hardwood floor

Description of Work: Ryan and his father gave me a price to refinish the hardwood steps in my home, they were very responsive with there estimate and gave me a competitive price. I signed a contract with them and they came in to do the work within a week. When the job was complete I was very pleased with the outcome of the work. The father and son work well together and were very conscious of detail and cleaned every day after the job was complete for the day.

 + -1 moreThe Uhlers, father and son, were punctual, and completed the job efficiently and quickly. In addition to the above they moved the stove and two base cabinets from the kitchen, which necessitated their removing, then replacing, a door. They covered an open doorway with plastic sheeting. We were very pleased with outcome of the project. It exceeded our expectations.
Description of Work: The Uhlers removed the kitchen flooring, including a bottom paper layer glued to the wood floor. They sanded the heartwood pine floor and refinished it with two layers of polyurethane. They provided and installed three new oak thresholds which matched the adjoining rooms' floors. Matching heartwood pine boards were installed in a void that had been created by partial removal of a wall. The wood was provided from their collection of old boards. They also provided and installed shoe molding, stained to match the floor.
