I had purchased an Angie's List deal for 4 movers for 4 hours. The team arrived on time and presented as friendly and professional with me. I could tell that they were working hard to use time wisely in order complete the job in four hours (as evidenced by them getting right to work and coordinating well with one another so that each person was working efficiently). I want to emphasize that the move in location was VERY challenging, especially given the rain, I was not sure if everything would fit and there was some danger involved given slippery surfaces. The negatives: - I noticed a few miscommunications amongst the team members (e.g., the team leader decided to bring a large sofa through the back, but the movers attempted to bring it thru the front, which didn't work and wasted time and energy) - There was some minor damage done to the paint on one corner of the move in location. - Some problem solving was done while pieces were out in the rain (semi covered), when the team could've attempted to figure out a strategy while the pieces were in the truck. The positives: - The team worked hard and quickly, even when working slower would've had a monetary benefit to them (since I had purchased a deal for 4 hours only). - The team disassembled and re-assembled several pieces well. I could tell that they were invested in getting things done correctly. - None of my furniture was damaged! Although some pieces received a few rain drops, there was no damage. - The job was done in time! Even though I had expected the job to last more than 4 hours given the distance between the two locations, they completed the job just in time! I am very grateful that I didn't need to pay extra for this move. Overall, I have the sense that the moving team wasn't trying to cheat me but rather was motivated to do a good job. I guess the name of the company is quite appropriate.

I bought two separate deals: 3 movers and a truck for $230 for the first event, and 4 movers and a truck for $270 for the second event; each for four hours. Moving out of my house was not too bad. I did a lot of the initial work myself, moving most of the boxes to the storage unit on my own. I thought the last remaining furniture items could be handled by the deal without much problem. They showed up with one guy in charge, and three movers. They were courteous and hard-working, but I wouldn't say efficient. My company hired some movers to take me across country, and compared to them, these guys worked a little slow. Lots of fretting over how to fit things into the truck, and only the minimum amount of padding and protection for anything other than the big furniture pieces. For example, I kept asking if I should pack up the flat-screen for them while they loaded the truck. The assured me they'd handle it, but they were so busy that they left it till the end and it never got properly packed. They also ran out of room in the truck, so I offered my work truck and the TV was placed in there with a blanket and a few other awkwardly shaped items...not what I had in mind. They went over the estimate by 30 minutes, which wasn't bad and overall not a bad experience. So now we're in the storage unit and I thought it would be pretty easy to get it out and load it on to the truck for the next move since they were the ones that loaded the unit. I rented two units, one for me with all the boxes I moved myself, and another one that they packed themselves from the full truck after the first move. The supervisor also thought it would be straight forward, especially if I rent a second truck for my boxes and he'd just fill his truck back up with the same stuff he had before. He said a 16 foot truck would be "plenty" for my boxes. Well, it didn't work out as planned. First of all the same crew came back for the second move (even though I paid a higher rate for a forth mover). What they did is designate the supervisor as the fourth guy. I liked the supervisor a lot and admired his enthusiasm, but with him trying to play double-duty, packing the truck from the storage units dragged on horribly. The process was excruciating and I ended up needing to borrow my work truck again (total of 3 trucks) to fit everything. Another thing that was disappointing was that they assured me they would bring floor coverings to protect the new floors in the new house, but that ended up only being more blankets, which were trip hazards and got pushed out of the way. They didn't damage the floors, but they didn't take much care to remove their shoes and tracked mud in through the basement and up the stairs. Not the most professional approach. In the end, we started running way over the estimated time, so I had them just leave all the boxes in the garage and only take the furniture to the rooms. I did quite a bit of lifting in this second move, which I wasn't expecting, but we wouldn't have got it done otherwise. So, I think the main problem was man power. Again, on the first move I paid for 3 guys. They sent a supervisor as well and things went pretty smooth. If they had followed suit, the second move should have been 4 guys and a supervisor. I think we would have been fine in that case, but instead the supervisor wore himself out trying to be both a mover and a coordinator. The end result was that I paid too much, and we were all exhausted. I'm not sure I would use them again.

It went quite well and I plan to use them again soon. They did a good job.

It was very good. They did a great job. I paid an additional charge for the extra hour an half. I would refer them, they did a phenomenal job, were on time, worked hard and did a good job.

Motivational movers was pretty much on-time. We had to make a couple of trips because the truck wasn't big enough and they were late getting back to get the second load. However, in the end, the move went off well and everything was moved successfully.

They were wonderful. Great with communication. Great team. I highly recommend.

Very responsive, purchased a web special and covered all but about $88. The crew showed timely, were very professional and had 7 large items of furniture taken apart and placed in the truck within 45 minutes, the whole experience took only 2 hours which was awesome. Only had one piece that was nicked from the move, where as in the past other movers have destroyed pieces of my furniture. I would definitely utilize this moving service again.

They did reassemble anything they disassembled. It went very well. They did a great job. The one thing that was remarkable was that the supervisor did a good job of managing his guys. He kept his eye on the ball.

We've completed the set up and coordination seamlessly, and are looking forward to the actual upcoming move.

I found Motivational Movers through an Angie's List deal. I was totally impressed with the company from start to finish. Amanda was very helpful and responsive with me over the phone and through email. She gave me tips on preparation so the move would go faster. I followed her advice and the move took less time than the original estimate. The movers arrived a little late, but Amanda had called to let me know they were on their way and when I should expect them. The move took less time than they had estimated. It turned out to be a really easy move with them. I'd definitely use them again.

Very good. The crew was on time and worked hard. They were flexible to my needs and were problem solvers when it came down to a few challenging items. The movers are trained to properly lift and move things and care is given to angles and not banging up your wall or furniture.

They arrived promptly, were courteous, careful and neat.

Overall it went very well. The movers were on-time and made the move in about 2 hours of the four that I was credited under this Deal of the Day by Angie's List. Only one glitch. They hit the ceiling with one of the bookcases and made a small dent in the drywall. However, the movers did a great job in both dis-assembling and then re-assenbling the large desk and adjoined files and bookcases. I would recommend this firm to anyone with a small job like mine.

My experience with them was very good. They were very nice and they did the good job. The only thing was that we actually packed ourselves, so the price was a little off, but they were good, so we let it off. They finished faster because we had done all the packing ahead. They were very polite, careful and helpful. The price was good, but it was actually a little misunderstanding about what we actually needed.

Overall I was extremely happy with the move. Makai and his team was on time, very professional and hard working. They moved me from a three bedroom apartment to a townhome. I was a little apprehensive with movers since I am in the military and have had my furniture damaged many time during a move. The guys were very careful and there was no damage done to any of my thing. I was quoted an estimate but when the job was complete I paid much less than the estimate. I had reserved the movers for four hours and they were done within 3 1/2. I will definitely use this company again and will recommend them to anyone I know who is looking for a great moving company.

Our first contact was about the scale and volume of our move. It went extremely well. Amanda, a wonderful service person, walked us through what Motivational Movers needed to estimate the price of the move. We followed her guidance and readily agreed on a price fair to Motivational Movers and us. MM checked in with us several times about the move. They arrived on time. The staff assigned to the move were extraordinary. They were pleasant, worked hard, did not waste any time, and maintained the standards and values of the building we were moving from and the building we were moving into. They were helpful, respectful (of the building corridors, doors, and other facilites and of people and animals they encountered along the way), efficient, and careful of all our belongings. They were super polite! To everyone, including residents in both buildings. MM's crew was quick! They moved us in a flash, taking their time, but also being very efficient. We did not feel they were rushing or that they were rushing us. But, they were fast and loved showing us how competent and productive they were. All in all, we enjoyed this move! Can you imagine? And, it was all because MM was all everyone said it was...friendly, quick, low cost, effective, and highly service oriented. Amanda was pretty spectacular. They are a good bet for your next move!

Motivations Movers provided the absolute best moving experience we've ever had. They showed up on time and were efficient, careful with our things, and communicated clearly about how the whole move was going to work. The guys were extremely polite and considerate of our new home - taking care to not track in dirt and courteously asking where each item should go. I would highly recommend you secure these guys for your next move.

I purchased the 3 movers/4hrs coupon ($230) before filling out the moving worksheet. After completing it, the projected requirement estimated the job at 8 hrs/+ given that it was a townhouse, 3 bedrooms and 3 flights of stairs. When I called the very friendly service rep, she offered to upgrade the coupon to 5 movers/4 hrs for just an additional $70. Anything over 4 hrs would be at the standard rate of $150/hr. The movers arrived precisely on time and immediately began their work. To my surprise there were 5 movers and a supervisor. I must admit that I underestimated my job, but they were friendly, efficient, and accommodated all my requests. Total job time was 5 hrs and 45 minutes and I believe they overachieved on that. I gladly paid the extra and tipped all the workers for excellent work. I would use them again in a heart beat.M
