Doorman of Frederick is great. Had my garage door spring break (a common problem). Called in the morning, and he came out that afternoon to fix it. Explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. Does a quality job, and uses quality materials. He oiled all the hinges and rollers and showed me ways to extend the life of the garage door. Will call again if I need work on the garage door.

Gary (The Doorman) did a great job. He was recommended by my kitchen remodeler whose judgement I respect. I was not disappointed. Let Gary check your opener and just follow his recommendations!

I called him Friday after 5 and he quoted me a price on the phone and said he could get to me on Monday. He called me on Sunday and offered to fix the garage door unfortunately I did not get the message till late. He came on Monday and replaced the extension springs on one door and installed safety lines on both doors. He also fixed the door noise (it was loud) and installed a door lock on one of the doors. He was very friendly and explained everything to me. I highly recommend Gary if anyone has any garage door problems.

I called the Doorman after fruitlessly trying to fix my garage door opener on my own.Gary (the owner) responded within 2 hours.He diagnosed the problem quickly even though my unit is an older model.I explained I had to go to work in an hour and half. He assured me he would be finished by then since he had all the necessary parts on his truck.He explained his pricing and what he had to do to repair before starting work.He completed the job in an hour and the door has never worked better. Thanks to Angie's list and contractors such as Gary for making this a painless experience.I will definitely call Gary again with any garage door issues.

I have been having on and off trouble with my garage door. At times, it would make a loud "bang" and stop but when I tried again the door would open. The door also labored as it opened or closed. I called "Doorman of Frederick" at about 11am. He told me he could come out that afternoon and would call when he was on his way, around 1:30. I got a call at 1:15, met him at the house and he arrived 5 minutes after I did, right on time. He got to work immediately and showed me what he was doing. Gary was very professional and ended up replacing one pulley, placed a few washers on various rollers, and oiled all of the rollers and pulleys and it was working great. While he was there, he gave my other door a quick look. Turns out it had a roller installed upside down from when the house was built! He fixed that, again added a few washers here and there and oiled everything. Both doors were now operating better than since I have owned the house. He even offered to help with programming the key pad to run both doors, our "home connect" in our van to run the doors etc. Gary was very pleasant, got everything working great and did so quickly and for a very reasonable price. He standard house call is $92 so all I had to pay for additionally was $4 for the one pulley.

Wonderful service. Used him on two separate occasions for garage door problems. On the first visit, not only did he fix the garage door that had the problem (broken spring), but he also tuned up the other garage door for no extra charge.Later, when came out for after the motor broke on one of the garage doors, he gave several options for repair. I decided to go ahead and have a new garage door opener installed. The new one is wonderfully quiet, has an external keypad which is handy when we have guests, and also has a motion light that automatically comes on when we walk into the garage. I love it.The owner is the person who does the service. He is VERY responsive (came over the next morning after I called in both cases). Also he could not be more professional. I HIGHLY recommend Doorman of Frederick.
