Motivational Movers

Description of Work: Makhi Mitchell, Mindy and the crew were on time, efficient and wonderful to work with. I suppose moving heavy things from people's homes always poses unique chalenges. In this case, the location of the apartment had a lot of obstacles (which is why I hired movers). They complained nor viewed these as anything more than part of a days work. They finished the job in two hours, less time than I was expecting. I'm very appreciate of their work.

Description of Work: Moved one of my tenants in to one of my rentals

Description of Work: They arrived during the scheduled time block, the loading and unloading went as well as expected. The team consisted of 4 workers and 2 supervisors. The supervisors were very considerate and explained all the terms upfront. Using a deal I purchased off Angie's list, I scheduled a four hour time window and they finished with 15 minutes to spare. We were moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to a 2 bedroom condo. The entryway in the condo is narrow but they did not create any scuff marks on the walls. Overall the move itself was very professional. An issue was pointed out to me after the movers left that made me delay writing a review. One of the workers urinated in stairwell of the condo building, right by the door across from the elevator, I had no issue with them using the restroom in the condo, a few workers did so before we left the pick-up location. I would still use Motivational Movers in the future, I'd just make sure the supervisors were keeping a better eye on the workers.

Description of Work: Motivational Movers moved all of our household furniture, appliances and other belongings from one house to another. The lady on the phone was very nice and helpful however I was surprised when a gentleman called the night before stating we were to pay in cash on the day. (I had planned to write a check.) This was an inconvenience because we lacked time and had to make a special trip to the bank 5 miles away. The movers themselves were very good. They were all very nice, polite and helpful gentlemen. I hope they get paid well because they worked very hard. (I did tip at the end of job - but if money wasn't an issue for us, I would have given them much more!)

Description of Work: Motivational Movers worked diligently to load and unload our belongings with care. They took about 3.5 hours to do the job. The guys didn't round up like they said and so the big dal saved me even more than I expected. Overall, a young bunch of guys that needed some supervision, but nothing broke. Would use again, but hoping not for some time.

Description of Work: The communication was not the best, left several messages before receiving a return call. The representative had me complete a form for estimate that resulted in an enormous cost. She indicated that the voucher woud reduce the cost some but I disagreed that I would need four people for almost 8 hours for the small amount of furniture. additionally, the 4th driver comes separately, but I would be assessed charges for his mileage and fuel charges as well as the truck. additional fees are assessed for return trip to the Fort Washington, MD office location. this is not okay with me. These charges are extremely high after adding up the total move.

Description of Work: I was excited to get such a good deal on moving services, but found that the service provider was hard to get in contact with at times. Additionally, the estimate they provided was high and made the "deal" not such a great deal anymore. Lastly, they had no availability for our desired moving date, which was very important to us.

Description of Work: We had used professional movers to move house 5 years ago with similar house contents in 4.5 hours with 2-3 men, so had a benchmark of what we expected it to cost. We purchased the 4 hours of moving services and thought there may be a little extra in fees. However the company quoted 7.5-8hr using 4 men, with additional costs being more than twice the value of the coupon ($319 for $580 of service, but final estimation was about $1250). I'm not sure how much difference 5 years can make in costs, but this sure made the scenario unfeasible for us. Their customer service was patient and respectful, but costs beyond what was realistic for us.
