W. L. Meekins was responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. Their price was much lower and they were able to schedule us at a much earlier date than another company we contacted. The only thing that bothered me was that when I originally called, I wanted to schedule the appointment 2 weeks in advance, and they wanted me to call back the next week. However, after I persisted, they made the appointment for me, and everything went smoothly.

Very Well!! After my Angie's List discount about $200. They showed up on time and were very professional and at the end of the day I was very happy with their performance! My Deed was old and from the mid 1940's. They drafted a correction as to how the deed should be written by todays standard making it better and easier. Also making it more correct and understandable for the future. Plus gave me a nice looking new detailed plat of my property. I also requested an additional steak point for an area I was concerned about so I knew exactly were the property line was. Extra Aluminum steaks are and additional $25. I don't correct deeds everyday and asked if they new a good lawyer to get this fixed. They recommended someone that after doing business with them I would also hire that person again not only to handle my land issues but to handle my legal need as well. Over all I would hire W.L. Meekins, INC again if I ever had to go through this again. Highly recommend if you need professional land surveying services performed. They were FANTASTIC!!

I need a boundary survey for a shed, fence, and tree work. I contact several providers through their websites. They were the only ones that responded in a timely manner. Their turnaround time from my contact to the work was fairly quickly. Well worth the money. I found out the lot extend 1 1/2 foot more than I realized and I was able to remove a dead tree that was entirely on my property. For some reason the neighbors wanted to keep a dead tree.

This was a very pleasant experience. I tried to get estimates from other AL providers for survey services. None of the other guys replied and should not be taken too seriously. W.L. Meekens was everything you hoped and exected .... and then some. Very satisfied with the results and the entire process was drama free. Definitely would recommend and would not hesitate to use them again. A job well done.

They came very quickly and dis an excellent job of surveying our hilly lot which lot where the original stakes had been lost. I would give them a high recommendation.

The people for WL Meekins exceeded all my expectations. One of the three companies I had gotten estimates from to provide this service -boundary survey- for me, clearly seemed to be on top of the game from the get go. - Getting an accurate estimate from them was painless, they were pulling info about our property right on the phone, they satisfied all my questions, being that I'm a first time home owner, had plenty for them. - The appointment was quickly and conveniently set up, they were readily available for my convenience. - They were on time, even early. - Bill and assistant worked for almost two hrs, were very through. They found and re-placed markers ( Stake+ metal rods) in all four corners of my property, an additional one placed on one of the sides due to a slope. - The plat drawing arrived when they said it would, on time. Love the fact that they stuck to the estimate, there were no surprises, work was detailed oriented and thorough. I got to finally know exactly the boundaries of the land surrounding my house. Great work!

WL Meekins was very easy to work with, and they got the job done on time and as expected. They weren't the cheapest option for surveying our property and putting down stakes in preparation for building a fence, but they were very flexible on timing, and overall great professionals. Glad we used them.

I called to ask if they could do a full survey in time for my very quick closing, and they said that they should be able to do by my deadline (<2 weeks). I confirmed with them via email, and they actually performed the survey in less than a week and emailed me the results in plenty of time for the closing.

I was very happy with the work done, it took a while, but I was not in a hurry, and appreciate all the attention to detail to get it right. I don't think it was an easy job.

When I called to get an estimate and details of what they would do, and then to set up the survey, Paul and then Karen very patiently answered all of my questions. Pat and Leonard arrived on time and were very professional. Pat explained the process and kept me informed as he finished each step, including getting access to neighbors' yards to locate markers. When he was done, Pat walked me around the lot to explain what he did to uncover or set each marker.

They arrived on the date and time they said they would be here. After completing the survey the surveyor showed me his findings on the ground and indicated that I would receive a Montgomery County approved surveyor's certificate. They were courteous and helpful.

I'm glad that I called these guys and used them. My title company had recommended another firm which gave me a quote for $1300, but W.L.Meekins did that for only $700. They were responsive and did the surveying on a short notice. Also, when I picked up the survey results, the gentleman at the counter explained the results to me. The only thing that they can improve upon is to accept credit card payments. I had pay them with cash.

They were able to schedule the work in less than a week. The Meekins crew arrive right on time on the morning of the scheduled work. They were very professional, explaining what they were going to do and inquiring if I had any questions. When they had completed the work the crew chief walked the boundaries with me and explained with they had found and showed me the locations of each marker. | |This was a very good experience and accomplished exactly what I needed. I would certainly use this provider again and high recommend their services.

This was our first experience with a land survey company. We called around and got a few quotes. Meekins was right on point with the other companies. On the day of service, Pat and his crew showed up right on time. He was very personable and took time to walk around the property with me to go over what they would do. I left to run errands and came back a few hours later. Evidently there was a mixup with the order regarding the fence stakes, but Pat was kind enough to get his gear out again and add the extra two stakes free of charge. He was very friendly and professional at all times. The next day I called and asked if the plat could be emailed to me in addition to being mailed out. I expected this to still take a few days, but I had a PDF in my inbox that very night. The plat was quite thorough and easy to read. We really appreciate Meekins and Pat in particular getting everything done so quickly!

Two nice guys showed up promptly (and soon after I called the company). They surveyed the property, which took quite some time. Two days later, I picked up the finished drawing (site plan) at their very cool (old-fashioned) office. All very smooth, professional, and satisfactory.

I've lived in the house for 41 years but had never ascertained whether the fences installed by previous owners were on, within, or over the official property lines. I had new neighbors behind me and on one side, and the family on the other side was thinking of moving; it seemed like a good time to find out just where my property begins and ends. Meekins was able to come the day after I called. The two-man crew arrived exactly on time. They spent three hours clambering around in the bamboo, prickly ash, poison ivy, dog rose thickets, wintergreen creeper, honeysuckle, and things I don't know the name of to survey my 8,000 sq. ft. lot. After the new markers had been put in, the lead surveyor walked the boundaries with me, pointing out where the boundary markers were placed--including one in the trunk of a tree.

We wanted to be sure where our property lines were before building a new fence. Metal markers and flagged stakes at four corners of property. Two intermediate points also marked to prevent any dispute with neighbor. Received four copies of plat.

The service, explanations, and follow through was excellent. I have a property in DC where my lot has 6+ neighbors (1 parallel and 5 perpendicular lots). In preparation of an upcoming fence project to re-establish property lines, one of the neighbors reacted poorly to the results of the survey. The surveyor communicated well to both myself and the neighbor on the final results.

I called to inquire and was told "I'm sorry we are not providing service in VA right now" Why is this person on the list for my area of VA?

Team showed up, ask about the project in order to determine what points to mark in addition to the four boundary points. Went to work tracking boundary. Took the time to explain the results and review the work done.

The surveyors mid morning. They explained what they were going to do. They located original property markers and where they could not locate the original markers, they set new poles in the ground and also wood markers with a red flag so it would be easy for me to see. They said they will be sending me a report of their survey in the mail in a few days. They were very professional and explained exactly what they were going to do and showed me each marker after it was completed. It took about 2 1/2 hours.
