This is the second time we have used Chapingo Tree Care Services, and we will continue to use them for all of our tree service needs. Jose is very knowledgeable, professional and delivers on what he quotes for his service. His crew is polite , hard working and extremely efficient. They respect our property, take great care in doing the job and leave the area clean and free of debris. Chapingo is one of the best contractors we have dealt with, from a price ,quality of work and attention to their customers. Again we thank Jose and his crew for a job well done. l

The service provided was great, they were punctual and timely providing the quote and delivering service. They did a great job cleaning up all the debris that fell while trimming and the trees look great! We have recommended them to multiple people.

Jose came on time to give me an estimate. He is an outstanding and honest businessman. He gave a quote on the spot, took notes about what was to be done. Wrote up a formal estimate. He came back to do,the work at my convenience- a week later. Everything looks great. I will always call him for any of my tree care needs.

They did a lot of work. They make realistic recommendations. Sometimes people come in, they say, "Oh you need this, this, this". And you are like, "No I don't". They don't try to upsell you. We have had other tree companies come out here and oh my gosh, I'd have to mortgage my house to have my trees trimmed by the time they are done. I just want the dead branches cut off, make it look pretty so that the tree grows right. He has been doing it for years and years. It is getting a little more expensive so I think he is getting busier. It is not as easy as it was to get him to come out right away but that's good for him, his business is doing well. They are on my to do list call for the spring.

It went very well. They showed up on time and were very efficient. They completed the work in a few hours, cleaned up the debris, chipped the branches, and were gone. They had a very reasonable price compared to other quotes. I would definitely use them again.

Climber went up my huge tree in the back yard and was careful of my detached building while pruning the limbs on this tree. He dropped the big limbs via a rope, and then cleaned up the limbs dropped to the ground. Company deposited the limbs into a chipper and finished the work.

Very pleased with personal attention, work performed, and clean-up. Dedicated and diligent workers. Surprised and thankful with how "quietly" the work was performed. Very satisfied with the overall pleasant appearance this work has given our yard.

I think their prices have been certainly most reasonable. The thing is that for the same thing I can spend like a $1000 and have them come in and take the tree down with a crane but this way they take it down by sections. The only difference is that I got some pounding in the ground but I think it is worth saving the $700 so that was why I used them. I think they did a good job and they cleaned up. If we have a tree that needs just trimming then we have to make sure to tell them to just go up in the roofs. Sometimes they are busy so at times takes a while.

The two guys that did the work were very polite. They showed up as scheduled, impressive for a morning appointment considering the traffic.

Hired Chapingo to prune 30 trees and to straighten 3 trees that were pushed sideways in Hurricane Sandy. Jose (owner) came out the same day I called to provide an estimate. I needed the job done ASAP because I had a fence being replaced along the tree line. Jose provided a very reasonable estimate and said they could do the job when I needed it done. On the day of the job, Jose's crew showed up on time with 4 workers and they immediately started the pruning. They were very careful and deliberate with their trimming so that the trees would be shaped appropriately and would also grow back healthier. The crew were all courteous and extremely hard working, spending approximately 9 hours to complete the job. At the end of the day the trees needing to be straightened could not be because Jose said they had re-established roots. He offered a discount on the job or a highly discounted price to remove those trees and grind the stumps, which is what we did. I Highly recommend Chapingo Tree.

Jose, the owner, came right on time to review the need and issue a proposal. I had solicited 5 proposals. One never showed. One was so costly that it wasn't even in the ballpark. Three were more costly than Jose's proposal. We set a date for the following Friday (6/20/14) and Jose and the crew were there promptly when specified. Jose explained all of what was need to his forman. There were three workers total (a working forman, another up in the tree, and one on the ground to receive large branches. These trees were very tall and expansive. Some of the cuts (which I wanted done also) were for 1 1/2 inches. I had specified that I wanted all branches on the ground since I wanted to use them for firewood. They piled the branches in large piles within easy reach for me to trim and cut them. The job was professional from start to finish. Took about 5 hours. They worked continuously except for 1/2 hour for lunch. Needless to say, I am VERY pleased with the job done. The following week, I asked Jose to come out again to give advice on several other trees on the property. His advice on 2 of them was to leave them as they are (even though he would make money on cutting them) and he provided valuable advice on the other trees gratis. All in all, this was a professional job with pleasant and diligent workers. Well done!

Jose gave me a proposal March 4th and I hired Chapingo 2 days later. They couldn't come until March 25. After working for an hour or so on March 25 they left due to bad weather. I called them a week later since I hadn't heard from them and finally got them to come April 3rd. I went around with Jose when he did the proposal and again when he came to do the work to make sure we were on the same page. When he "finished" he had drastically trimmed my beautiful oaks which I had not wanted. I had just wanted the dead and/or damaged limbs removed. He took one side of two other trees and called that cutting them down for which he charged me. The remaining half of at least one of those trees he cut half way thru the remaining trunk. So not only did he not cut down the tree like discussed, he left the tree in very bad condition. (I brought that up to him in a follow up phone call and he said he would come by and look but 3 weeks later I have still not heard from him) The other "half cut down" tree that he counted as cutting down he cut into the remaining half of the tree less so that wasn't as bad although still not what I hired him to do. He did not cut the dead limbs out of the other trees like we discussed which was the impetus for getting him in the first place. Before he left I did a quick look at the work he had done and I asked why he had left a 4 foot tall stump from one of the trees. He said "Because there is metal in it." I said there definitely was not metal in it. When he could not find any metal he had the stump shortened by his worker. I do not feel that it should be necessary for me to oversee a project that I thought I had hired a "professional" to do. I had to call another company to take the stumps out from the other trees he did cut down and they wondered why the people who cut the trees down didn't remove the stumps. I said I didn't think they did that. When I asked Jose he said they did do that but he didn't say so because he felt that I should save my money and not do that. ( He handled everything as to what HE thought and not what I wanted) When he gave me a proposal to take out the stumps which I would have had done when he cut the trees down had I known, he was higher than the other company and refused to give me the ADVERTISED 12% off for new customers since I had already paid him for the work he did. I did NOT hire him to take out the stumps!

It went great. We had to leave before they finished and they left our yard in great shape.

The power company did a hack job on it a couple years ago and the tree was having more branches die because of it. These folks showed me what needed to be done so the tree could return to being healthy. They also spread fertilizer under my trees. They were very nice and very well priced.

We were pleased with the entire process; from the initial phone call to the collection of the last branch.

Jose (certified arborist) and Chapingo provided excellent service in all respects. They pick up the phone (I've never had to leave a message) and they call back or follow up with e-mails excactly as they say they will. They arrive on time and complete the work in a timely manner. They also do a great job cleaning/raking up afterwards - I wouldn't have even known they had been there if the trees and bushes hadn't looked so great! Jose pays attention to the health of the trees/bushes as well as the appearance with a view to how things will look in subsequent years. I asked them to come back and trim a bit more on the tree at our rental property and they came right out and did it with a great attitude. I had gotten three estimates for the work at our rental property and Chapingo's was the lowest by 30% and I was so happy with the work that Jose and his Chapingo crew did that I didn't even bother getting other estimates when I had Chapingo do extensive trimming of multiple trees and bushes at our residence. I highly recommend Chapingo Tree Service.

The company did an outstanding job. The crew of three arrived early to remove a sick 45 foot Noway Maple. I had some concerns since it was near a power line. Not only did the tree removal go smoothly, but the men swept up after themselves. The only reminder of taking down the huge tree was a minimal stump where it had stood. My neighbors were all impress with the quality of service and have asked me for the name of the company. They were also far cheaper than any of the other companies we looked at.

Jose came to our home and reviewed our concerns with the three trees that over the years have been slowly leaning and were in overall poor health. He explained what could be done to possibly save them but was very honest in saying that any fix would be short term as the trees were in very bad shape and no doubt dyng. The price he quoted was very reasonable and as others have said much less than the competitors we had dealt with in the past. He told us he could do the job and said he would be able to schedule us in quickly. He inidcated he would be there on a Saturday between 8:00 and 8:30 AM; his crew showed up at 8:15. The crew was well organized, polite and had all three trees down in 2 hours. Most impressive part was that Jose, the owner, actually arrived with his crew ,stayed on site during the work and helped them finish up the job. Very rare today to see an owner on site and working beside his crew.When they finished the work the entire area was cleaned up and no damage done to any area of our yard, in fact his crew moved and replanted three flowers from the area before they started and when they finished. Amazing and what great customer service. We were so impressed we scheduled Chapingo Tree Care to do more work for us in October and again his quoted price was very reasonable.Jose and his company will most definetly be our tree care and service provider for many years to come.

Jose and crew arrived on time at our residence. All first put on their (PPE) (Personal Protective Equipment). They then held a pre-job brief to go over the tasks ahead. The crew then proceeded to take down all four sections of the river birch, supervised by Jose, while two men's removed limbs, placing them in the chipper. With the tree down, Jose moved in with the stump grinder and proceeded to perform that operation while the balance of the crew fed more limbs, cleaned up area. The crew removed stump grinding wood chips, loosened soil for the new planting. The crew then planted the shrub adding new soil and tamped it down. The crew then completed cleanup. The crew took great care not to damage surrounding plantings. Jose then gave us care instructions for the new shrub. Great job, performed safely and professionally.

Mr. Alvarez came and gave an accurate and informative estimate. They waited until the Forsythia bushes had finished blooming. The crew arrived early and worked every minute. The job was completed quickly and cleaned very neat. He showed the others how to trim those bushes. As they have grown out, we can see the shape appear again. We should have called him years ago. His price was fair.

Mr. Alvarez provided a very detailed work description and cost estimate. On May 3, an experienced and neat crew arrived to remove two very large 7-8' Yew shrubs and ground the stumps level to the ground. They also removed four old and dying branches from a large maple tree. They did exactly as we had requested. About a week later, we realized that we neglected to request removal of several branches that were brushing against the roof of our two-story house thereby providing easy access for ants that are an annual problem here. Having had an excellent experience with Chapingo Tree Care Specialists, we immediately called and requested an additional estimate for this issue. We received a quick response and had the additional branches removed on May 30 by a 3-person crew who were very professional and friendly. As with the previous job, the men thoroughly cleaned up all the debris and left with our gratitude. The approximate cost of service, which we thought was very fair and reasonable, includes both jobs. We would highly recommend Chapingo to anyone requiring tree service

It was really good, and they were very quick about it! Their prices are always very competitive.

We have used them regularly for the past 3 years. Their bids are half the price of their competitors. The guys are very clean, professional and efficient. I can text the owner when I need work and he will text me back quickly. I have recommended them to neighbors who also had great experiences.

They showed up on time and worked non-stop until it was completed. Very nice guys.
