Initial meetings with Jerod and Daren went great - they fully understood what we were looking for. They came up with a design and renderings of what the backyard would look like. Very, very nice. We agreed to get started with the process. I was interested in a one stop shop operation. (We had checked out other pool places and they only installed the pool - you had to call your own fence guy/landscaper/patio guy, etc.) Jerod has it all buttoned up - he sent A.J. the landscaper to the site and we worked with him on what trees we wanted out, they took care of that. As things progressed - Jerod and A.J. worked closely, so that they both knew the time frame of everything that was taking place. Once, pool and concrete was done. A.J. called to set up a meeting to come over and see what landscaping we wanted done. He was quick to get everything installed. We keep adding additional things with A.J. and he just handled things as we gave them to him. Kirk, the pool cleaning guy is even part of their team. Wonderful. We have twice worked with pool companies in the past - and Precision Pools is by far the BEST ones to deal with. Jerod and A.J. and the whole team have everything buttoned up - that not anything was missed. I have had many compliments on our backyard - an oasis. So beautifully done. I have passed their information to friends that are thinking about putting a pool in.

When we moved to our new home, the first thing we wanted to do was build a pool. We had always wanted one, and were finally moving to a property that had enough space. Since the move happened in mid-March, we wanted to move quickly to hopefully have it completed for use this year. We contacted several pool companies that had been recommended by friends, including Maryland Pools, Anthony Sylvan and the Sunset Group. We did our own research on Angie's List and found Precision Pools as well. We ended up getting three bids from Precision Pools, Maryland Pool and The Sunset Group. We contacted Anthony Sylvan, however they had a call center that scheduled their appointments and they required that both homeowners be present during the initial meeting. That was a red flag for us, so we cancelled that appointment. All three companies offered up a lot of information about the process. Maryland Pools presentation seemed a bit canned, but was informative. Precision and Sunset we a bit more casual. I pretty much knew what we wanted from a design perspective after having looked at length on places like Pinterest for design ideas. With all three companies we kind of sketched it out during our meeting, but Darren from Precision went as far as to spray paint an outline in the yard of the design so that we could see approximately how big it would be. We found that helpful, and made an adjustment to the size we thought we wanted after seeing it drawn out in the yard. All three companies were prompt in getting back to us with estimates. Maryland Pools was the lowest, Precision was in the middle and the Sunset Group was highest. Maryland Pools provided a final pencil sketch for the design, whereas Precision and Sunset both provided CAD drawings. Precision Pools took an added step of creating a 3-D video of the design, which was amazing. It allowed us to fully visualize what the final pool would look like in our yard. It was really impressive. The combination of Darren's attention to detail, their method of construction (using only the best equipment, which we researched) and the final design lead us to choose to have Precision Pools do the construction. We are particularly glad not to have chosen Maryland Pools, as shortly after we started our pool, they went out of business. Within 2 weeks of signing off on the proposal and submitting a deposit, construction began. Precision handled all of the permitting along the way, so we didn't have to worry about that. The project began with the outlining of the pool with steaks and balsa wood due to the fact that the pool had many curves to it. That outline indicated where the crew needed to dig. After that they dug the hole, put in gravel, did the pipe/plumbing work inside the pool, layed rebar, shot the concrete, did the stone coping around the edge of the pool, did the pool and table tile (we had a custom table and bench seats installed inside the pool!), did the stamped concrete pool deck, added the interior coating, and set all of the equipment. Immediately after the interior coating was added, we filled the pool. After signing the contract in late April, the entire process was complete by July 1st. It was about 8 weeks, as Darren had indicated it would be. Had weather not played a role in some delays, it would have been done in mid-June. Once everything was complete, Precision sent someone out to educate us on the equipment, and to set up the app that is supposed to be used to control the equipment from an iPhone. That, however is not functioning because the company that created the app is behind in getting it updated, so that is still on the punch list. I work from home and was able to monitor and photograph the entire construction process. You can see the full project on their Facebook page. I would recommend Precision Pools to anyone who is looking for high quality construction, attention to detail and unique design ideas. If you are looking for something cheap or cookie cutter, they are probably not the right choice, but for anything custom and high quality, they are great.

Before we decided to complete the pool project, my wife and I were concerned about that amount of time and the number of various contractors that would be needed to finish a job of this scope. Jerod, the owner of Precision Pools, met with us to discuss our concerns and assured us that as the General Contractor, he would ultimately be responsible to finish the job in a timely manner and on-budget. True to his word, we saw a coordinated symphony of no less than 12 separate trades completed one after another. Likewise, we were always updated with "what's happening next and when." Not a single ball was dropped from the "first dig" until we did our first "cannonballs." The finished product exceeded our expectations in everyway possible... My wife and I were looking to build a high end, built in swimming pool and we got 3 estimates. Precision Pools came highly recommended to us by a friend. Precision Pools had, by far, the best pool design for our yard. They took us on a tour of pools that they had built, which were gorgeous and the owners were so proud to show them off. The pool was built on time for the pool party that we had planned. Our friends and guests are always amazed by the design, beauty and options of our pool. We have a diving board, basketball goal and volleyball net for the kids. Led lights that make the pool and spa change colors and deck jets that shoot out multicolor lighted water. We have a tanning ledge that is 8" deep that you can put lawn chairs and an umbrella on. It is built across 2 levels of stamped concrete patios with matching retaining walls, steps and stone gardens for landscaping. They installed a built in hot tub that matches the design of the pool. The pool and hot tub can be heated with a propane heater. I love that everything can be operated with a remote control. Temperature, jets, lights, spa bubbles ect. it is very cool. If you are considering a swimming pool, I highly recommend that you get a design and estimate from Precision Pools.
