Very professional group of technicians. They were prompt, professional, and cleaned up after the job. We would gladly hire Atlas again, top notch company!

I called to set up a home energy audit and the man who answered the phone was very helpful and pleasant and got me scheduled very quickly. On the day of the audit the technician arrived promptly and did what seemed to be a thorough job. Although, he did not set up the free shower heads that com with the audit, claiming to not have the necessary materials with him. I was told at the end of the appointment that a report would be emailed to me in 1-2 weeks. Eager to have repairs done, I emailed the technician in charge of my account at the end of 2 weeks to ask when I might have the report. I did not receive any response. I then called at the end of 3 weeks and got a hold of the technician. I asked him when he would be sending out the audit report and was told that he already had done so, but he would check his email. WIthin a few minutes of hanging up i received the emailed report. After reviewing the report my husband I decided to go forward with the repairs (despite the lack of responsiveness we had had so far), I again emailed the technician to let him know. Again, we got no response. I called and asked to speak to him, he was out in the field, so I left a message for him to please call or email me. And again I have received no response. I have been extremely disappointed in the service we have received, especially from a company that has previously been well reviewed, and will be pursuing the repairs with another company.

It went well. They showed up on time, did what they said, and were polite.

Atlas Home Energy exceeded my expectations across the board. The entire staff at Atlas was professional, on-time and knowledgeable. The team at Atlas took the time to answer all my detailed questions and went out of their way to educate me on my home's existing insulation levels as well as their recommendations; it was very educational. They were very thorough in their initial review (took about 3-4 hours), but they did not recommend everything they could do as certain work would not result in long-term savings or improve comfort in a measurable way. The report was detailed, but not confusing and the embedded proposal was straightforward and sufficiently clear. They crew (3 guys) was very professional, polite, talented and knowledgeable about their craft. We had them do some additional work while they were in the attic (replace stairs, remove whole house fan, route exhaust fan ventilation) and they did not disappoint. They were very efficient, completing the job within the time frame described in the proposal (2 full days), which is incredibly rare. Their drywall guy (Keith i think) did a particularly great job and even went beyond the scope of the proposal and painted the ceiling where the whole house fan had been (he did this without us even asking). Atlas was successful in generating a leakage savings of approximately 36%, which is considerable and should result meaningful energy savings. Just as important, we have already felt the impact of the improved insulation, particularly over the past 2 days since it has been very hot and humid. There is also a noticeable difference in the sound of the house; it sounds even more solid and sound does not travel as much. They handled all of the paperwork with Pepco, now we are just waiting for the rebate check for a meaningful portion of the work (approximately $1,500 of the $3,385 cost). We were very impressed with these guys. I have, and will continue to recommend Atlas Home Energy Solutions.

They were great. We started with an energy audit and from there Jorge provided a report and a proposal of things that we could do to make our drafty house more energy efficient. They were not pushy at all as far as how much of the proposed work we wanted to do. Jorge also made sure all of the paperwork for the rebate program was completed and ready to send at the follow-up audit. Good experience, would definitely recommend.

Matt performed an energy audit and provided a detailed report on areas where we could improve our home's energy efficiency, along with a proposed work plan and itemized cost list. He also provided information on the available rebates (50% rebate on qualifying energy improvements, with up to $2,000 in rebates) available through Potomac Edison. We scheduled to have the work done and on the appointed day, the three-man crew showed up on time and got right to it. They sealed and insulated two attic spaces (one very large, one pretty small), sealed the band joist area in our crawl space, and sealed and insulated the cantilevered area on the front of the house. They were here about 7-8 hours and worked the entire time, doing a good job of cleaning up after themselves. The crew was also very friendly and polite and they kept me informed of a few issues they encountered throughout the day. Matt came back to do a test-out a complete the rebate paperwork a few days later. The test out confirmed that they had far exceeded the "air tightness" they needed to achieve to qualify for the rebate and we're looking forward to 1) lower energy bills and 2) working with Matt and Atlas Home Energy again if we need any other insulation work done.

The testing was easy and very interesting. They returned for 2 days to make changes in house (added insulation/repaired leaks). Then returned again to do another test for updated results. We immediately saved 20% on energy loss, with only changing 60% of attic space and will increase that after we complete master bath renovation. With the 20% reduction we qualified for rebate from PEPCO for almost 1/2 of the cost of repairs, and the company processed the rebate for us. Now I just sit back and wait for my check!

Very professional. Explanations were clear, appointments kept, work was neat and done as expected. Price was fair even before PEPCO rebate. Overall very satisfied. I've already recommended them to our neighbor.

Initially I was apprehensive. Ultimately I was not only delighted, I was extremely impressed with the people who work at Atlas Hone Energy Solutions. My home is only 12 years old. It was custom built by a very good local contractor. My wife and I had lived in Laurel, MD. We sold our home there to move here and have a new home built when we retired. Our home in Laurel was about 45 years old when we sold it. Our heating and air conditioning costs in our new home were less than half what they were in our old home. Obviously we were delighted with that. Still there was one problem with our new home. Often the temperature in the home would fluctuate several degrees up or down in the afternoon and early evening. I suspected that the problem was our thermostats. We have a three story house and a single furnace with three zones and two thermostats. I had the furnace checked repeatedly and expert technicians assured me that the thermostats were not the problem; however, they did not know what the problem was. Atlas Home Energy quickly isolated areas in the attic that were not thoroughly insulated. The cause was that we have a home built from a Frank Lloyd Wright house plan with a very low and complex ceiling design which made it very difficult to reach the edges around the frame in the attic to add insulation. The solution was to go into the attic with blowing equipment and blow the needed insulation into the gaps. The gaps ran from the roof down through the framing which caused channels of hot or cold air to run up and down the periphery of the house when the sun was setting. The solution has been a dramatic improvement. The after action examination showed a 13% increase in the efficiency of the home insulation. It could have been as much as 20% I was told if I had opted to also have my basement workshop and storage rooms fully insulated. I may do that later, but for now I am very satisfied. Atlas Home Energy also put new insulation around the door from my first floor into the garage. The improvement there is significant. Although it did not qualify for the rebate for improved energy from my energy company, Atlas Home Energy also installed an exhaust system in our master bathroom. The other bathrooms have exhaust fans; however, because there are a lot of windows in the master bath, we did not have an exhaust installed there.The one installed is terrific. It's motion activated, very quiet and very effective. I cannot adequately explain just how impressed I am with the owners/auditors and the installation team chief and work crew from Atlas Home Energy Solutions. They are young, intelligent, motivated, curteous, meticulous and, frankly, charming. I stronly recommend them. The work was great; the prices were fair; and the rebates on insulation were almost 50%.

The engineering approach that was recommended by Matt Sera, Atlas BPI engineer was a "best value" approach that insures that the job when completed will be done right the first time and will be stand the test of time. Matt's use of spray foam to insure complete sealing of air leaks and a preferred method for vertical surfaces. The improvements in the house were immediately noticeable, No more cold spots in the house and the temperature differential between the floors was reduced to a minimum. The forced air heating comes on less frequently. The work was performed on time and on schedule, The workers were professional and the results were immediate. The energy audit report was done very professionally. A well designed solutions provided by a quality BPI energy engineer (Matt Sera), completed by a competent crew makes me a highly satisfied customer who appreciates high quality correctly engineered solutions.

They did an excellent job across the board. Keith did superb job on the bathroom fan replacement, which required patching the ceiling drywall since the newer fans were different size. Matt was especially helpful - when the original audit found the attic soffit vents were inadequate, he provided the engineering analysis on what size soffit vents were needed, which I passed on to the Roofing/Siding company that hired to correct this problem. They were meticulous in their work - judicious use of drop cloths, etc. The followup audit showed a 48% decrease in air leakage in the house !

Crew worked very efficiently and according to contract. The workers were very clean and careful to cover floors and not damage walls, limiting dust and removing all debris.

I would not change anything about this. It can be time consuming but overall it will be worth it.

First Atlas provided a home energy audit of my residence. That involved someone coming to my residence and going into my attic, basement and living area to inspect all the areas involved in home energy efficiency. After that inspection a detailed report was provided to me, showing me what areas needed improvement. Recommendations were given, as well as costs. Once I reviewed the report I was able to decide which recommendations to have done and schedule to have them done. Atlas then performed those items in a timely and professional manner. If I had questions or concerns about any of the items addressed I received a quick response via email or telephone. The overall experience was very satisfying and I will use Atlas for future projects as well as recommend them to anyone else interested in making their homes more energy efficient and saving money

The inspector arrived promptly and began inspecting the outside of the house. Starting with the basement, he looked for air leaks and lack of insulation. He used an infrared gun to take picture where there were air leaks. He moved to each room in the upper two levels of our colonial style home . Upon reaching the top floor, he went into the attic. He took numerous pictures along the way. When finished, he connected the Blower door air pressure test and once it was running , he moved through the house again using the infrared camera to locate leaks. Upon completion, which took about 1 1/2 hours, he sat down to go over his preliminary findings. He also provided free low energy light bulbs, surge suppressor, and low flow water faucet filters and shower heads as energy conservation measures. About two weeks later, a detailed report was received of the inspection with photos of the air leaks and lack of insulation and other matters. The report included items to be repaired or improved to increase efficiency and reduce energy costs. The reports provided costs and the amount of any rebates provided by Potomac Edison or the state which was about 50%. Wished I had done this audit years ago.

It was great from first contact to completion of work. Technicians were thorough, on time, neat and pleasant. I recommend this group highly.

Overall, went very well. Work was completed quickly and on schedule. Matt Sera was extremely responsive to my concerns about foam insulation off-gassing, and answered in great detail all of my many questions. The results of the new insulation made a big difference in comfort. The work was performed to specifications, but we had to go back and trim the foam in some places. (We had opted to install drywall over the foam instead of a sprayed-on fireproof barrier, and the foam had to be perfectly flat to the studs in order to do that.) Matt was very helpful afterwards in filling out forms that will give us a rebate from Potomas Edison on the cost of the insulation.

The process went smoothly. They were punctual and courteous and thorough. They also did extra work to paint the vents the color of the siding to preserve aesthetics.
