I have a contact where I pay $14.47 monthly. My only concern like any other consumer you don't like someone telling you have to spend money to replace this because it needs replaced. I have a Trane system they installed 11 years ago and I have been with them ever since. The system itself has been wonderful the only thing is periodically a part needs replaced and those parts tend to be a little expensive. I am very very happy with them. They are also very helpful in terms of their pricing.

I think they have a couple of locations.

We are under contract with Blue Dot the last five years, and they have been very satisfactory. They're here no matter what, they're on top of it. They make sure the whole system is working out real good. There was a little charge, but it was for the capacitor, we were charged for the labor of putting them in. I like that you make an appointment with them and they say between ten and two and they are here within ten and two, and they check the whole thing and do the job. Very professional. I'm not worried about improvement, because they're so technical and I'm not that technical on it. We have a yearly contract so we have the pick your price contract, but I think they're very reasonable. They send us a bill and we paid it, and it wasn't nothing exuberant. It was high quality. They are very good and they know what they're doing.

It was an old unit and they figured it cost more to fix it then to just put a new one in. Part of it was under insurance and part of it was putting the new unit in, and I have to guess about 5 to 6 thousand dollars, something in that range, I have no idea. The thing that I liked about them was they were so clean and nice when they came in, and they turned everything upside down, and then they turned right around and left the place just spotless. I think their training is very, very good, and what I think is their best improvement they could ever have, is the fact that they work on the high vacs and they work on the furnaces, and they don't get in all this other stuff, you know, cleaning vents or washing windows. They specialize, which is very, very good. I think if we called them right now, they would be over here before noon, that's very impressive. They are professional, they even put the little booties on before they come in the house.

This might be one of the worst companies I have ever hired. Consistently arrives 2 hours past schedule or never arrived at all. On our second job they just never showed up. When I went to find out what was going on, they said they would have someone contact me. No success and it's almost been a full day. We went with GAC Services instead. Their technician informed us that our prior contractor (BlueDot) incorrectly re-wired our furnace so that our AC unit would never work. So not only does BlueDot not call back or show up, but their prior work is completely incompetent. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else. Oh if you do ever go with BlueDot, for who knows what reason, and Don shows up please request someone else.

This was not a simple "I need to fix my furnace." I thought the price was fair. They did four units at the same time. It was a big job. I thought they were very professional. I thought they were very honest and reputable.

The service contract includes that and any service I need for a year. I don’t know how I would differentiate that charge. It took less than an hour to do the checkup. One person came out to do the work. Everything was good. I have been using them for awhile.

The serviceman was very professional and knowledgeable. They told me what might need to be repaired, but were not pushy about me getting it done quickly. In my case it was just a capacitor.

We have a service contract with them now. I still use them. It took them two days to replace the system. Two workers came out to install the system. We have been using them for years.

Currently, we have a service contract with Blue Dot which accounts for 24/7 services. Called this morning at around 6:45 AM as the furnace did not turn on and it was 61 degrees. They said someone would be here between 12-4 PM. Haven't heard from anyone, hence called at 3:15 PM. Rep informed me that the tech will show up, but it will be after 4 PM. I would be ok with it if I knew ahead time as I just lost a day of vacation. I could have worked a full day. I don't see the value in Blue Dot's service plan.

We’ve been pretty lucky, I would say blessed with the people we’ve had. As a matter of fact, I still use them because we use them at the rental property now and they are doing the work over there.

We have a maintenance agreement with them. “A” for everything, things run so smooth. He just comes in and does the maintenance, I didn’t time him, he did it the same day. Your familiar with them, things just run smooth. It’s not a different person each time that comes out. The work and the professionalism keeps me going back.

Most of the time the same maintenance guy comes out. They’re professional. The maintenance guy was very professional, he explained everything, he moved our unit and comes out twice a year.

Professional and reasonably priced.

Work was done in one day - about 12 hours. 2 gentlemen who if I did not see them you would not have known they were there. All the mess that was involved in install was gone, system works great and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

They did an excellent job, they got it all installed quickly. I've used them before and I knew their products and they were happy to do it again.

This process was very smooth from the sale to the installation. Mario (sales) was very professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with during the entire process. The installation process went smoothly as well. The technicians arrived on time each day and were very professional, taking special care to protect the walls and floors during installation. I would definitely hire this Blue Dot team again if needed.

Appointment time was between 8:00am and 12:00, but I was a fool to believe that they would be on time. At 11:57am, I get a phone call from the tech saying he'll arrive in 30 minutes, so I sit on my hands until 12:35pm when he shows up and tells me that they (Blue Dot) doesn't work on oil furnaces any more. Just great, they knew this months before and neglected to tell me, the costumer. That's just bad management, poor record keeping and a failure to communicate. When I spoke with the service manager, he said "sorry", "lawsuits", "blah blah blah" and we will refund the unused portion of your contract. I don't think it's OK to unilaterally cancel a contract like that and will most likely talk with my lawyer about it.

Consumer beware. I called them out because our A/C broke on the hottest day of the year. The tech came out and after about an hour of troubleshooting, told us the repair would be about $2,500. We were advised that it may be better to get a new unit, which of course runs 10k easily. I felt very uneasy and called Carroll Home Services out. Turned out to be a $300 repair- thankfully Carroll was honest, since I know nothing about A/C repair. It could have been an honest mistake and their tech just wasn't certain of the problem. However, I would have hoped that if he was not sure, he would have called out another tech to look. Regardless, I felt pretty deceived. They did refund the house call fee when I called. Always get a second opinion!

I had dealt with them for the maintenance on the old furnace. I keep getting heat and I keep getting A/C. They always give you a call to setup an appointment and they show up on time. Their professionalism is very good. They come in with the little things on their feet and walk around and always ask where everything is and can I show them, to make sure I had no issues with security. They do quality work. When someone shows up on time or if there was going to be any kind of delay, they call you ahead of time to let you know, to make sure you have your window blocked up for them and they put the little footy things on and walk around, you've got to give them an 'A'

The worst service I have seen in a long time. We have had a maintenance contract with this company for 22 years, have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them, but when one of our units broke two weeks ago the result was terrible: two weeks to order the part (TVX valve); price quote that was outrageous in hindsight (1300), and then the worst: repeated deliberate lies about the tech being "on his way." to make the repair. First appointment was set for 8/26, and this was repeatedly confirmed. No one showed up. Then supervisor absolutely promised tech would come 8/27. Again, numerous calls to Blue Dot to confirm and numerous promises that tech would be there shortly: was nearby and had the part , etc. No one showed the second day. Two full days waiting for a tech to show. Finally Mike Giddings called and admitted they had messed this up, offering no excuse for why we were told tech was on his way, etc when in fact the part was never ordered and the tech never dispatched. The worst customer service: deliberate lies and misinformation at every turn. Beware this company, which is not the company we knew over 22 years. They have outsourced their customer contact service to people who are apparently told to lie to the customers about service calls.

What they could do is stop trying to sell us a new air conditioner every time they come.

My heat pump A/C system began blowing warm air on Thursday. I called Blue Dot and received a Friday afternoon appointment from 2-5 PM. The tech. did not arrive until 6:40. Not a very personable sort, he verified my issue and went back outside to check the unit. He came back in 10 minutes later with a canister in his hand telling me the capacitor is bad and that he could get me up and running that night and the part cost would be $280. It's now almost 7 PM on a Friday night, 90+ degrees outside and 86 degrees in my house. And how am I supposed to know if that's not just how much those things really cost. He went back outside, and came back in 15 minutes later with a completed work order to sign. Cost was $85 for the visit and $280 for part for a total of $365. After doing some internet research, I found that the RETAIL cost of one of those parts for me to buy ranged from $55-80 dollars. I certainly understand price markup to make a profit in a business, but a markup beyond 100% I feel is unreasonable. The markup on this part was upwards of almost 500%. That is price gouging and taking advantage of a customer in a time of need. I phoned Blue Dot on Tuesday to express my dismay at their exorbitant price markup. The CSR said she would inform a manager and have them contact me, No contact for two days. So, Blue Dot, enjoy the extra money you gouged from me because, instead of a customer for life, I will never use your company again, and will tell everyone I can to look elsewhere for their heating and air conditioning service needs.

I didn't find them on Angie's list. I see their trucks here all the time. I have used them for probably about 3 years. They do a lot of work around here. A lot of people use Blue Dot Services. The first guy that came, I didn't like him and I complained. They came right out because I don't think he did a good job. They came right out with another person and he did great. They didn't charge me for the second time. The first time was for the regular tune up. It was $59 and it was a special. I would give them an A because they responded very quickly to my complaint and they were super nice about it. The first guy I didn't like at all but, they were so good about coming back out and sending a different person.

I usually have them come twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. If you call within a certain amount of time, they have like $59 if you give it in before a certain date and the it goes up to $69, and then it goes up to $79. They always were very professional and came in and did what they had to do. The quality was an A or I wouldn't have called them back. Responsiveness is an A because you can schedule almost anytime you want.
