Krause Plumbing & Heating

I called Krause because my gas fireplace would not ignite. An appointment was scheduled for a few days later. Ray arrived on time, was very friendly and polite and fixed the problem in a short amount of time. Additionally, the fireplace is 15 years old and had a good amount of grime built up on the glass and Ray proactively cleaned the glass after he repaired the fireplace. It looks and works like its brand new. I thought the charge for this service was very reasonable.

I had a great experience with Raynor Electric. Dru (spelling, sorry) came and gave me an affordable price. I wanted/needed it completed for John's, birthday. He is my better half. Dru, made that happen. The gentlemen he sent was the best. He had a lot of obstacles to overcome but would not stop until he figured it out. He was a really nice person, professional, smart, driven. I will definitely use them again and, I highly recommend Raynor Electric..

I had used them before. The experience was adequate to okay. It took them long enough to order the unit and change it. It was quick. I haven't had any problems. The pricing was okay, they are not cheap.

Our air conditioning was not working. System was about 10 years ago with a new compressor put in about 3 years ago. I called the company that installed the compressor. He told me that the Freon was gone and then preceded to tell me that he knows where the leak is and that it not not fixable. I would need a new system. He gave me an estimate on a new system. I called Krause to get a second price. I was in a hurry and the only one who was available the next day was the owner Larry. Larry offered to take a look at the system to see if it was repairable. Larry Krause looked at where the other guy said there was a leak and told me that there was clearly not a leak there - Freon doesn't even pass through the part where the other guy said there was a leak. Larry suggested he dispatch his best technician to try to find the leak. The technician showed up the next week and found the leak in about 10 minutes. He also showed me what caused the leak - shoddy workmanship from the company that installed the compressor (the same guy who told me I needed a whole new system). Krause fixed the system and saved us a whole lot of money over a brand new system. Larry Krause could have easily given me a quote on a new system, but he decided to do the right thing. I have all of the respect in the world for Larry Krause and his company. Their honesty saved us about $4,000.

Very polite and professional. Kept us informed at each stage. They did use subcontractors, but they were transparent and accountable. Did high-quality work. We're very happy with their work and will likely hire them for future work.

Very responsive and professional company. I got other quotes that were cheaper but when I dug deeper they included more. I usually go with the cheapest I can find. This was switch up for me but I am so tired of putting out thousands of dollars over a period of time to unrepeatable people. They came so recommended and were the first ones to give me a written contract. Their office staff are so terrific. Some companies would only give me a quote and list on the phone but nothing written and I did not trust that.

My experience was great. They were good people. They did what they said they were going to do. They were on time. They were within the budget that we have established. The work was good quality work. If I had any dislikes, the only dislikes, we had a mishap with one of the cabinets and it broke and it set the project back a couple of weeks. That's something that I really wouldn't want to be a black mark on them, it's just one of those things that happen. Out of the whole experience, that is the only that put any kind of a black mark, if you will, on it. Everything else they did was great. And, they allowed me to participate. They were really good to work with.

There were no problems with the installation. I was able to make an appointment easily. They ordered all of the items necessary to complete the job. There was no evidence that hey had been to my home at all post cleanup.

A representative came to the house to provide an estimate for the work that needed to be completed. He was very polite, prompt, and thorough. When they came to actually complete the repairs, they worked quickly, without compromising the quality of the work done. They also cleaned up after themselves to the point that I would not have known they were their had I not been home while the work was being completed. I would recommend them.

Overall I'm satisfied with the work that was done. Word of caution watch the time as they charge every 15 minutes. I felt I was overcharged, as the serviceman cleaned all his equipment when done with the work and cleaned himself then went back out to his truck to write up the ticket so that racked up another 30 minutes. Was also additionally charged for the cleaning solution to clean the system and wasn't told in the beginning of the job. Service man cleaned all the soot and mold from unit and dumped it in my backyard instead of over the fence into the surrounding woods so I had a mess to contend with.

It went very well. The did a very nice job. I would recommend using them. They also helped me get rebates for my power company.

The service was incredible. The tech was knowledgeable, honest, and thorough. No complaints, just great service!

I have used their services for several years. They show up when they say they are going to be here. They seem to be knowledgable. Whenever we have had a problem, they have fixed it well and I have never had to call them out for it again.

I did a lot of the work myself and Krause was very cooperative. The project went well with only a couple minor problems. The punchlist was very small. We enjoyed working with Larry and would use them in the future.

I haven't had any problems since. The workers were very good, right on time, and did a good job.

Our 7 year old HVAC unit wasn't working so we called these folks since they were the ones to install it when the last owners renovated what is now our home. They sent a technician who was able to fix it after a few phone calls to another technician. I tried to explain to the technician the issues we were having with the unit when he was at my home, but I had the feeling he didn't understand the system as it is a state of the art, energy-efficient system. So of course a few days later it went out again, a different technician came over. Fixed it again, but said we may need a panel replaced if it happens again, sure enough it did. The new technician ordered the part and said someone would call once it was in. Nobody called. I had to call only to find out they had to order a second piece and we'd have to go with HVAC a little longer. Fine. Well, they came over to install the part. Told us it was under warranty and we would only have to pay for labor...YAY! The part was over $400. These people called a week later to inform us they were wrong. They in fact ran the part AFTER installing it and it wasn't under warranty. We owed them $430. I was angry. I asked why wouldn't they confirm this before telling us it was under warranty. I asked for at least a discount on the part. The woman said she would talk to the owner and call me back. I never got a call back. Just got an invoice in the mail for $430. I called back again and was told "sorry, but mistakes happen." Clearly these folks aren't looking to keep me as a customer. After a lot of complaining, I eventually got a discount.

They came out a couple of weeks ago. They are a good company and they have multiple divisions. They have done work on my air conditioning system and what not. It's a very reputable company. The guy did a good job of making the estimate. I haven't selected whose going to do the work yet. I'm still waiting for some other bids. They do good work. They are very good on responsiveness.

Excellent. My only complaint was a delay in the delivery of the special waterheater by the factory. It delayed the completion of hte project by 3 months, though this was not a problem.

We discovered that the AC unit/furnace was dripping water on a Saturday. We called Krause and a technician arrived within 3 hours and fixed the unit. The technician was knowledgeable and offered advice for future maintenance of the unit.

It was very difficult to work with Krause Plumbing and Heating Company. I found them to be just like typical contractors. The plumbers that they brought in were under qualified. Lot of the work had to be remedied by their master carpenter who was fabulous. I would not work with Krause Plumbing and Heating Company again.

I cannot say enough positive things about Krause (and Flanagan's as they are one in the same companies out of Forest Hill). Another company had done some roofing repairs 2 months earlier which resulted in more problems than I had prior to calling them. After several unsuccessful attempts to rectify the issue thru them, I called Krause. Jim Flanagan, one of the owners of the company, came out to take a look. He immediately identified the roof leaks as coming from the old tar the previous company neglected to scrape off when they replaced the plumbing boot vent covers. Jim fixed both leaks, replaced 3 missing shingles, and reviewed the other work performed by the previous roofing company. Jim suggested I have them come back out and install screws every 4' in the flashing they replaced as it was beginning to stick out. He was so honest to not charge me for work that the other company would need to do for free as I had already paid them for the job that they did not do well. It is now March 23rd 2011 the roofing repair made by the first company has been leaking worse than ever. Jim Flanagan came to the rescue once again. Krause gave me an estimate of $900 to remove all of the work the first company did poorly and begin from scratch. However, after further reviewing the roof work with me it was clear that the first company did not perform the job they charged me for. Jim gave me some suggestions on how I can handle the situation so that I am not paying double for the repair that was not done correctly. He is one of the most honest,helpful, professional contractors it has been my pleasure to come across. It was my mistake not using them the first time but I am loyal to Krause and Flanagan from here on out.

They provided me with a quote beforehand and their price was reasonable. Also, they were able to schedule the work within a week whereas most companies were going to take a month or so. The roof isn't leaking yet so they must have done well.

I thought they did a great job. They’re professional and they cleaned up after themselves when they were done. They were very good. I got several quotes and they were the most reasonable.

We received three estimates, their price was the best. We were told it would be a one day job, when they arrived the first day they said it would be a day and a half. It turned out to be three full days. The new heating unit was defective and had to be replaced. Once the replacement unit was installed, there were more technical difficulties that caused delays. Once installation was complete, the A/C is running great. The technicians were very frustrated with all the problems. This job was the first time they experienced such problems. I'm not sure what to make of that. Although they remained courteous and professional, I was disappointed that they did not keep me updated throughout.
