is leaking, the refuse to reply to my emails and phone calls. 11 DAYS and nothing. I gave the contractor a chance to address my concerns prior to posting this review and indeed in my last email to him, I clearly indicated that I would be writing a review if I hadn't heard from him. He was warned. The contractor is Elliott Wireman. If he decides to read his reviews, I would appreciate it if he would contact me so he can fix the leak his work directly caused in my roof. Otherwise i will be forced to pay for someone ELSE to fix his less than stellar workmanship.

We had some shingles blow off due to Hurricane Sandy. I got their number and called. They returned my call within 30 minutes and scheduled the work. They were able to perform the job to our satisfaction within a reasonable time frame and kept in communication with us until they arrived.

I had spots on the ceiling of my family room around the chimney; I assumed the flashing needed to be recaulked. I contacted a roofer who had replaced my roof 4 years ago; the roofer scheduled an estimate 3 weeks from my call. Because they had delivered excellent service before, I was resigned to wait for both the estimate and the repair (which would have followed in 1-2 weeks). The day of the estimate appointment, I rushed home to be there at the appointed time; the contractor called to say he was 1-1.5 hours away and questioned whether he should come late or reschedule. I was so irritated, did not want to rearrange my work schedule again and further delay the repair, so I canceled the appt entirely.... I searched Angie's List for another roofer. I found a company with almost 200 reviews, most excellent, and contacted them. They wanted $325 just for showing up. I looked for another company.... I decided to look for someone local. I found E R Roofing. They had only approx. 40 reviews, but 40 grade A reviews, so I called them. Elliott Wireman said he would swing by to look at my roof 1.5 days, and if the flashing needed only to be recaulked, would take care of the problem at the same time. I asked him how much he thought a job like this would cost; he quoted me $225. I agreed. Elliott came within a minute or two of the scheduled time. He was on and off my roof in about 20 minutes. He confirmed the caulking around the flashing was cracked, re-caulked the area and a few other ares on my roof. He charged me $175, less than what he estimated on the phoned. How often does a homeowner get that kind of honesty and service?? Elliott was courteous, professional, and attentive despite a very busy schedule. I am now awaiting 2 days of rain from Hurricane Sandy, but I expect my roof to hold tight and no more stains on my family room ceiling. Thank you, Elliott.

Their people came out promptly and replaced the collar. While they were on our roof they sealed spots on our ridge vents. We would definitely recommend them to other homeowners who need prompt professional roofing service.

He made a bad situation better. Highly recommend his services. Storm damage ruined our roof and after I got the insurance approval to replace it I contacted ER Roofing. Elliott, the owner came by personally and looked at the roof and gave us a fair estimate. The installation went well and he was willing to work with me on payment as I had to wait until my insurance check was signed by the mortgage holder after the work was completed. I was very happy with the work and the clean up. Would highly recommend him.
