The carpentry and brickwork were superb and the end result is a great addition to the house. Job site was kept clean and all materials removed once the job was completed.
Description of Work: Kitchen window was a single window and we wanted to make it into a double. House is over 40 years old and needed to cut the brick out, install new windows to match the existing replacement windows and re-brick the opening. The challenge was to match the window opening, older bricks and the color of the mortar between the bricks. The team that did the work were very efficient and knew what they were doing. Once the bricks were removed to enlarge the opening, the new window was installed and they recommended a brickyard to search for matching bricks. Although difficult, we did find a close match and the window was then bricked-in with new mortar. New aluminum trim was installed on the window frame to match the existing house. The end result is a wonderful addition to the house, and is a great match.

I had a large 42 inch wide cupola made of PVC that was very heavy that needed to be installed on a roof with a very steep pitch. The cupola came in 3 pieces - base, middle section, and top. The first phase required tracing the pitch of the roof onto the base unit and cutting the "V" for the unit to sit on the roof. The contractor was very careful to support the piece very well so that it would not break as PVC can crack very easily. The base was pushed up some ladders by three men, placed into position, and screwed into 2X4's for support. The next phase required the middle section to be pushed up the ladders and mounted on the top of the base. This was a very heavy piece (possibly 85 pounds) and the three guys Carefully placed it upon the base and attached it with screws. The final phase required the installation of the weathervane hardware into the top section, pushing it up onto the roof and mounting it on top. This was very risky as the top probably weighed 50 pounds and the men had to lift it to shoulder height to fit. The owner of the company, Geno, was one of the men doing the work and was extremely careful and conscientious about being safe and not possibly damaging the unit. The job took about 3 hours from start to finish and turned out perfectly.
Description of Work: Provider installed a large cupola and weathervane on a very steep pitch roof. Please note that I do not like to put pricing into Angie's list as every job is unique and not something that can be compared to any other job.
