Excellent experience with this company. We had a 100 ft white oak split approx 20 ft up from ground and fall parallel across back of our house on deck and hot tub. I called 8 to 10 tree companies to come out and give me estimate for removal of this tree and recommendations for other trees in our yard (we back up to wooded park land). During the estimate meeting, Jose Alvarez(owner) tipped the scales toward his Company because of his knowledgeable recommendations based on his expertise. On the day of this appointment, his crew of six men showed up at 7:30 am and completed all of the work by 7:00 pm that evening. Our yard and driveway were left in a perfect state. This crew worked unbelievably hard and long hours that day and were a pleasure to have onsite. The two large oak trees taken down were only fifteen feet from our house and many large branches were hanging over the house. The removal of the three trees were all done manually without a crane being utilized so as to protect the driveway and yard from unnecessary damage. Jose and his crew were professional in all aspects of this job and I would use and refer them without any hesitation for any future work.

Chapingo Tree Care removed a very large tree from my property. The tree had very large limbs overhanging the house and had died this year. They also ground out the remaining stump and hauled away the wood and debris. I was very pleased with the work Chapingo did. Everyone was professional from start to finish. Jose provided me with an estimate and was able to schedule the work within a few weeks. The estimate was about the same as other bids I had received. They showed up as scheduled and completed the work as promised. (Initially they had warned me they might need to reschedule due to emergency work related to Hurricane Sandy.)

Overall, it was a positive experience. Jose Alvarez seemed very knowledgeable and even suggested that we wait until the temperature cooled down so as to not put too much stress on the trees given the large limbs we planned on removing. We had several large limbs from three large oak trees removed because they were overhanging the house. His crew also cabled several limbs of our largest oak tree together to refinforce it and cut down a medium size maple tree that was leaning towards the house. He had one crew come early in the morning and then had a second crew come in later in the morning after they finished another job they had been working on. Both crews were able to get the job done in one day. The crew shredded all of the limbs and even shredded some large branches that we hadn't had time to cut up for trash pick up. Our lot includes many large mature trees and we will definitely be using Chapingo again.

They lived up to their billing (other reviews i see here and from a couple of neighbors). they were good, fast, and cheap (inexpensive) and i would add courteous, careful, competent & thorough.

I was and still am overwhelmed as a homeowner owning the home I was raised in. Mother died and when I saw how much work was needed to, well at least, the removal of the trees that were uprooting because of age, over growth and neglect. One morning, last week, I was wakened by heavy machinery and saw that three men in hard hats wiping any trace of a tree my neighbor had no choice in removing. So I tippy toe across the street & asked the foreman, Mr. Chapingo, if two trees ( very tall & close to the house) could be removed. Then I added two large bushes because I couldn't believe his quote of $50.00 for one tree which was 15 feet tall, but easy to remove because it was about to fall and the other, another 15-17 footer, but it was over my roof and was a step to my roof and into my home to a clever thief. This was a bit more in price $350.00. But still, what a deal! So another $50. per bush and those just didn't help the Ambience of said home. Then at the last minuet an impossible 20 foot Laurel 'bush' had to go. Add another $250. and a written estimate bill with everything explained in writing. As I came back out with some cold watermelon for the men after their half hour lunch and my entire yard was clean as a whistle. I mean, I'm a widow and disabled and these men were kind and respectful and so professional I was so impressed that I felt like it was 1965. They cut, dragged, chipped and racked my yard clean! WOW! You don't see this kind of work very often. It was nice hearing Mr. Chapingo say " No problem" after every last minuet request. All done in two hours, "no problem".

Great. The crew is courteous. Jose called the day before to make sure we knew what time they would start. He also stopped by to help out and make sure the job wrapped up well. It is very easy to work with these guys and they do a great job. I wish we had called them sooner.

Called the owner, Jose, after getting referral from neighbor. He came quickly and gave me an estimate well below other services I had contacted. We agreed on a day to do the job and he (with 4 other employees) completed the job within a few hours. Cleaned up and spread the freshly ground stump (mulch) around other trees on my property. Pleasure to do business with a company who's owner comes out on every job and stands behind his work.

The fourth of these trees had fallen during a windstorm, slightly damaging my home, so Mr. Alvarez (Certified Arborist) recommended the removal of the remaining three trees due to shallow root structure and top-heavy growth. The trees were removed promptly and with no damage to either of the nearby structures. All debris and branches were cleaned up very thoroughly.

We called for an estimate. The arborist arrived promptly and gave us an estimate and scheduled the work. The crew and the arborist arrived on time and completed the work. They were very careful not to damage the existing landscaping. All debris was removed. The estimate was accurate.

Chapingo was terrific -- great price, showed up right on time, had all work complete within an hour, and cleaned up thoroughly. Got the tree down without disturbing several phone wires. Handled a hiccup with no problem and no extra charge: they couldn't fit their chipper up our alley, so instead they carried all the wood & branches up the alley. Super nice and professional. They're arborists, so they care about trees & gave us tips for what to put in to replace the tree. We couldn't recommend them more (and in fact already have to several friends).

It was priced right, they were very professional. They did exactly what was quoted. Their work was 110%.

A certified arborist examined the trees and planned the cutting. The crew arrived early on the scheduled morning, then worked hard and fast to finish by afternoon. These were two tall trees in a small back yard, so we had some concerns about our roof, but the crew saw that branches fell exactly where they should. Their cleanup was particularly thorough. At our request, they also trimmed small branches that were overhanging electric wires even though that was not in the scope of the contract. We will certainly call them again if we need additional work on our trees, as we expect.
